A picture of the restaurant buffet.

This place is very good Chinese food Great shrimp and good spare ribs. There wasn't a lot of long lines and the seats were comfortable. You can get a pot of tea with the meal. The wonton soup was great also. The only thing I would say is that if you plan on eating ice cream bring your own shovel it takes forever to use their little scoops and their is usually a line of people trying to dig from the bats of ice cream I finally gave up in just a fruit. This is a good place I would come back.

My giggidy golly. Let me tell you, this buffet is the best buffet you're gonna come across in the 518. I highly recommend the sweet and sour, as well as the seafood. Very strong flavor with just such strong passion for how the food is made. Customer service is 11/10, very friendly, very nice, very awesome . BUT LASTLY. YOU MUST TRY THAT ICE CREAM IN THE BACK, IT BRINGS YOU TO PARADISE AND BACK. Please stop by and give them a hello!

Greenshell mussels and peel and eat shrimp.

I like this place a lot. They keep the food fresh and plentiful whether there are 3 or 30 people. You can't say that for many places.

However, I was happy with my General's chicken and sweet and sour pork and the green bean dish was very good.

This was a good place for sushi and wine…read more I ordered the sushi and sashimi plate and it was not really tasty, but it was also quite good looking. I.e., the presentation was great. The wine is a bit pricey, but they have some decent red wines on the menu. So I appreciated that. There was one gentleman as the server for the whole dining room, so that led to some understandable delays. Otherwise, this place was quite good.

Another wait - then waiter asking for order. (Would have liked a water while I waited.). Received warm water, salad and soup at same time. Could not get a waiter to get me cold water or ice. Received food - waiter walks away while he places food ifo me. Hello, please ....... he's gone. Finally flagged down someone walking around. Got ice. Took more time to get bill (I was not in a hurry), but, please can someone check if everything is alright, if I want something else, or the bill. Waved down someone walking around. Got bill. Waited over five minutes for someone to come and take it-nope. Took bill to front desk and paid for very good food and very bad service. New person a front desk, took bill, and was very friendly (finally). Went I arrived there were only two customers. When I left four more had come in. I have worked in restaurants. I understand employees lunch breaks-but, to have staff in room where there is no one and not paying attention to customers. Ahhhhh - (a person came in and finally alerted someone in kitchen for takeout) not good. The place is beautiful. The food is great. The service needs a lot more work. (A smile does help.). (BRW I had hibachi Filet which was delicious and the price was great.) It doesn't cost much to be attentive to customers

Second, because the hard working chef is once again quietly exerting his authority with small acts of independence. He brought out my lunch special himself but declined to give me a dinner plate (needed because the serving entirely covers the oval plate it was delivering on) and, once again, my pork with pickled cabbage had no pickled cabbage. Touche, Peter. The regular customer ordered items I would never consider, like walnut shrimp and egg foo young. But I'm sure it was still great, as was my no-pickles pork, as is everything Peter cooks. The guy is a gem. And he looks to be in good health after that mystery hiatus so I hope he'll be around awhile.

Instead of picking up takeout at the front door, customers can now make their way to the counter. I'm glad to see them reopen. I had a lunchtime craving for Cantonese style curry chicken. It was a favorite dish growing up and it brings back fond memories. Another favorite is Roast Pork Lomein. I also bought a shrimp stuffed eggplant appetizer. It was pretty good. There are also new lunch options. Instead of a free can of soda, I was offered soup. I chose Hot & Sour Soup. It was good. This is one of the few local Asian restaurants that offers brown rice which is a healthier option. I always make a point of calling ahead so the food order is ready by the time I get there.

The menu which comes on a tablet is formatted in a way that is a bit foreign but if you are able to stick with it you will find the Chinese specialties Americans are used to under American Style and Staples. My daughter and grandkids ordered from those 2 sections I ordered from Sichuan and Liaoning and made converts of the rest of the table. Dishes we ordered and devoured: Steamed as well as as fried Pork and cabbage dumplings: Plump, not doughy, delectable. The youngest got some pineapple chicken ting that she devoured. Daughter ordered Beef & Broccoli and a rice noodle dish with chicken. The broccoli was tasting, the noodles were not over cooked, the plate was cleaned by 3 at the table. Grandson ordered General Tsaos chicken. Looked good, he ate 90% of it. Thy other Grandmom and myself ordered the Eggplant with minced pork, stir fried cabbage and Mapo Tofu. INCREDIBLE. Daughter and Grandson reluctantly tried the 3 dishes and tucked into them like they'd never see food again. Lastly, I ordered the tea. A small pot with a loose mixture of high quality leaves that you can keep refilling from the carafe of hot water. We pried the mix they use out of one of the waiters because we need to have this again and again!
