DO NOT USE. I have used SCG in the past and was pleased with their efforts, but todays visit was a nightmare. Sat for 2.5 hours, then a manager that couldnt speak English tried to upsell me to a higher amount than I stipulated, then another stated there was a $4k fee to get a loan I had to cover, then they rejected my trade-in valued at $7k because I wouldnt take $1500 for it, THEN the last manager tries to get us to use Payday advances, or other loans to increase my down payment. I told them NO multiple times and eventually left disappointed in their service. THEN the same manager contacts me at home multiple times saying I needed to hurry back, and I had only one choice even though I declined. Got rather rude with me in the end when I called him out for his antics. Dear God dude, theres MILLIONS of cars for sale in US. Im sure theres other options. Result: Bad service, poor staff conduct, and manipulative sales antics. Go elsewhere trust me.

According to documents reviewed after the sale, the family's Toyota Prius does not appear anywhere on the final vehicle contract as a trade-in, despite the family allegedly surrendering possession of the vehicle during the transaction. Compounding the concerns, the contract also allegedly fails to reflect a separate $7,000 down payment made by the family toward the purchase. The family shared bank records clearly showing the payment was made. The situation became even more troubling after information surfaced suggesting the Prius may later have been sold in a private-party transaction for approximately $5,000, allegedly involving the dealership's finance manager. At the same time, approximately $6,400 in finance and backend products reportedly appeared within the transaction documents. The buyers, according to those familiar with the situation, faced significant language barriers and did not speak fluent English, raising additional concerns about whether the terms, products, and financial structure of the transaction were fully understood or properly disclosed. If confirmed, the circumstances could raise serious questions involving trade-in accounting, consumer disclosures, finance practices, and potential deceptive conduct.

In May of '25 my entire engine had to be replaced. I then had to have my radio replaced December of '25. CARMAX was not willing to make this situation right. I stayed in constant communication with CarMax, and they had clear notes in their system to hold the vehicle for a few days until I could finalize the purchase. Despite weeks of planning and coordination from overseas with banks, insurance companies and CarMax, I received a call on the day of the sale from the sales representative at CarMax informing me that the vehicle had been sold or shipped to another location. This was a vehicle I had carefully selected, and CarMax was fully aware of my situation and timeline. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I relied on CarMax to honor their commitment, and they completely failed me during an already stressful and time-sensitive period. This experience has been an absolute letdown, and I will never recommend or purchase from CarMax again. For a company that prides itself on customer service and transparency, they dropped the ball in the worst way possible. If you're a service member or someone on a tight timeline, I'd advise looking elsewhere to avoid a similar experience.

This review relates directly to the Ethos Maintenance/Warranty program being sold by the Don Hattan…read moredealerships. We purchased our Traverse in Nov 2023 at the west location. Because I was getting ready to retire, we thought it best to purchase these warranty products, to the tune of almost $7000 - front to back, top to bottom was the impression we got. 2 weeks ago I scheduled an appt to get new tires, as recommended at the last oil change. I was told someone would call me to find out what tire/pricing I was interested in. I told that person I had this Tire-Wheel-Dent coverage and she said ok, and that I should receive that call soon. No one called, so this past Monday, I called and the lady I spoke with said she was the one that did that and didn't know anything about me ordering tires. I, again, informed her of our coverage and she even took my VIN to confirm said coverage. Spoke with a gentleman to get the correct tires ordered and be ready for the appt on Friday (today). They get the work done and we go to pick up the vehicle and they tell me I owe them $950. I said no, I have this coverage and showed them the contract that we signed for it. Oh. Sorry ma'am. That's only for road hazard issues on tires that cannot be fixed. Then you can use that coverage. Needless to say, I was extremely upset, as I had talked to 2 different people at that dealership about having this coverage. They called the finance manager at the west store to confirm our conversation that we had with him over 2 years ago. ??? Of course, they didn't confirm or deny that conversation. They wouldn't budge, wouldn't give up a dime on my bill, all they could say was Sorry, we'll be sure to explain that coverage better to the next guy that decides to buy it. I will not buy another vehicle from Don Hattan, as they don't really seem to give a hoot about what their customers are told/not told about that insurance/warranty program.
