Yesterday, while shopping in this store with my daughter I felt profiled. It was Sunday, so maybe it was the leggings and shirt that led the person who watched me and my daughter so closely to think that I should be watched...it was an uncomfortable experience. I only purchased a few items because I was in a time crunch but I wont be back. I have no need to spend my money at places where I am not treated fairly or where I am perceived as a "person to watch". I would avoid shopping here if you are a person of color there are plenty of other options. I will shop at another beauty supply store that does not perceive me as a problem customer. It was such a odd experience because the cashiers are people of color but perhaps the owners or other store employees still profile......

Though I was running a bit late, both the reception person and masseuse-Maria, greeted me with a warm smile. Maria did such a phenomenal job on my massage that I plan to book routine couples massages for hubby and I, and I'm returning this Thursday for a spa package (facial, manicure & pedicure). Cosmedica will be in heavy rotation for us ... professional, friendly, good service.

As a pro mua you don't always know what environment you're walking into and it's best to be prepared for anything. Thankfully I had the kit towel at my last gig. There was a terrible misunderstanding (not my client's fault) that lead to me having to do my client's makeup in a hotel bathroom and that kit towel came in extra handy! The changing station became my work station. Crazy I know but stranger things have happened. I highly recommend the brushes as well and wish I had bought a few more especially the concealer brush. The size and weight of it is perfect! The best part is buying from a brand made by an artist who truly understands the needs of other artists.

They know we by name, always smile and say hi, as well as answer any questions I have about medication. There's been a couple of times where I've come in a little early to get a medication, and said that I could come back another day, and they always tell me not to worry, they'll get it taken care of while I'm in the store. I would recommend this pharmacy to anyone.
