House special tofu ($11). Heavy, but fine.
    Kedar D.

Four Seas is the only place in Park Rapids to get Chinese food (and one of the only places with tofu on the menu), so it definitely fills a niche. It's also an uber-efficient establishment and was the only place in town taking orders with ease; every other restaurant we stopped by had long waits or had stopped taking orders for the evening (as early as 6 p.m.!). Park Rapids is a tourist town but its businesses aren't great at handling mobs of visitors, especially during COVID times. We got a bunch of dishes and generally liked all of them in the way that a person likes oily, heavy Chinese takeout. The house special tofu ($11) was the best thing we had, while the vegetable lo mein ($10) hit the spot in a comfort-food type of way. Try Four Seas if you want Chinese. It's your only game in town.

Yup, the front door is around back.

If you can't find this place, or it looks closed, go around to the alley and you'll find the door. It's a surprising little gem in this little town. Everyone is pleased to have real Chinese food available and a local favorite.

Relatively cheap food that comes out quickly at the expensive of portion size and taste.

Good food, inexpensive. I was here a year and a half ago, so I don't remember it well, but it was good.

We had a big group of 12 and we weren't sure if we needed to get a table first and then pay, or how it worked. And the servers didn't understand what we were trying to ask. The buffet had limited selection of food, which some of was okay. My favorites were the egg drop soup, cream cheese ragoon and green beans. The desserts were also okay. It's definitely a place if you want to stuff up on a lot of food at an okay price.

Just a hint. Fried fish, I can't ever get enough of it, absolutely one of my favorites. well worked and constantly cleaned and filled and best thing of all hot. Salads and deserts still fresh. Drinks are still included in buffet as well as a soft serve machine. Also white and the best chocolate milk available as well. We come here at least twice a month now for the last year and still consistently good food every time. Still our heavy to go place for Chinese if you're looking for an assortment. Bathrooms are always clean, as well as the buffet area. Plates are cleared quickly off the tables. They also offer a menu as well. Yessss we love this place still.

And New China was open at 3pm perhaps even the hours were 11am-8??! I think. For $10.49 I ordered House Special Lo Mein and Kevin out front was nice, he expressed that the chow mein is not the soft noodle kind and he showed me what Lo Mein looked like and I really like that because he did not want me to order the wrong noodles which I totally appreciated. My meal was awesome, he even had chili oil and when I asked for chopsticks, he had some handy. Not at the front though, but you can certainly ask for some. The place is not entirely fancy and it's casual but I sat at the restaurant and for a Tuesday, it wasn't super packed but a couple of folks waited for their food to go. The egg roll was actually really good than most places I've ordered from. Lots of free parking out front and surrounding areas in downtown. It's a quaint small but lovely and friendly town. No complaints here. I almost devoured my food due to a long day! I don't live in the area but appreciate New China for cooking delicious Chinese food. So good I saved for the next day for dinner. Also, Kevin was super cool, he gave me 3 fortunes cookies with my meal!
