It's not next to Turning Stone, in fact it's 5 miles away in town. All good, but be aware of proximity if that matters to you. Smoking allowed. Terrible sleeping as a result. Non smoking rooms should all be in one area and smoking another if you must have smoking. I didn't know know you could smoke in any hotel in NYS so this didn't cross my mind when I made reservation. BEWARE. there are plenty of smokers here. My room probably has been non smoking for ages, but it doesn't matter from the minute I went there it smelled like smoke. This is an old hotel that's been revamped a little. Flat screen tv. Pretty comfortable beds and pillows. Good blackout curtains. I didn't find it too noisey, but I could hear a lot from the rooms as I walked past some. My checkin was cursory at best. But that's fine. Most people staying here seemed to be people staying for a week for work - mostly construction. Rooms have large fridges for a hotel room. And coffee makers. I think microwaves too. It's near a Dunkin. Always good. I found this expensive for what you get. Mostly because of the totally overpowering smoke smell. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. First of all, it STINKS of cigarette smoke...the lobby, the halls, even the parking lot! Our non-smoking room smelled like smoke every time we turned on the fan or the air conditioner. The mattresses smelled of smoke. Secondly, the TV doesn't work. Not just the remote...the whole TV. Thirdly, the air conditioner was unplugged and the plug looked like it had shorted out. And 4th, no coffee maker in the room, no plastic cups in bathroom to use when brushing teeth. We had tried to book at the LaQuinta, but they were full, so they referred us here, saying it was a good hotel. Wrong! I advise everyone to avoid it. read more

The worst motel ever, heavy smoke of marijuana by employees and an over all bad experience. We had pets and paid extra, for only to have them exposed to an overwhelming odor of marijuana.. Shame on you Super 8. read more

Staff walks around without masks on. The whole place is infested with bedbugs. When you spend $100 on a room you expected to be subpar but you don't expect to not be able to sleep at all. Whole entire hotel is dirty. Pictures are very deceiving and everything is unclean. Headboard was falling out of the wall. The smoke detectors are screeching and instead of changing the batteries, they just remove them. Big holes in the middle of the bed. Then when you arrive the lawn and outside the hotel is literally full of trash. Please read the reviews before you book and don't end up staying here like we did. Save your money please go elsewhere! We stayed in room 208 and they ended up moving us to 108. The boxspring in room 208 wasn't even covered and you could clearly see the black dots left from the bed bugs on it. Room 108 was cleaner but still pretty disgusting. read more

I will never, I repeat, NEVER stay here again. When I first got there, it didn't look terrible. The desk attendant was friendly, switched out room for us because we didn't want the one right next to the lobby. However, when we got into our new room, it was absolutely filthy. Pubic hair on almost every surface, I had to check for bed bugs, thankfully there were none. There were burn holes in the duvet cover on our bed (non smoking room), stains on all of the towels. Something that looked like some sort of chunky/bloody matter on the baseboard of the bathroom floor. I also absolutely did not feel safe walking the halls alone, as there were parties of less than reputable characters drinking and partying in the hall. The hall itself smelled of human piss, it was all around a very unpleasant experience. If I had been able to get my money back, I totally would have. I had to get myself drunk to sleep in the bed. Disgusting! My son stayed here with his dad this past weekend and came home eaten by bedbugs.. This property should be ashamed of themselves. The toilet was leaking and the room was disgusting. This is true that you get what you pay for . We actually got more considering we had to heat treat all of their items to kill any that may have traveled with them. BEWARE!!! read more

Toilet not anchored to floor. Every time my wife or I sat down, the back of toilet would lift off the floor and then bang it when getting up. The hair dryer unit came out of wall. Also, the bathroom light switch was faulty...not something you want anywhere, but especially in a bathroom. Phone cord was not attached. When I attached it, phone still did not work. The maintenance guy says "I told the owner about the toilet, but it was still not fixed." The smell in the hallway was smoke, vomit and Glade roses............ disgusting. This was not the first time I stayed there. I had been 2 years ago and it was fine. We were on a tight schedule from arrival due to commencement activities for a graduation. We had no time to unpack or even find a new hotel. We ended up leaving a day early and driving 12 hours back home on little sleep. We just couldn't take another day in this hole. Smoking should be banned in all hotels. Just one cigarette can destroy a hotel. The hotel refused a refund for one day and said it was the responsibility of Travelocity. Travelocity has not gotten back to us at the time of this posting... that was 2 days ago. I would say you get what you pay for, but with it being graduation, prices usually get jacked up. OK so the wife and I were taking our daily trip to TS ( Turning stone casino) and needed a room for the night. Normally we stay at Mirotel right next store to TS but all the king rooms were booked. So after surfing the net for close hotels I fell upon this place. They were 4 miles away from TS and the room rate was very reasonable, plus they had king rooms still available. So I figured what the hell, how bad can it really be? Upon arriving into the town of Oneida we notice a bunch of places where we could grab a bite to eat. That was a plus because the casino can be pricey. We were greeted by a girl at the front desk and ask all the normal questions. She informed me that their rates went down and the original person that booked our room didn't give us the lower/newer rate, so that was cool. Also the girl at the front desk gave us suggestions on where we should go eat dinner, I love that because #1 I am not familiar in the area and #2 that is what a hotel is suppose to do. I also book a NON smoking room, being a "reformed smoker" ( quit 1yr and 1/2 ago) I now hate the smell of cigarettes. The room was nice the initial time we walked into it but as the night progressed it started to smell like smoke. It woke me out of a sound sleep at 4:30 in the morning, resulting in us leaving early and not relaxing and taking full advantage of the room we paid for. I explain this situation to the gentlemen as I was checking out but he seemed to not care, just saying that's how the hotel has the rooms. It didn't surpise me as I was walking out he was outside smoking a cig, figures... Well Super 8, IT ISN'T WORKING! you have 2 floors, put all the non smoking room on the bottom floor and all the nasty smoking rooms on the second floor. Smoke rises geniuses!, doesn't take a rocket science to figure that out! The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because of the nice lady at the front desk. read more

Worst experience ever! Had neighbors that would run back and forth across the hall all night and smelling their doors. Front desk never did anything about it and couldn't move us. Their breakfast was bagels, bread and cereal. Loud neighbors would talk loudly in the hall all night... Beyond aggravated! Bathroom floor had hair all over it. read more
