He booked us in cottage 32 with an amazing view of the lake and a front and back patio. The back patio faces Harpoon Eddie's and both nights we sat on the balcony and listened to the bands play. The cottage was extremely clean and provided clean linens and towels. This two bedroom, one bath, full kitchen, and living room area were perfect! We were about 20 feet from the beach and enjoyed all of the picnic tables and lounge chairs provided by the cottage. There are also grills available if you would like to pickup groceries from the store down the road and enjoy a cookout. We will definitely be back again! I highly recommend this place if you're in the area and want a beautiful beachfront view!

We got a king suite with a separate kitchen and sitting area, as we were not leaving our room much due to surgery. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable and there were a lot of pillows. You could have parked a Buick in the bathroom! We ended up being done with our medical appointments two day early. They were unable To refund our room (which they were not obligated to do anyway) but willingly gave us one free nights stay voucher. How wonderful is that! So accommodating and nice. The two staff ladies at the desk were so kind to us. This hotel has a "wall of fame" where you can see a few of the stars who have stayed there. It's in the heart of a city circle area where there are some shops and restaurants to walk to. Again, we were only able to leave for a bit (for our sanity) but it's location was perfect for a walk. We will definitely be back!

We found one that only charged us ten bucks for the night. We were in town for a concert at the Landmark, which is literally across the street. After the concert ended, we were back in our hotel room in about five minutes. There are also tons of great bars and restaurants all within a few blocks. Our room was clean and spacious enough for two people, and the bathroom was roomy and clean.

Our biggest disappointment was that they were out of both Heady Topper and Focal Banger despite having them listed on the menu. We understand those beers are difficult to keep in stock and tend to sell out, but their availability was actually one of the reasons we chose to come here for dinner. If they're regularly unavailable, it might make more sense to list them as a rotating or availability dependent offering rather than a standard menu item. Only 30 minutes from Syracuse but a world away in relaxation. Set on 850 acres we never saw another person we were able to hike in the woods, beautiful views of the lake and sit by the fire and enjoy some great conversation. Both places were fully renovated with top of the line fixtures while still keeping an old world charm. We are looking forward to trying the rest of the lodging options on our return visits. Quality: Had a truly wonderful experience at Vanderkamp. Surprised this secret is not out yet, as they seemed to think of everything. We stayed at their Langston Cottage, which was made for couples. A large indoor fireplace, a reading nook, and a soaking tub as the main features. More isolated than the other cabins, it felt like we were on our own in a winter wonderland. Despite the snow, we still managed to do quite a bit of hiking, and enjoy the silence of nature. Quantity: Huge property to explore. Value: Prices vary by timeframe and the trails are only for guests. Ambiance: Vanderkamp is a large private retreat area in upstate New York. Formerly a more traditional campsite, they have begun to renovate the cabins to provide for a luxury vacation experience. There are only four in-use cabins on the massive property. Miles of trails, a large lake with canoes available, and a small store provide all the fun and activities you need to never leave the property. Each cabin is designed for a different number of people and vacation, from couples to families to wedding parties. Crowd: Love the isolated feel, only saw one other guest during our stay. Service: While some of the trails could have used a bit more markings, it was part of the fun of exploring. Cabins were impeccable and well-maintained. Parking: Plenty of parking at each cabin and at the main center.

There is no air conditioning in the bedroom, the small living room had a floor air conditioner. The sofa in the bedroom has no lighting. The closet is a crawl space with few hangars. The tub retained water and one stood in inches of water while taking a shower. Will not return.
