If I could give it a 0 star I would. DO NOT STAY HERE! The staff? Not all, just the ones working today 8/18/24 in the AM, coffee was empty for over an hour and the front desk staff was no where to be found, when they came back, they came back with a kid no older than 5 years old, and was tending to him rather than the guest. The rooms were filthy, we were told "we are remodeling" so that explains all the nasty dirt and hair in the corners of the room? The roaches all over the place? I know a lot of people in the hospitality business, not only will I reach out to them, I will be calling the health department to shut you down. Get better staff, the 2 girls here are rude and I promise you, with their attitude, your guest will not be back. read more

Worst one I've been in in the last few months of travels. Almost $40 more than others I've stayed in. Bathroom made me cry and if this hadn't been the only place with a vacancy, I would have left. I have a service dog. I went into the "breakfast" that was not even worth calling it that. The lady at the front came in and told he wasn't allowed in there. That is completely illegal as by law he is allowed anywhere. The lady the night before was kind. The lady this morning was not nice or respectful. I don't recommend due to the staff. While in Grants, NM I stayed at the Super 8 motel. I arrived to a super friendly and helpful staff. They showedme to my room- I admit I was not expecting much- upon entry I could see my room was recently remodeled with brand new hardwood floors and fresh paint. There was also what looked to be a brand new flat screen TV. I had a great nights sleep in the king bed in my room- This hotel clearly understood how important comfort is by putting several pillows on my bed. I also had a new refridgerator and outlets next to my bed to be able to charge my laptop and cell phone with. I enjoyed the morning breakfast and headed to my next destination. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We were in our room for about an hour or two, when my boyfriend found A BEDBUG running around the pillows. Our sleeping three year old was in the other bed (this was around 11 pm). My boyfriend went to the front desk and he did get a refund, but no comp days, nothing. So now, we get to re-pack our stuff and wake up our three year old to go stay in another hotel. Unbelievable. The lady at the front desk could not care less. The real kicker- when my boyfriend was waiting at the front desk to talk to her (with the bedbug pillow in hand), the guy behind him tells him hes checking out too because HE HAS BEDBUGS IN HIS ROOM. This is absolutely disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I have pics and videos! I wish it would let me post the video, because it is a much clearer, better picture of the bedbug. Vending and ice machines are out of order, pot holes in pavement, hot tub closed down, door lock broken, A/C broken, shower leaks, unfriendly and unhelpful staff. I highly recommend that your stay somewhere else! read more

Hands down one of the top 5 WORST lodging stays of my 58 yrs of life. Employees/Owners were rude, impatient and condescending. The room was a VERY OLD dump with antiquated/dirty furnishings. Fridge was loud and obnoxious, same with the AC unit. Doors slamming all over and walls were paper thin. The bathroom was very old and fixtures were rusted and the shower curtain stained yellow. Boot prints on the sheets. SUPER 8 my @ss, more like a TERRIBLE 4. Do not recommend. read more

Very nice clerk checked us in. We've been on a road trip camping at National Parks that have no showers, so it was nice to finally take a reeaaalllyyy long hot shower!! We even got to do our laundry, although beware you'll need to run your clothes through the dryer twice to get them to dry. Washer and dryer each cost $1.50 per load (quarters only) and a bottle of detergent for 6 loads is available for $2 at the front desk. Beds were comfortable, room was spacious, and we had a fridge and microwave. The continental breakfast would have been better with more variety, but it wasn't too shabby - cereal (raisin bran & frosted flakes), make-it-yourself waffle, toast, packaged oatmeal (3 flavors), apples, pre-packaged cinnamon buns, coffee, and Apple/orange juice. Wish it stayed available later; breakfast only available from 6-9 am and checkout is 11 am. The indoor pool & spa area was clean & clear. The spa was the perfect hot temperature, and my kids really enjoyed the heated pool. Never could get the free WiFi to work. read more

O.K. for the money , the sign said $449.95 but they insisted on charging me $59.95 in spite of the place being empty . The outlet was 20' from the desk so I couldn't plug up my computer and work . They allowed me to set up my lap top in the lobby in the morning , that was nice . Check in clerk was surly as was the clerk in the morning , everyone else was polite . CLEAN AND QUIET ! INDOOR SWIMMING POOL ! . My room had obviously been a smoker in the past (residual smell,burns in carpet) but was O.K. It no longer looks nice outside like thwe photo , a crappy red paint job that's chipping off every where . When we arrived, the lady there was very nice. We had to ask for towels. We were looking for a plug behind the night stand, and found used band aids The next morning, we looked all over for the iron and ironing Board, as they advertise that the rooms had them. We had to call down at the desk, and this rude guy answered. He said, yes I have some. Come and get them. I told him, I wasn't dress and if he can bring them. He did. The ironing board had no legs. He told me get on the floor to use it. Then, the iron leak water all over my clothes. Had him bring another iron. He took me to bring them back to the front desk when I was done. Well, no o e was there when we went to check out. Some lady told us to just leave the iron & ironing board on the front desk. Bad customer service. This hotel cost me 7,500.00 points from my Wyndham account. I will be asking for my points back. read more

Really nice staff, especially the maintenance man. The pool was great and all but it sucked that the hot tub wasn't operable right then but that happens. The maintenance man was there at the pool talking to us and he was extremely nice. He noticed my wife was a little cold and he apologized for the hot tub being broke down but he turned the heater up on the pool to make it more comfortable. The rooms were a little rough around the edges, old carpet (really old). The cleaning crew is the biggest problem here. Our bathroom was not clean AT ALL. Pubic hair was in the shower, the shower curtain had dirt on the inside and what looked like MAkE Up??? Not sure. The sheets looked clean though so I stayed. read more

This hotel will not leave me alone. First I get here and my room smells of smoke. It's non smoking but apparently the room next to mine is smoking so there is that. Then, I'm taking a bath and the phone rings. I've only been here 20 minutes and they are just calling to see if I like my room. Sure it's fine thanks. I've already driven 10 hours today. I sleep and hear knocking at the door. Ignore it thinking it can't be mine. It happens again so I get up to check and no one is there. Ok. Go back to sleep and they call AGAIN. Asking if maintenance fixed the phone. I said no I didn't call or ask for anything. I get they strive for good customer service but please. I'm exhausted and the staff will not stop bothering me. I'm just here to sleep and now I wished I had never stopped and just finished the last 6 hours of my drive. read more

Not too bad, although could have been better for price. The outside looks nice and renovated while the rooms could use major updating. Old TV's, the really loud fans in the bathroom. It said Wifi on the front side, yet the receptionist told us they didn't offer wifi! So we had a difficult time getting any connections. Breakfast is only 6-9, would be better if it was until 9:30 since checkout isn't until 11am. read more

This hotel was disgusting. The floor was not clean, there was a STAIN on the bed sheet. The bathroom was absolutely nasty, the paint on the walls was peeling off not cool at all. When I walked from the bed to the shower there was a layer of black shit on them. I don't recommend this hotel read more

The check in lady was friendly and polite. The room was very small and the beds were very uncomfortable. The tv would not come on. The breakfast was waffles, cereal, boiled eggs, and toast. There were just a couple of honey buns on the counter. It was close to the end of breakfast but I never saw a single staff member come in to check, refill, or clean up anything. I was not able to get a receipt with check out with the reason being because I booked the room through a third party though I have gotten one on each of our every night stays during our 8 day road trip, which were all booked through third party services. But that is fine I have it through Priceline, which I also have used during our trip. read more

I was going to stay here but as soon as I was giving her the money, she called us drunks just because of our ethnicity. She repeatedly called us very crude names and said the local people of Grants, NM are nothing but low lives. We were staying here because my mother is from out of town and needed a procedure at the nearby hospitol, and because of this situation we will no longer be doing business with this horrible facility. I booked thru a Booking agency for a 2 night stay with 3 children. when i arrived to check in it was late at night 2am to be exact. Due to car troubles and a 4 hour break down on trip. I arrived later then excepted, this being said I paid and spent the 2 nights when I went to check out they asked why I was checking out early. Confused by statement I looked at the booking they gave me which was 3 nights 1 kid? I told them when I arrived I was only had one Child instead of 3 and she said okay, I paid an extra 40 then was quoted by agency. Due to being there for a family members unexpected passing, and stress about the break down and drive in general I was not going to ask at that time I just wanted to get into the room and get some sleep and warm my id up since the heater also broke in the truck on the trip. I was never refunded the money by hotel because they would not return groupon or my calls and emails. I will not stay there again. There breakfast was not anything but cereal and only apple juice, coffee was horrible. pool was drained and not functional. for advertising in door pool being open. rooms all have outside entrances so you have to deal with loud people fighting driving walking pets. Shower had no Hot water and when brought up wit front desk they said to let it run 30 mins later still not hot. read more

My family and I called and made reservations because we were driving from Oklahoma to Arizona and decided to stop here like we always do! This was absolutely the worse visit ever! A fairly typical Super 8. My room kind of smelled like it may have been an old smoking room at some point, or was just funky, but it was not too bad and I got used to it. The room was clean, though somewhat dated. The rooms have Direct TV with several HBO channels, which was nice. Breakfast consisted of cereal, yogurt, juice, bread, and waffles. The breakfast room is pretty tiny, so it can be a bit crowed at times. The internet is a bit spotty and the password was changed during my stay without advance warning. Not too sure if that is a common occurrence at this hotel. All in all, this hotel is a good value for the money and I would stay here again if passing through Grants. read more

I thought this was a good hotel. For under 100 we got a suite that was huge! The pros outweigh the cons by far. Free breakfast, indoor pool the only complaint I have is that we got an ajoining room to someone else and could hear talking in the early morning. Still.... pretty great. read more

Horrible hotel and customer service! I would give it negative stars if that were an option. The hotel was out of soap AND shampoo. We were given wet towels so I'm not even sure if they were clean. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional in her attitude and appearance. One of our keys cards never worked and the other one stopped working during our stay. I didn't bother to ask for another one considering how rude the front desk was when I asked for dry towels (long ponytail and glasses, no name tag). This place adequately fit our needs and it was reasonable. What we liked the most is for $10 more, we could bring our cat in. She stayed in her cage but just the fact that they were pet friendly helped us a lot. The pool was too cold for me but the kiddos liked it. I stuck to the jacuzzi and it was nice. Walmart was right near the motel and that made my life easy to restock supplies for the rest of the trip home. read more

Very Rude and uncaring staff to all the guests !! I was awakened by all the dog barking in room 115 next to me at around 3:45 AM ! I called the front desk to let them know there was a problem and was told that one of the guests in that room had to go to the hospital. And the Dog was all alone and the tone from the employee was she really did not care. The Dog was barking so loud you could hear it half way down the hallway and It continued all night long and I did not sleep one bit . The Dog was still Barking when i checked out at around 8:30 AM. I asked for some adjustment on my bill when I was checking out and the woman did not want to hear about it and just walked off with out a bit of caring. I had over 500 miles to drive that day and was so exhausted . The next day I did see a credit for $30.00 on the room but now i did see the hotel did remove the credit after I emailed and said thanks and that I would remove the original review what I posted. I have stayed at this Super in Grants many of times but never again . My room was 117 and my stay 10/05/21. I am now forced to make a complaint with Wyndham and also my CC company. I still do not know why you would not separate the guests with pets from the others without esp when they charge extra . read more

This motel could use a refresh. The tub is worn out and looked very dirty. The side door to the hotel didn't require a key which seemed odd to me. The employees at checkin and checkout were pleasant. Good enough for the price but stayed at another Super 8 property the next night for less and the difference in properties isn't compare. Second hotel in OK was 1000 times nicer. read more

Good: easy I40 access, clean sheets, plenty of hot water (although you made to adjust several times during your shower), free wifi which was easy to log in to. Bad: plumbing fixtures are stained badly and in disrepair, smelly & worn out recliner in room, no elevator for 2nd floor guests, morning clerk was rude when asked to make more coffee for breakfast and rude to other guests requesting help with waffle maker (she never did help them). Ugly: aging property, needs updating, mold in bathroom, dingy overall but didn't see any bugs. Price was $67 for a king bed. I will opt for another location on on our next visit to Grants NM. read more

As far as Super 8 motels go, this one was pretty average. Clean but not spotless, comfortable but the rooms definitely need a refurbishment. The breakfast was lacking, but it served its purpose. There were multiple WiFi networks and they all had good speeds, but they aren't password protected so beware. read more
