Clean room, spacious, nice breakfast. Stayed for one night, so far so good. good location, 50 minutes drive to Sequoia National Park.

The Hampton Inn is conveniently located near Highway 198, making it an ideal stopover for travelers heading to Three Rivers and Sequoia National Park. It also means that you will be hearing semis on the highway all night long. Beware to the light sleepers. It's also close to several dining options and shopping centers, including a few late night fast food options if you are getting in after hours. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the front desk staff being courteous and helpful. The escalator was buggy on my visit. Apparently you needed to jam your fist into the button to make it work. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable and the room included all the standards like a good sized mini-fridge, a microwave and coffee maker. The The hotel offers a range of facilities, including a fitness center, pool that is open until 10 p.m. and business center. The complimentary breakfast was nice. It featured a good variety of options, from hot items like eggs and waffles to lighter choices like yogurt and fruit. The dining area was clean and regularly stocked. Overall, a good choice for travelers and families.

No sleeve (aka "collar") means there is no friction to hold it in place. It will spray left or right, but not down the middle.

Email from Hotels.com said, "We spoke with Hampton Inn Visalia, and unfortunately, they denied a refund in this situation." Unbelievable. I called Hotels.com and escalated to a manager who was able to contact Hampton Inn who finally agreed to issue a refund. I only had to ask six times, and they did what should have been done the first time I asked, with an apology. Hotels.com also gave me $50 key credit. In the future, I will ask to see the room and test the shower before check-in or payment.

Found a bug in the bed. Took a while to check in. Been here lots of times because it's the only hotel in this town. Pool is kinda gross. Everything else is mostly good,

They seal the room after it's been thoroughly cleaned, a nice reassuring touch

Gave away one of our rooms because we arrived at 9:30pm. Hope the couple that needed a double queen room are happy.

The rooms are always clean, the Elderwood is an ice touch, and the vibe is always fun. During this trip, all was fine when what sounded like the HVAC system above our room started to knock. It's an old historic building so, things happen. The knocking though quickly turned into a roar. We contacted the front desk and this is where the true professionalism of the hotel crew, and particularly Maria, shined through. Maria quickly came upstairs, assessed the situation, triaged with other teams inside the hotel, and identified a solution within 20 minutes. Given the scope of the repair was unclear at the time, she moved us to another room and even upgraded us (even though she didn't have to!) for the inconvenience. Things happen, that's not an issue for us, it's how the team addresses them when they come up. The Darling team rose to the occasion with flying colors so seamlessly in this situation, especially Maria. So for us, just underscores a series of positive experiences at the hotel. This isn't an ultra luxury 5-star hotel, so don't come here expecting that. But it's a great place to stay in Visalia with a premium, boutique vibe, great restaurant, and clean well apportioned rooms. We will be back.

Room service was good quality, appropriately priced and arrived quickly. The only reason I couldn't give this 5 stars was there was no internal secondary lock on the door which made it feel a little unsafe as a solo traveler and also there were not clear instructions about how to enter the gated parking lot upon checking in. Otherwise I had a good stay and would consider visiting again just to eat at the restaurant.

The shower situation didn't help. The tub spout simultaneously pours out more water than the showerhead, so while you're trying to shower, the tub starts filling up due to a slow/clogged drain. Check-in was quick and friendly, which I appreciated. However, we were given incorrect information about the nearest EV supercharger. There are two chargers in the parking lot, but they're extremely slow. If they're occupied in the evening, expect those cars to sit there overnight because they'll just be left there. Let's call it the overnight special. UPDATE NEXT MORNING: "Lead foot" upstairs kept going well past midnight, then started up again around 6am. We were getting up anyway, but still. Lesson learned: request the top floor if you stay here. On the plus side, the continental breakfast was decent. Standard options (eggs and sausage) plus a few extras like a pancake maker, warm cinnamon rolls, and biscuits and gravy. Also nice choices for folks on the go, oatmeal packets, Chobani yogurts, hard boiled eggs, etc. Also worth noting, the Tesla destination chargers are free, which is a great perk if you can grab one. The fitness room was well equipped with treadmills, an elliptical, rowing machine, weight benches, and dumbbells. There's also a water refill station in there, which is convenient if you have a bottle with you. Would we stay here again? Sure... just on the top floor next time. 3.5 Stars.

We stayed 3 nights here for our hiking trip and the hotel looked nice on the outside. However, there were some things that could be changed 1. The elevator: It was very slow and we had to wait for a while to get to our floor. 2. Smells: There was weird smells coming from the hallways and the elevator. I also smelled weed in the lobby as well which was not pleasant. 3. Roach: YES! I saw a cockroach in my bathroom. It was a tiny one and I managed to kill it and flush it down but beware of them if you stay here. 4. Breakfast: Free breaksfast was nice but alot of my friends stomachs were not happy afterwards! Alot of their food is very mid and not the best quality. 5. Beds: The pillows were like bricks, my friend had a hard time sleeping on them. My other friends also faced stains on the bedsheets, making me question if I also slept on dirty sheets too. 6. Orange water: The lemon water in the lobby was solid. If there was one highlight, it would be that. 7. One water fountain: Finally, there was only ONE water fountain on floor three and not even on the bottom level. There wasnt even water in the free breakfast. I feel like that should be the bare minimum!
