This is a dangerous place, and I do not recommend it to anyone. In fact, I was told that parolees get housed here. We had family from Maui book a room here. It was Memorial Day + BottleRock weekend. They had a difficult time finding an affordable room, so they landed here not knowing the city or the neighborhood. Needless to say, it didn't take them long to discover this was a bad place. Their room was old, filthy, and wreaked of strong weed. The chair in the room looked like it had a blood stain. Luckily, we were able to accommodate them at our house so they didn't have to endure this place. Basically, their lives were saved - kidding, but not kidding! Recently dumpsters have been brought in and rooms gutted, everything is being tossed including all the mattresses and furniture. This place was horrifying. It was filthy. The hallways stunk like stale. Beer cigarettes was filthy. The room had no mirror no TV control somebody glued shut the air conditioning vent so it couldn't be used. Somebody jumped over the balcony to try to get into my room. the cockroaches were so bad that if you turn the light off and turned it right back on, you would see over 100 of them on the ground. I've stayed at this motel yearly for the past 5 years, with the exception of last year due to COVID. The motel had been refurbed just prior to my first visit and looked very nice for what it is. All still seemed nice in subsequent years until this year. I manage an annual sailboat race from San Francisco to Vallejo each year. By the time I get in it's after 9:00pm. At that point, after being on the water all day, all I want is a hot shower and go to bed. The first room they gave me, #221, was disgustingly dirty. Not just not cleaned from the previous customer, I mean filthy. Look at the pics. The second room, #216, was cleaner, but still had mold in the tub, the drawer pulls were missing from all the drawers and had scratch and chip marks all over the walls. At that point I didn't care, I wanted a hot shower. Well guess what? I never got a hot shower because the shower mixer was broken and all I could get was cold water. At this point I gave up, took the cold shower and went to bed. The next day I immediately sent a complaint to Wyndham, which gave me a VERY INSINCERE AUTOREPLY, stating I'd be contacted within 10 days. Nope. Send another email and still nothing. It's bad enough that the motel sucked (and I will never return), but what really gets me is that Wyndham doesn't care. As such, I'm obligated to post this review, not only here, but on Hotels.com, Trip Advisor and any other place I can do so, not just condemning Super 8, but also the entire Wyndham organization for no follow through. This hotel is not deserve One Star . This place is dangerous and the people staying at this hotel are extremely scary. There was fighting (verbal and physical) upon my arrival to this place at 2:30 pm on a Friday . The room was not ready so we waited until after the check-in time of 3pm. The maid was still cleaning even though the clerk had given me the room key. After attending an event I went back to the hotel (around 11:30pm) that I had not been able to get into earlier ,only to have my key not work therefore unable to enter . My fiancé went downstairs to get a new key. When he came back we were able to enter . It was immediately obvious someone had been in our room after the maid left. The balcony door was unlocked and open. The bed had been laid on , there was a boot print in the comforter, there was urine in the toilet , food on top of the refrigerator , trash in the trash bin and the bathroom door was kicked in. At this point my fiancé ( a law enforcement officer) and I decided leave ! I spoke with the clerk on duty explained my to had been entered and the state it was in. The room was not safe nor did I feel safe staying . I requested my money back and he gave the lame excuse that he could not refund my money . Screechy people were hovering in and around the lobby . My fiancé and I left immediately . I did contact Expedia to request a refund and was told the hotel has to issue the refund . Expedia called the hotel and the clerk did not pick up . I called only to have the rings turn into busy signals . Shame of Wyndham for putting there branding on the property and shame on Expedia.com for having this dangerous and unsafe property shown for booking . I failed to mention there were 3 Police vehicles in the hotel parking lot when we returned at 11:30pm . As the officers watched a group of individuals visibly disheveled, upset and behaving oddly leave the hotel parking lot. As I walked inside the hotel I saw what Looked like a prostitution ring (interesting ladies and one male). As I walked to my room a male was drinking and smoking on the stairway--the elevator was broken. As I settled into my room I noticed dirty towels, sink with some mucus left. As I slept, the guest next door started screaming and slamming each other against the walls. Had it not been so late I would have left and slept in my car. I got a room with my mom and little brother and this was a horrible experience. The second we walked in it smelled horribly like cigarettes, the customer service wasn't horrible but we had requested an early check in and she said the room wasn't ready. We were annoyed but not super upset, she walked away and when she came back she gave us a room key. We were on the second floor and she had told us to use the elevator, we went and grabbed our things from the car and when we got all the way in the elevator was broken. So we used the stairs, the second floor smelt worse and it was really dirty, when we walked in the room we notice it wasn't cleaned. There was little bits of trash on the floor and when we lifted the blankets we saw dirt and hair. We also heard a woman screaming for her son in the room right next to us. We decide that this place is disgusting and we didn't feel like we could sleep in the beds and also that my brother wouldn't be safe here, we grabbed our stuff to head downstairs and get a refund to leave. We informed the woman at the desk that the room was dirty and that there was a woman screaming for her kid, we found out that the woman that was screaming was someone who was working there. read more

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS, I WOULD! Me and my mom were planning a weekend stay in Vallejo because we're visiting my auntie who's currently hospitalized at Kaiser. We reserved a place here at Super 8. Despite the bad ratings, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. At the time of our arrival, the manager was standing outside with his friend and walked in behind us. All over the front counter, there were papers taped saying: "Sold Out for Tonight." I thought, wow! Must be a popular place to stay. I then saw a stack of cancellation papers on the table. He spoke to us and expressed his apologies that he had to cancel our reservation due to some company override. I didn't even get an email or phone call hours prior to my arrival. We're from SoCal, Anaheim area - DO YOU KNOW HOW FAR OF A DRIVE THAT IS? What would've been better than sending us off to another Super 8 that costs +$50 for our stay is COMPENSATING. He then said "I didn't see your phone number or email on the reservation." That's BS, because what's a reservation without contact information? Get real. We're in 2022 and you think that's relevant to respond with? NEVER AGAIN WILL I SET FOOT HERE. ALSO, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO RESERVE A PLACE TO STAY HERE. If you can help it, DO NOT stay at this hotel. The desk Mgr when he was around was hanging out on the patio smoking weed with the thugs in the parking lot while allowing them to deal their drugs. There was no clock in the room, and no smoke detector in the room. A coffee maker with no cups, and a fridge, but no microwave. There is no wi-fi and no breakfast as they advertised. Elevator didn't work half the time and I almost got stuck in it a few times. When I called to complain that someone had been in my room while I was gone, they said it was housekeeping, but I don't believe housekeeping left a dirty sweatshirt on my floor. This place needs an inspection ASAP. It should have been shut down a long time ago. I can definitely say it is the worst place I have ever stayed. There were stains EVERYWHERE, including the toilet and full pieces of food in the vents of the air conditioner. The door to the patio had absolutely no lock or bolt, just a hole in the door where those should have been; there was absolutely no way of keeping this door closed unless you tied it shut to the nearby table. It reeks of cigarettes, among other things. The parking lot was full of questionable activity. I don't believe my standards are that high, but geez, this place was really shockingly horrible. DO NOT STAY HERE especially with a family! Worst experience at a motel EVER!!! This place is a hub for drug dealers and prostitutes! We witnessed a drug deal in the parking lot in broad daylight and then all night the room opposite us were going in and out doing drugs. And we saw hookers visiting the rooms too. That is not the only reason for this bad review. The hotel owners obviously don't care much for cleanliness or comfort for the guests either. We had basically no towels in the room to begin with. The housekeeper said they literally had no more towels but eventually she found 2 bath towels and one hand towel for our family of four. The bathtub was nasty and had a bunch if hair in it. There was a cigarette burn hole on the sheets. There were no trash cans in the room and no toilet paper. We were given one roll when asked. The motel itself is right off the highway and so was extremely noisy all night. We were given a room on the 3rd floor and the elevator was broken. The complimentary breakfast was a joke. The juice machine was broken, there was no creamer for the nasty coffee. There was only one choice of cereal - Raisin Bran (not a popular choice), some yoplait yogurt but only raspberry flavored, and about one dozen old, rotting apples. The only redeeming part was the waffle maker. We checked out early after a stoned person kept knocking and trying to enter our room. Upon checkout we complained to the guys at the desk that we had a bad experience but they just shruughed it off saying they just work here and are not the owners. When I first booked this hotel, the pictures online looked great for the price. However that was not the case when we arrived. When we arrived , the parking lot had broken down cars , trash everywhere , and looked run down. After checking in , we were given room 308. The elevator was broken , and we had to take the stairs. The hallways smelled of weed and smoke , which was ironic because this was supposed to be a "smoke free hotel". Our room 308 smelled like cigarettes the second we entered. The carpets were stained badly , and the bed sheets had questionable stains. I am a branch 2 certified pest control field technician and I can tell you there was questionable evidence on the sheets and curtains that may well be bed bug feces. The bathroom had broken features. The balcony next door had a broken window and glass everywhere. There was no way I was going to have my family stay here. We immediately requested a full refund, which was honored. We decided to book the Clarion in concord which was about 12 mins south. For just a few dollars more, you get outstanding service , clean rooms and a safe experience. To sum it up, Super 8 hotel in Vallejo is not a place to bring your family. read more

Very pleasant staff. Hallway clean and very quiet once inside. Outside will probably get a little loud, but it's expected since the freeway is very close by. Secured by a way way in/out via the front lobby to help prevent riff riff I guess. But they have balconies so that's another out I guess if pushed comes to shove on leaving discreetly. Light have outlets which is convenient. One improvement would be to install them also in the desks which is SUPER easy to do. Otherwise people have to crawl under the table. No fun huh? I would recommend this place. It's better I heard than six months ago. So hopefully their ratings will go up. I based my opinions on trial an error and not others ratings on yelp. But I'm not as picky either. I always bring cleaning supplies just in case it's bad or dirty. I don't think I'll need it this time. It's very pleasant here. read more

Well, you never forget this motel is right off the highway...it pretty much sounds like the Indy 500 for most of the night, even with earplugs. We also heard some bangs which we weren't sure were gunshots or car backfire. Inside, you could hear lots of doors banging & loud talking. The room itself is quite large. Unfortunately, it is also in below average condition...ripped bed skirt, paint scraped off the walls, dirty carpet, sticky tile floor, no hair dryer. The shower worked well although the shower curtain seemed too small. I checked under the mattress & there were used tissues in there. The front desk staff were friendly enough. Stayed there last night, as I had a ballgame to go to in San Fran (Go Giants!). After my last Super 8 stay, which was in Sacramento, I told myself no more. However, Travelocity, Trip Advisor, Hotels, and Expedia all had decent ratings, so figured I'd give this location a shot. First impression, outside looks okay, nothing fancy, nothing run down. Went in, check-in process smooth. Got to the elevator, which was dirty, had garbage and a wad of chewed up gum in it. Whatev, no biggie. Got to the room, which on first glance, looked nice. I love the blue tint photo of the Golden Gate Bridge above the bed! Beautiful shot! Looked around a little, cleanliness not bad, took a gander out the window and saw that they had a pool, which was filled in with dirt. Um, if you guys decide you don't want the pool anymore, why not actually put a little money into and take it out or completely seal it by paving over it and decorating what could've been a courtyard? Looked tacky as can be the way they did it! Went to wash my hands and while dripping wet, looked around for a towel. There was not a single towel or washcloth in the room. In all my years of travelling and staying at hotels/motels, I've never had that happen. By that point, it was time to head out to the ballpark and watch the Giants beat the Dodgers (yay, Giants!). Got back to the hotel, tired and hungry. There was not a single parking spot left on the property. I drove to the strip mall across the street and didn't dare leave my car there as didn't want to risk getting towed. I managed to call front desk, which I am glad, as my battery was about dead. The guy directed me to park in the red fire zone on their property. I was hesitant, as there are laws against that, but he assured me my car would be fine. Went back up, got ready for bed, and there was a blood stain on the sheets. Ugh. This morning, took a look in the shower and it looked nasty. I ended up taking a shower with my socks on, as I didn't trust it. The shower head wasted so much water, though, as half the water went straight down, while the other half sprayed out. Really appreciated that we were able to check in early as we had drove 8hr prior to check in so was super exhausted. The room was spacious and bed was super comfy. Of course you pay for what you get. So of course because the price was pretty cheap, there were some flaws: crack in the mirror, older looking toilet and heater. But as long as we wasn't charged for those it was okay. Continental breakfast was a bit disappointing as there was limited choices and juice was watered down. Free parking was a plus. Overall, good stay. read more

Accidentally got a little too loose with the Priceline 'Name Your Own Price' roulette, and wound up with this joint on a recent trip to the Bay Area. I set my expectations very, very low, and while I was expecting mold, bed bugs, and all the other things past reviews have mentioned, I ended up pleasantly surprised! This hotel is what you pay for it, so while it seems to make no efforts to be fancy and offers the most bare-bones amenities, it's clean, quiet, and customer-friendly enough if you're just passing through the area or spending most of your days out exploring the Bay Area. The beds were well-kept and bug-free. The bathroom was decently maintained. There was a fridge and microwave available in the room. The continental breakfast was simple, but presentable enough. Nothing about this hotel is exceptional, but if you're booking a Super 8, you're probably looking more for 'reliable' than 'impressive', and this one certainly delivers in that regard. read more

Hotel is now a red roof inn. Cane in after hours, the check in was fine, nice lady but her and the new owner could not agree where the elevator was located to get to the third floor. Into room, one bed in made, sticky stuff on the counter, 1 hand towel, stunk of smoke and pot, no fridge. Went down and asked for another room. They moved us. Smoke pot snd hooker perfume up and down the hall. Tire up floor, over flowing trash, butts everywhere. Second room still terrible. Tv connection hanging off the wall, beds small and saggy, old ratty bed spreads. Went to wash my face and water pouring out under the sink on the floor. Management came, said he owned hotel for 2 weeks and new he had a lot of work to do. Recommendation, shut frown, fumigate, Todd beds, fridges, towels and linens away. Paint, new carpet and start again. Moved down the toad to the Marriott, $40 more, clean, fresh, courteous staff. So glad they could accommodate me. read more

This is probably THE Worst most disgustingly dirty hotel I have EVER stayed in! So much so that we almost didn't and wish we hadn't. Non smoking room that has been smoked in, nicotine seeping from the walls. Things on the carpet we don't even want to know what they are from. The walls are dirty with things splattered on them, AC unit literally falling apart. Not the best neighborhood.
