I had written this review but never got around to posting it. I went here back in September of 2025. Service was hard at first. We had a big group of 12 and we weren't sure if we needed to get a table first and then pay, or how it worked. And the servers didn't understand what we were trying to ask. The buffet had limited selection of food, which some of was okay. My favorites were the egg drop soup, cream cheese ragoon and green beans. The desserts were also okay. It's definitely a place if you want to stuff up on a lot of food at an okay price. read more

Update: Still very very flavorful food for a Chinese buffet, typical items but tasty. Fried chicken wings are very good. Still not using as much ginger in them which is great for us. Just a hint. Fried fish, I can't ever get enough of it, absolutely one of my favorites. well worked and constantly cleaned and filled and best thing of all hot. Salads and deserts still fresh. Drinks are still included in buffet as well as a soft serve machine. Also white and the best chocolate milk available as well. We come here at least twice a month now for the last year and still consistently good food every time. Still our heavy to go place for Chinese if you're looking for an assortment. Bathrooms are always clean, as well as the buffet area. Plates are cleared quickly off the tables. They also offer a menu as well. Yessss we love this place still. read more

My rating is for buffet dining, not fine dining. I live in the San Francisco area and enjoy good asian food. I did not expect much in the small town of Bemidji. For ready-made food, it was surprisingly tasty, better than most buffet food I've had in California. Though it was midday after 2pm, the food was plentiful, hot and pretty fresh. There were a lot of customers, given the hour, and it was clear why. If you are looking for a quick easy meal, hard to do much better. read more

I've been to many Asian food buffets in my lifetime. They're actually the only buffets I willingly go to. This place impressed me. Restaurant was clean. I know, in today's day and age there are all kinds of ups and downs to ratings. I'm not here to rate what they were wearing. I'm not here to rate the bathrooms. I'm here to tell you. This is really good Chinese buffet food. I bring my parents there regularly. We've never had an issue. Food has always been hot with fresh food being put in constantly Sometimes peoples perceptions are much different when they don't eat at many Chinese buffets. I have eaten regularly at least 15 different Chinese buffets a year around the United States for the past 20 years and it's nice to have something at home that has really good fresh warm food. Some people like to complain. One reviewer, for example, said she'd rate Super Buffet a zero if she could, yet her only complaint was that some of the dishes were bland. I'm sure there are better Chinese buffets out there, but this one is rock solid. It has nice seating, clean tables and bathrooms, friendly and attentive staff, and a decent selection of hot, tasty items that are constantly being resupplied. This is a go-to choice for our family. Great selection of tasty food. There's like five types of shrimp and chicken. Sometimes we fill up a to-go container for around $28, go home and feed three people dinner. There's also some American choices like fried potatoes. LOVE the stuffed mushrooms! Highly recommend. This place was a big disappointment. If I could rate zero, I would. Lomein was tasteless with no vegetables of any sort. Everything except the fried fish, coconut shrimp, fried dumplings, and steamed dumplings were decent. Other than that everything was tasteless with no favor. With no other Chinese buffet around, I guess that's probably why mix review. Averaging 3 star. I hate to say it, this place was no good and not worth the money at all. The only good thing, would be the guy, who cleared and cleaned tables deserved a great tip because he's a very hard worker. I cant wait for them to open back up me and my boyfriend eat there quite often and alot of times we will get to go boxes instead of eating in but i always enjoy the food and sometimes they have different stuff but i always usually get the same things it does cost alot that does suck but they are usually on the ball to pick up old dishes so if u get seconds u dont have a clutter and the staff are always nice :) read more

This place can have good items at times, but lately it feels meh. The cost has gone up so much that it kills the wallet for 5 person family. Variety is not there (don't get me wrong a ton of foods to choose from, but the same for years). Family is nice and they will still get our business, just maybe only a few times a year now. On the way to Baudette for a wedding. The route said we would pass Bemidji. And we plan to stop there for lunch. Big restaurant! and extensive menu also. I would say they have fresh ingredients and oil for cooking. Food taste like a food. Most buffet you cannot make a distinction either it was chicken cashew or general tso chicken for example because they taste similar. But this buffet is a bit higher in their quality. I like especially their salmon. I would say there are certain chicken dishes that too salty. Funny thing when I taste salt, I taste soy sauce. It made my heart leap for joy. It was true food. I can taste fish, soy sauce, grape. etc. I didn't try their dessert though. Anyway worth of come back if I was in Bemidji area. read more

It was a busy place. It was clean. They had a large selection of meat dishes. You could choose from 3 types of rice or lo main noodles. Several different types of won tons and pot stickers. Several staple dishes like sweet & sour, broccoli & beef, shrimps or fish. I felt for the price their should have been some types of sushi and at least one tofu dish for vegans like me. It was an ok restaurant. This was my first time going here. They had a lot of selection there and it was welcoming. The staff were nice. A few problems though, some of the food was not hot (Except the generals chicken) and the tables were really small. But rather than that its a good place! I might come back someday! Floridian here. You're tellin me for around 13 bucks total I can eat infinite egg rolls and drink code red nonstop? I'm sold. This place is obviously pretty popular so they're always cooking up fresh sets of hot food. The crowd in the restaurant ranges from college kids, families, and old people. There's a salad bar, veggies, ice cream, chicken, pork and beef dishes available. Pretty greasy stuff but I don't know what the hell you expected with a name like "Super Buffet," I mean in Florida I wouldn't even consider going to a place with a name that sketchy. Staff was welcoming and they were obviously in a rush to keep the area clean. Even the serving stations were in order and a quick peak in the back showed a freshly mopped kitchen floor and orderly storage. Pretty tasty Chinese food. Only complaint is the food could have been warmer. I don't care for lukewarm food.

All of the food seems greasy and nasty. The silverware is covered with grime, the plates are dirty, and the drinking glasses are covered with an oily slime. ICK! It would seem that this place is doomed, but it's been this way for years. I just don't know how they stay in business read more

Generally good. There is a good selection of food, and the flavor is decent. The tables and the buffet lines are kept clean. Sometimes things that don't go quickly and cool down, but that's the nature of a buffet. Staff are always very friendly. read more

Disgusting! Spent $12 on a buffet and the only edible items were the donuts. Large building. Typical crowd of people who 'look' like they enjoy buffet dinners. Seriously, even the rice was stale. The whole time I was there I kept wondering about the ingredients and food prep. P.S. the sweet and sour chicken sauce tastes like soap. I think everything they offer tastes great! Warning though, some of the foods are a bit greasy, oily and salty, but if you don't mind then you'll love this place, I eat there every chance I get! The place was packed, so people obviously like it. I found it " average ". With a name like " Super" I was expecting a bit more, it was pretty much just standard Chinese Buffet fare, nothing to get really excited about. Lots of pork. What I had wasn't terrible, it just wasn't that spectacular either. Run of the mill. Sushi or a Mongolian Grill on the side would gave really made a difference. I'm going to give this place three stars which is exactly what their average is as I'm doing this review. First of all they make you pay before going in. Second you seat yourself and get your own drink and silverware. Kinda like being your own waiter! The food was okay but that's all I can say about it. You can pick around and get full so that's what you came in for right? Since we are from out of town we won't be eating here again but we will try some of the other places over the next week. Beloved place to eat here in Bemidji. The food is always fresh, and hot. It is always being refilled. The staff is a bit standoffish, but could be a cultural thing.
