Booked it based on proximity to Sequoia National Park. Checked in early evening and was surprised at cleanliness of this place. The room appears to have been newly renovated with new bedding, pillows, etc. Was in time to see the beautiful sunset from this property. The room was a good size, only thing old was the table and chairs, but it had a good fridge and microwave. It makes up for the lack of breakfast options. More on that later below. The next morning I was surprised at the lack of selection at breakfast. They had the following options. 1. Wheat or white sliced bread . 2. Shared jar of peanut butter. Yes, shared with everyone else at breakfast. I didn't bother taking my chances. 3. Single serve fruit jelly and butter packets. 4. Coffee, decaf or regular + creamer. 5. Hot water. 6. Orange juice from concentrate. 7. Packaged muffins, chocolate or poppy seed. I don't recommend it. So the next morning, I bought instant noodle and a can of sardines from the supermarket across the street. Clean hotel room was much more important than free breakfast. read more

Really nice pool, it's either heated or heated from the sun. It's pleasant to swim in. The rooms are spacious, yet dated. The room was clean and included a fridge, separate freezer compartment and microwave. The only down side was it smelled: Either old, musky, or old Smokey. It was hard to tell. Either way we got used to it and slept well. Breakfast was free: Orange juice, coffee, toast (Peanut butter, jelly, butter), muffins, whole apples, It shares a parking lot with a Mexican restaurant and its close to town. Gal at checkin was super nice. We were in the handicapped room so this review applies only to that room. I'm trying to remember the number...maybe 115? This hotel should be ashamed of the lack of electrical outlets by the bed in an ADA handicapped accessible ROOM. I had to pull the mattress off the box spring to get to the ONE outlet behind the bed. And it was full with 2 bedside light plugs. So I had to unplug both the lights to plug in my charger AND my husbands OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR! Basically that leaves a handicapped person without bedside lights! Yes I have a flashlight on my phone, but what if I had a flip phone and I'm in a wheelchair? And are all the rooms like this? If outlets are an issue you'd better ask before checking in! This NEEDS to be SIMPLY mediated by mounting small power strips on each side of the bed. I'm lucky I'm able to walk and lift and push a mattress out of the way. If I were in a wheelchair I'd have to call the front desk and wait for someone to come and plug my charging cord and oxygen machine in for me. IF MANAGEMENT WILL NOTIFY ME AND SEND ME PICS SHOWING THAT THIS HAS BEEN DONE I WILL GLADLY RAISE MY RATING AND REMOVE SOME OF MY PICTURES. And when that is done they can move the alarm clock back next to the bed instead of next to the refrigerator across the room! Seriously...a handicapped person has to use an alarm across the room because there is no free outlet next to the bed...this is crazy. There really isn't much to this room to make it ADA handicapped. It does have lowered closet hanging and handrails at the tub but it is not a roll in or walk in shower. A person must be able to step into a tub with the aid of the handrails. BREAKFAST waffles are frozen toaster waffles! Not fresh made on a hot waffle iron! They have a few packaged cinnamon buns and cereals and orange juice. I wouldn't pick this place for a great breakfast deal! The beds here are not yet the Wyndham Beautyrests that I have raved about at another location. I came here hoping...sadly no. NW family with small doggie are third stay here. Maids are the best ever manager that runs the place gets an A+ and handyman. All office people great, except Melissa she does not understand "I am in a hurry". Pulled up in early afternoon for road to turn off Hwy 65 south to new Casino. She Melissa dusting lobby then told me just one minute and started on another coffee table. Asked her again to help me at desk look road I needed for a right turn 13 miles away. She answered yes then ran past me to answer phone to help anyone but me, I could not believe after 5 nights staying at Super 8 Motel and two more nights before leaving. I moved forward in Melissa's view and motioned hello. She did not stop talking and talking on phone. She was still talking on phone when I walked back in lobby. The maid down the hall knew the way to Eagle Mt. Casino I said. Then left the motel I was one-hour late, Melissa was busy, busy girl. Hwy 65 turn right on W. We came here last minute for Valentine's weekend since all other hotels near sequoia were booked. We were hesitant since other reviews rated poorly. We checked in right away, receptionist was friendly BUT wasn't wearing a mask. Got to our room, room was clean, sheets were clean, no foul odor. Restroom, they only provide one roll of toilet paper (we were a party of 5). The shower was low. Built for people on the shorter side. I'm 5'8 and the shower head was about shoulder length so I had to bow/squat when wetting my hair lol. Overall good experience though. Wouldn't mind staying here again. There's a seafood restaurant right across the parking lot, a Burger King in the corner. Across the street there's a gas station, McDonald's, Starbucks, Taco Bell, dollar tree, etc. read more

Wishing I'd stayed anywhere else! My standards were low coming to stay at the super 8 but I didn't know how low they would need to go! First off it's way overpriced for what you get. Let me tell what you can expect. So there is a bed that will kill your back! But don't worry you won't get any sleep anyway because you can hear everything outside! Do you want ice? Nope it's broken . The room has two small towels, one wash cloth, two small hand towels. Do you want an extra towel ? Nope you can NOT have an extra towels because there is a limit! Will there be Toiletries in the room? One role of TP, shower gel and shampoo in a wall dispenser nothing else. The carpet was soooo sticky my shoes stuck to it ( do not walk barefoot) and the chairs are so disgusting we covered them with the pool towels we begged for. The TV in the room...broken but couldn't call the front desk because the phone was broken too! Oh and they are not following COVID regulation for their breakfast. The food is open and set out buffet style which is currently against food safety standards. So no on the food! The employees were friendly and polite but were limited by the hotel in what they were allowed to offer. But the only saving grace was even though it was 100 degrees outside the AC in the room worked really well!! But... I won't be back ever! read more

I have stayed in here many times. Growing up when visiting Lindsay my whole family always would stay here, never had a thing to complain about. UNTIL NOW!!!!! We stayed there for three days two nights first night was horrible. The guest next to us were having a party and got drunk at around 1am I hear people screaming outside (you broke it you have to pay for it). I get alarmed thinking great did someone hit our car. I peak out the window discreetly I see two of the employees arguing with the next door guest. The hotel lady comes to my room and asked if we seen what had happened cause the guest broke the window from their room. Great now she involve us in these incident, there is drunk people next to us who are being extremely loud. We are two woman and 2 babies in the room. At this point of our night we are very alarm not able to get some sleep. When we checked out i kindly asked the front desk if we could get a courtesy night or discount for that horrible night. She got defensive with me stating they have no control of what their guest do and that they have cameras so she didn't understand why i felt unsafe. (lady your guest were drunk and broke a window, how am i supposed to feel safe when you allowed them to stay throughout the night after damaging your property). She had the audacity to say that they couldn't tell them to go cause they paid their stay and that they were not causing me any harm to my room. I PAID MY STAY AS WELL I DESERVE TO FEEL SAFE WITH MY KIDS AND YES THEY WERE CAUSING US TO FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE THE NEXT MORNING EVERY TIME WE WOULD GO OUT OUR ROOM THEY WOULD PEEK AT THE WINDOW AND STARE AT US CREEPY. This is a great place! We used the Super 8 as a base for exploring Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. The room was bigger than my first apartment! I think it could hold 4 people easily. For two, it was a luxury! Everything was clean, new and in great shape, loved the D-shaped shower curtain. The room was well lit and we loved that the mirrors made us look much thinner. Free Wi-Fi too! What more could you want? The staff was nothing but courteous, kind and thoughtful. The continental breakfast was much better than average. The waffles were tasty. I recomended this place. The front hostess was very helpful and kind. Room was clean and a/c was cold. The beds were comfortable and pillows were soft. The tv was outdated bug it does the job, cartoon network is in the 30s i think for those that have kids. Rooms were very clean, the area feels safe, close to GAS, FOOD, and MARKET. The downtown area (half mile east of 65) is older and really cute, too. The first room they gave me smelled like urine. I asked for another, they gave it no questions asked. I checked the beds. The sheets were clean and fresh. They promptly gave more shampoo and towels upon request. The location had highway traffic noise but the AC drowned it out. I actually had a good nights sleep. This hotel is disgusting!! I was given a free room for going to visit a manufacturer of Tiny Homes and it was not worth the free room. This place is GROSS AND DIRTY! The beds were old and lumpy, furniture was dirty and even the front desk lobby area was gross and dirty! Outlets are not up to code and TV's and remotes are outdated! Not only was this place gross and in a seedy neighborhood, the front desk clerk Nora shouldnt be working there. I left a Yeti drinking bottle there and I called about an hour after checkout to say I'd send a self addressed stamped envelope to mail back to me. She admitted she had it at the front desk and said she would send it. Guess what? a month later I still dont have it. I called the night clerk lady and she said well I doubt we want your cup...smh......so rude! Guess what lady and Nora?? My box has a tracking number on it and SURPRISE!! Its still in Linday, Ca. So enjoy my cup you obviously need it more than me. Will never stay here again. First, they put us in a smoking room when we asked for a non smoking room. Did they give us a different room? Nope. Did they give us even a partial refund? Nope. So after airing out the room, we go turn on the tv. Guess what?? Half the channels don't work!! So we told the woman at the front desk and she says "I'll check right into it" 6 hours later, tv still doesn't work. This place cares about 1 thing. Had problems with not having hot water and the front office manager did not follow up with the problem. We left the room without showering. The breakfast was the typical motel breakfast. Hard boiled eggs, toast waffles, etc. I've had better motel breakfasts. The wifi was off and we didn't get wifi the whole morning up until we left. For the price we paid it was a waste of money. We paid $93 and we got only a $20 refund for all the inconveniences. Really? The service at the front desk was pretty disorganized too. It's a shame. Do not recommend. read more

I really like this motel. It's inexpensive and you get a decent place to sleep. Remember, this is a motel not the lap of luxury! Yet it is easily the best value for a quality night's sleep in the entire area. I've stayed at the Motel 6 in Porterville... horrible. And the Best Western in Porterville... waaaaay too much money for a place to sleep (sure its granite countertops are nice, but spending a $100 a night sure makes it harder for me to sleep!) The staff at the Super 8 Lindsay are friendly, warm, and conscientious. As we checked out after our recent 3-night stay (for Thanksgiving weekend), the front desk staff warned us about a coming storm & possible difficult road conditions. If you're visiting Porterville, Lindsay, Three Rivers, Tulare, Visalia, or one of the tiny towns in between, you gotta check this place out. This motel has been my home base for local herding dog trials for over ten years, before it became a Super 8. I have come to depend upon it for a good, quiet night's stay. I do not feel unsafe here, traveling alone with my dogs and it provides plenty of areas to walk and potty the dogs as well. Across the street is a plethora of fast food, coffee, grocery, auto supply stores, a laundromat, doughnut shop, pizza place--plenty to supply a quick meal or forgotten item from home. Front desk staff is outstandingly nice--Trish and Nora are sweet ladies who provide smiles and help when needed. Beds are comfortable, rooms are kept clean, bedding and towels are fresh and although the motel may have an occasional worn carpet or non-functioning refrigerator, it's nothing that won't be attended to. Grounds and landscaping are neat and kept picked up, even in our drought conditions. Lighting around the motel is very good at night. I do not feel worried about a late-night dog potty run--can't say that about some of the places I've stayed while attending competitions. For one night or more, this is a good motel and a good value for visitors in the area. read more

I've stayed at this hotel on two occasions. The first time I had to leave a day early and it was a prepaid reservation. The manager very kindly gave me a credit for one night. I came again recently with my family and they honored the credit. The staff are real nice and attentive. It's great that they have a pool and hot tub. It's a little ways from Sequoia National Park, but it's worth it if you're on a budget. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider staying again! read more
