They upgraded our accommodation to suite! We had a great time here. Used it on our trip to 6 Flags. The place is clean, spacious and loved the friendly and approachable staff. I won't have second thoughts using it again if we are back in the area.

Booger and what seems to be pubic hair

First of all the hotel itself looks nice on the outside but inside it's a mess the walls look weird and outdated with their popcorn texture, and even knocking on them feels like they might collapse on you. And the cups that they give you under the TV are dirty but the worst thing has to be the fact that I found what seems to be a PUBIC HAIR ON MY TOWEL. I was traumatised and on top of that there was a booger on the wall overall just save you're sanity for something else

    Fridge is under the counter.

First time staying here. I really just wanted an overnight staycation so I could swim and relax. It is right across the street from 6 flags also but they were closed this day. The lady that checked me in was amazingly friendly and helpful. I was on the 4th floor and on the way to the room it reeked of weed. Ironically near room 420. Lol. But later that evening the smell cleared. My room was lovely. Big comfy bed. Very clean. Microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Large bathroom. I just should not have pulled the desk chair out. It was so ratty and gross. Like absolutely ridiculously ratty. It seemed like a joke. But aside from that the room was great. The pool was also perfect for what I wanted. Decent size and space and since six flags was closed it was very quiet out there. I went down to the lobby to have a glass of wine and order some dinner to take to my room. No let's get one thing straight. This is not a restaurant as you would think of it. Walk up counter that does have wine and some hard liquor. And a small menu of mostly apps. I ordered the burger with bacon and some chicken wings. The girl running the bar and food counter was wonderful!!!! So friendly, welcoming and helpful!!! She deserves a raise! The wings were good. Just classic Buffalo. The burger however was pretty bad. Well not bad.....but not good. It's basically a precooked frozen burger patty (I'm assuming) that was reheated. It really wasn't bad. The problem was the bun. It was clearly stale and was toasted so it was very very rough. Hard to bite through. I did finish it because it did taste good just hard to chew. Lol. The general men that checked me out was wonderfully friendly and helpful as well. Overall I had a great stay. But hotel management needs to BURN that desk chair!!! Now it is not a great area so don't leave anything in your car.

Or reception party at the hotel!

Our first time there and they DOWN GRADED my room for 4 from 2 queens to a single queen and a couch at the premium price! I sat on the pull out and felt springs!!!! I sat on the bed- more springs! Plus we were greeted by a skunk. The inside was NOT as the pictures on any website. It was old, rotten, and under "construction". The food was limited and premade. ( Fries or tatter tots!). No salad, hamburger, nothing cooked- microwave only! They offered a second room, splitting up our family of 2 adults and 2 kids! We did not stay the night.

    Comfortable sofa facing the tv.

1/15/21 - My granddaughter & I attended my cousins big milestone party. I chose to stay in Vallejo since she was having family over for a luncheon the next day. I had already pre-checked in so their was no problem for us because the party did not end until almost 11:30p. When I got to the desk everything was smooth sailing. The clerks were very personable and asked if we needed anything else. They were nice enough to call me and let me know that I left my car keys at the front desk. Our room was top-notch, we had a king size bed and TV. The room was very, very clean. My granddaughter fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. Once I got comfortable I was out too!! It was very hard to get up, that bed was super comfortable!!! I told my cousin about my room and she was happy that everything worked out!! I usually stay with her when I come for weekends, but her house was full of relatives that flew in, so I really didn't mind getting a room. I drove from Stockton, not as much traveling as my other relatives. They flew in from New York, Las Vegas & San Diego!! I might add she had a great party a a very nice hall.

    Bed Bug on the Bed

BED BUG ALERT! I was put in room 501 on 1/26/24. I always have a difficult time sleeping so at 2:30 AM, I sat up, turned on the light and looked behind me. There, where I had been laying was a BED BUG!!!! Just walking across the sheet (blurry photo). I scooped him up with a plastic cup and put one of those paper covers over it (see photos). He's nice and red - as if he'd just been feeding on me. I was quite impressed with Courtyard's response - AT FIRST. I called down to the front desk. There was no manager on site since it was 2:30 AM, but the woman at the counter was so nice, helpful and sympathetic that it was impossible to stay angry. She came right up with a bell boy luggage trolley and moved me to another room at the other end of the hallway near the elevator. I was shoving everything into my suitcase willy-nilly, and she helped stack stuff on the trolley. I showed her the bed bug. She took a photo of it and told me that she was going to send it to the manager. She even helped me lift the mattress and look at the seams for evidence of bed bugs in this new room. We didn't see any (but then I hadn't seen any in room 501 either.) Now comes the unimpressive, downright irresponsible part. I was away the next day, 1/27/24, and when I came in the main entrance around 4:30 PM, the man at the front desk asked how my room was. He had checked me in the day before so he said "Room 501, right?" So I told him that I had had to move and why. He had no idea! He is checking people in. If he doesn't know, he might check someone into Room 501. When a room has bed bugs, mattresses need to be treated with steam/heat and insecticides. This has to be done every few days to catch any new bugs that didn't die b/c they were still eggs. So you absolutely can NOT rent out that room for at least a week or 2. The following morning, 1/28, when I left my room for the day (and checked out) there was a housekeeper cleaning that room. I had seen someone cleaning the room the previous morning, so the fact that they were cleaning it again the next day means that the hotel must have rented the room to a guest. This is completely irresponsible. Those guests who had the room the night after me could have been bitten (some people have very serious allergic reactions) and also could have taken some bed bugs home with them, perpetuating the cycle. When I got down stairs to check out, the man at the counter asked me how my stay was, so I told him about the bed bugs (of which he had no knowledge). He asked if I'd like a manager to call me. I said, "I would have thought that one already would have." They absolutely should have called me on the 27 to apologize. But I gave the gentleman my number and he said that a manager would call me. A week later, no one has called. That day, another woman who was also staying at the same hotel asked me if they comped me for the bed bugs. I told her they had not. She was surprised. She told me that they had comped her because she complained that the internet was slow. What?!? Which is worse - bed bugs or slow internet?!? The managers at this hotel are completely incompetent. I do have to add that while I was in Room 501, before I discovered the bed bug, the internet was really bad. It kept fading out. I'd be "going along" and suddenly a page wouldn't load. That cycle repeated itself until I decided to go to sleep. But when I moved down to the room at the other end of the hallway, which is above the front desk, I had no internet problems at all, so they need to boost their signal. Lastly, service in their restaurant was terrible to non-existent. I went down the first night to get some dinner and sat for 15+ minutes before a waitress came. They were supposed to serve breakfast in the mornings (omelettes, pancakes, etc.) but there was nothing out either morning except cold muffins and croissants cut in half. Not even bagels and cream cheese. I do not recommend this hotel due to their callus attitude and response to bed bugs. After posting this review, I looked at other recent reviews. Another review here mentions bed bugs from March of 2023. Seriously? That was less than a year ago. This hotel seriously needs to shut down, tent up and buy new mattresses.

    Molly S.

Motel 6 quality, maybe worse. Very run down, dirty, and room smelled like wet dog. We always inspect the beds when we arrive and while we didn't see any bugs, the mattresses itself were disgusting. It was way too expensive for the quality and location. Staff was nice but that's all. Go someplace else

They have BED BUGS. Also this was the chairs in the room. And yes the hotel did confirm that they was BED BUGS.

Bed bugs alert don't stay here. I was moved to 3 different rooms while staying there for 1 week. Only reason why I stayed here because it was close to a hospital that my mom was in. Also it was recommended by the hospital. Even though I was able to wash my clothes there I threw them way with my shoes and suitcases. Also there was men & young girls walking the hallways. I did not feel safe here. I would not recommend this place. Beware bed bugs

Reception desk staff was nice and courteous. Room was wonderful. They have toiletries in case you forget. Pool view from the room was awesome. The spa and pool is awesome. Breakfast was great. A solid 3.5. It lost half a star for my post stay follow up which I will get into…read more I arrived at 1-1:30am and the doors were locked which is fine, I get it is for safety. They have a buzzer/door bell you ring. I rang it over 3 times while the staff stared at me and my 10 year old through the window. I don't think myself and a 10 year old look very threatening but maybe we do. I get inside, get out my ID and credit card. They find my reservation and tell me the deposit is $116.18. Kind of a weird amount but it is late, I have been traveling on a plane, in a car and am coming up on 19 hours awake so I don't care I tap my card, get the keys and leave. Check in took way longer as the employee was telling me "it didn't go through." It looked like it went through on my end but we got a room so I didn't care. Got to the room and basically crawled into bed. Woke up at 7:30 and decided to go down to breakfast. They had 2 waffle machines (one that makes a big waffle and another that makes 4 small waffles) they had 2 different kinds of batter (one was the regular kind and the other was banana bread) they had cheese omelettes, some kind of sausage, potatoes, scones, muffins, bagels, hard boiled, eggs, yogurt, fruit (bananas and apples) and cereal. Several juices, hot water for tea, hot cocoa and coffee. The omelette was meh. The potatoes were meh. Overall it was included with our stay so I was happy. Went upstairs to shower and get ready for checkout. The room was clean and we were able to shower, pack up and get ready to leave. Introduced my kid to old school Scooby doo episodes while we waited to check out. Headed downstairs to check out and asked if they store luggage since we were going to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and I had an SUV with no cover and worried about the car being broken into. They store luggage, tagged it, gave us claim tickets and we were on our way. Came by after SFDK and picked up our luggage, it was quick and easy. I got home, checked my credit card so the charge as pending and knew it would drop off as we had been in our room all of 9 hours not enough time to do damage. Few days later charge goes through. I called the hotel. No answer. Called the Hilton 1-800 line and they were able to reach hotel. They charged me for the room "accidentally." I spent 15 minutes calling and being on hold to get the issue resolved so I docked half a star. We had a room that faced the road and due to this it was very hard to sleep as there was lots of car noise. We used a white noise machine and ear plugs which muffled it. Within our room it was the fridge I believe that keep cycling and making a loud metal clanging noise which could be heard with the noise machine and ear plugs. I woke up 6 hours after arrival not because I felt rested and ready to start the day but because I could not sleep due to all the noise in the room. I appreciated that I could adjust the room temperature and keep it nice and cool. Overall a good stay for my purpose. They had a pool we would have loved to use but it didn't pan out with our schedule. I would stay here in the future but request a room not facing the road. Another odd thing about the room is when we got in, in the wee hours of the morning the traffic noise was really loud. I walked over to the window and it was slightly ajar. I closed it and locked it (was on the 3rd floor) but I was shocked you could open the window. I feel like other hotels I have stayed at the window does not open. Just something to keep in mind if you stay here particularly on lower floors.

Stayed here as a family of 4 - 2 adults & 2 teens - for a quick Spring Break trip to Six Flags…read more The property is stunning, and the location is fine, but as for 5 star Hilton/Doubletree standards I'm not convinced. Welcome cookies secured, we made our way to our room, a lovely 2Q with patio, past the resident ducks. The hallways *reeked* of marijuana, and then a door opened and an ankle biter dog came running at my kid & I. WHAT?!?! Didn't know it was party or pet friendly, and especially at this price point. Good: The room was fine, spacious & seemed clean. Bathroom was massive, I think we ended up with an accessible room. Beds were not the comfiest (especially after a day of rollercoasters!) and I noticed 1 of the locks on the patio french doors was missing, and the patio furniture outside was COVERED in spiderwebs. Wiped them off to use the table & chairs. The patio was nice to have, tho. Bad: The pool was FREEZING, not heated at all & the hot tub was easily 105-107°, dangerously scalding. You could barely dip feet in for a few minutes it was that hot. Bathroom was out of soaps in the dispensers, OK, we brought some. The wall temp unit RAN NOISILY ALL NIGHT, like constantly on, no matter what we set it to. Renovations are in place so there was tape outside on the patio. I agree with other posters that it needs a freshening up. There was no complimentary coffee or even cold brekkies/pasties in the lobby in the a.m, and the onsite restaurant wanted $6+/cup for coffee & the food was very expensive. At this room rate, I was surprised. For the price & conditions, I think a 1 night stay was OK for us, but our regular Marriott near Six Flags seems to offer better value & amenities.

This place feels like a quiet pact with the land. Rustic in the best way, where fog drapes itself…read moreover bare trees and stones like it belongs there. If you love camping energy without the chaos, nature without pretense, and that coastal hush where the air smells like earth and salt, this property understands you. The grounds are beautifully unpolished: mossy rocks, winding paths, skeletal trees silhouetted in mist. It's the kind of environment that invites slow mornings, layered sweaters, and long pauses where nothing needs to happen. Perfect for people who romanticize fog, coastal weather, and the liminal feeling between forest and beach. And then there's the restaurant, warm, grounding, and quietly excellent. The meal felt hearty and comforting without trying too hard: perfectly cooked eggs, crispy potatoes, good bread, and thoughtful accompaniments. Exactly what you want after a morning wrapped in cold air and contemplation. It felt cared-for, not flashy. Overall, this is a lovely choice if you're the type who enjoys nature as an experience, not a backdrop. Come here to reset, to wander, to eat well, and to let the fog soften your edges a little.
