    Baby shower cake.
    Jeanne A.

Ordered a cake for my daughter's baby shower. The order was seamless, communication clear, and the cake both beautiful and delicious - lemon cake with raspberry filling. The guests were oohing and ahhhhing. Honestly I want to make up an occasion so I can order another cake!

We ordered a slice of Cocoa cake and two Canelé. Both were delicious. Such a cute bake shop!

Yum! Cardamom bun was fluffy and the almond cherry scone was also tasty. Pleasant shop - they have a few outdoor tables to enjoy your treats at too :)

Returned for this year's birthday cake- this time getting two! The flavors were spot on- 6" Orange, Almond, Poppy was sweet, delicate, and fragrant all at the same time. 6" Vanilla + Lavender with creative blackberry filling, chocolate frosting, & lavender-honey permeation was a combination worth taking a gamble on. Cake was not dry this time. But prices climbed quite a bit & decorating wasn't quite as fabulous- the one cake was blank (was supposed to read Happy 50th Birthday) & a less colorful display- mostly white flowers when last year's had the addition of figs. But that's just being a diva I suppose.

We used Factory Girl Bake Shop for our wedding and I would HIGHLY recommend doing so. It was easy to work with and trust the team, everything was fresh and delicious, and my guests still talk about the cookies even though it's been months. So glad this place exists.

Delicious made from scratch, seasonal, & different from everyone else. Eclectic flare in her bake shop & her treats. Amazing english muffin bread, homemade pop tarts, scones (light & fluffy), bourbon cake, caramel salted brownies, & pink floyd cookies. Her wedding cakes are stunning & so delicious! I ordered scones for a baby shower....easy process & warm out of the oven. Everyone loved them! A must go! Check this out!!!!

The pastries here look adorable and are delicious. Freshly baked and the service is very friendly. I love how brightly lit this place is. It's further out then most joints in the area, but it's literally such a quaint town, it's worth walking the extra two houses over to get some pastries. There's no seating available inside, and the shop is pretty small. Regardless, it's such a quaint bakery on the edge of the town.

We love Factory Girl and have ordered curbside pickup constantly during COVID shelter in place. We're super happy with the safe setup they have. And the baked goods are sooooo delicious. The Small Bites Box may be my favorite of everything we have tried so far--basically every bar in there is perfect. And it's so fun to have a variety of a bunch of different bars cut into bite size pieces. It's basically a perfect situation. We also love the cinnamon buns for weekend breakfast. My boyfriend loves the homemade pop tarts. I like that they try out interesting and new flavors, and that they have really seasonal offerings (like for example honeysuckle cream puffs in the middle of summer). Overall, big fans & our tour of their offerings has no end in sight.

Having Factory Girl-level sweet stuff just across the river in New Hope is one of the top 10 perks of living in Lambertville. She does vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, and ALL of it is great, just as good as the "regular" stuff. It's all off the charts scratch-made, seasonal (and I'm not even a sweets person) delicious. NYC good. That's why I was so happy she was able to make a magical little wedding cake for our teeny COVID wedding --rose rosè cake. I told her to decorate it however she would want a wedding cake to look. Couldn't have been happier. The 3 "guests" at our wedding were blown away at how delicious. Little details like this made our day so special. And LOOK AT IT!

We ordered from Alexis, the owner at the bakery, last September and my husband spoke to her over the phone, placed the order, and we picked it up with no issues. I reached out via their website 3 weeks ago to get 2 smash cakes, 24 cake pops, and 24 cupcakes for my son's 1st birthday (very simple order). She did not respond back for over a week and we went back and forth via email. I asked for a phone call to just sort the order out a few times and she refused. She just kept asking for me to fill out the order form...again....and again...and again. Her emails made absolutely no sense to find out that she uses ChatGPT which was why. She wasn't even responding to my emails as herself even when I told her how upset I was. I left her multiple voicemails and have still not heard from her...only ChatGPT. Now with the party being only a week away, I could not rely on Alexis as I can't even get ahold of her so found another option.

She took the time even though she was very busy to individually wrap the cupcakes and tie them with a bow in the cutest box. She also gave us instructions on how to defrost them since they were frozen for the night. When I finally got home and was able to enjoy the cupcake, it was one of the best treats I've had in a very long time! it was perfectly sweet and just the right size for a nighttime snack. The store itself is absolutely beautiful and a delicate surprise for the Doylestown area. I can't wait to go back and try some other wonderfully displayed desserts and have a freshly made espresso from their beautiful equipment. The store is very large with lots of parking, but I absolutely recommend bringing a friend to grab a coffee and a treat together. This would be a cute place to have a few people for a small girls birthday!

Aastha is always so willing to chat & Justin is always down to discuss my current home baking projects. I've been going once every week or every other week for over a year now & felt the need to finally write a review (I don't review much on here!). Today, I walked into the shop looking for my coveted Almond Croissant (amazing) and there were none to be had--Justin hadn't made them today because the plain & chocolate were selling well enough to not make any. This man, so wonderful, offered to make me an Almond Croissant. I felt bad, but he insisted & I came back in an hour & an half and he had it waiting for me. Now, THAT is truly caring about your customers. It was just what I needed after a rough week. Some of my favorite baked goods from the Bakeshop are (obviously) the Almond Croissant, the Country Loaf & Personal Loaf (same dough, different sizes), the Chocolate Chip Cookie (my boyfriend's favorite) & the Cheddar & Chive Danish. Notable mention: I tried the Pesto (homemade with walnuts) & Parmesan Babka today for the first time & oh my gosh, so good. Savory with a subtle hint of sweet. I've never had a savory babka & I'd been eyeing it up the past few weeks and boy am I glad I made the purchase. The vibe inside is cozy & rustic. Warmth radiates from the oven(s) & also the decor. Books for children, window seats to people watch, and a big booth to house a small group of people. All in all, come for the pastries & keep coming back for the customer service.

They ended up not enjoying it, so that's why there's some missing and none of us wanted to eat it anymore! Spoke to Suzi when picking up the cake and explained to her that the cake would not be eaten on the day of, but instead two days later. The cake was for September 1st and that happened to be Labor Day so I had to pick it up earlier! She said, "That's fine," and it can be stored in the fridge for up to a week and in the freezer for up to three months. So, not sure why there's a sense of judgement, cakes should be able to be stored for longer periods of time! And we wanted to order from a bakery specifically, since it was a special occasion. Not sure what your reference to a "squished" cake has to do with it food will accumulate residue in containers overtime! 9/12/25 From seeing professional pictures online of the beautiful cakes on Google Reviews of Suzi Cakes and good reviews on Yelp, I genuinely thought that the red velvet cake I ordered over the phone with Suzi would be amazing. Boy, was I wrong. I had to throw out the cake after 6 days because no one wanted to eat it anymore. We gave some part of the cake away to a relative, so we didn't consume much...not sure if they enjoyed it either. There were 'red' flags that I noticed when placing an order with Suzi. I chose to ignore them because I needed a nicely catered cake for my sister's birthday. Suzi sounded very direct over the phone and sometimes dismissive, so I felt that I needed to truly know and prepare for how I wanted my cake each time I called. I could not go in person to explain or show pictures due to the distance from her business in East Hanover. Suzi gave me the listed price of $90, and I personally thought it was overpriced for a 7-inch, single-tiered cake. I originally did not want to place with Suzi, but I could not find a place around me that would do a red velvet cake legitimately, besides Coco Luxe Cakes in Peapack and Gladstone. Coco Luxe discontinued their red velvet cakes, unfortunately, which is the cake I truly needed, hence why I ordered here. Next, trying to find the suite number and building for this place was a nightmare, another red flag. It's very tight behind some train tracks and very easy to miss. Thank goodness for advanced technology and Google Maps/Street View for helping me navigate. I called Suzi on the phone so she could service me at the front desk to get the cake. I picked up the cake and truly believed that I would make my sister's birthday special, and I planned everything perfectly. I stored the cake in the fridge for 2 days before eating and followed all of Suzi's storage directions. We tried the cake and it was awful. It had a fermented-like taste, and we could not eat it. I saw a similar review on Yelp of someone having Suzi make their cake for their wedding, and their wedding guests could not eat it; it was that bad. I was hoping that would not happen to me, but it did, surely. The icing was hard, dry, and chunky; the cake itself lacked flavor. I got a red velvet cake from ShopRite in July for $16.99, and it tasted way better; just the cake was a little dry. I called Suzi to give her some feedback so she knows. She informed me to come back so she could examine the taste, but at that point, we threw the cake out. $90 truly wasted. Can't really ask for a refund, I guess, because I never came back to her about it, because her location is almost an hour from my house...not sustainable for me. Despite the good reviews, I will never go to Suzi Cakes again. I will stick with another recommendation I got from a relative for Coco Luxe in Peapack if I want a professionally made cake from a bakery. My sister's birthday was ruined, and no one in my family liked the cake. The price for the cake was outrageous, and compared to other local bakeries in the area, the price does not justify the taste. The presentation of the cake is good, but the taste is abysmal. Save yourself, your palate, and your wallet by looking elsewhere!

I stumbled onto Suzi Cakes after having to pivot unexpectedly from a bad experience trying to order…read morefrom a local (new) bakery. Suzi Cakes could not have been nicer or more accommodating with just 2 weeks notice. The communication was so simple, professional, and pleasant. They delivered the cake exactly when they said (in the pouring rain) and even placed the topper and flowers on it before leaving! And then the cake itself...oh my yum! We did Vanilla with Oreo Mousse filling and it was DELICIOUS. The cake was so soft, fluffy, and flavorful. And the filling was awesome! I know I've found my new bakery for future events!!! Thank you Suzi Cakes!
