I do not recommend this place; I had a terrible experience with them. I bought a car that was broken and in poor condition, with bad tires. The bank denied the loan, and it took me a whole month just to get them to swap the vehicle. That dealership is a complete disaster--it was nothing but back-and-forth hassle every single day. They finally exchanged the car for an even worse one--one with a busted transmission--and I actually had to pay *more* money. I also traded in my old car; they gave me one valuation for it initially, but then later told me it was worth a different, lower amount. So, be careful--think it through very carefully before buying a car at that place. I bought my first car, a 2011 Nissan Murano, from Super car guys in 2015. My credit score was low due to a recently discharged Chapter 13 filing. They did find financing for me at a high APR. However, the vehicle was financed for way more than the retail sale price , which made it impossible to refinance. I recently purchased my second vehicle from them this month. A fully loaded Honda CRV Touring. After 13 days of owning the vehicle, I realized on one of our crazy weather warm Kansas days that the air was not blowing cold. I contacted the manager at the West location where I purchased the vehicle on Friday. He promised a call back that following Monday. No call back. After several calls to the West location, I was told to contact the service department, which I did. They told me they needed Manager approval to look at the vehicle. By now I am totally upset. Finally the manager contacted me. I take it in to the service department. They told me it needed a Compressor and hose at a cost of 1200 dollars and they were willing to pay half.I told them I was calling the finance company to cancel the contract. I still had my Nissan. I told them this was an existing condition of the vehicle when they put it on the lot for sale. They could keep it. I get a call back from the service department that the General Manager was taking care of the total repair. My advice: Walk around that vehicle and check it from head to toe for nicks, scratches and imperfections: I have found a few, because my vehicle was dirty. Take your time: Rome wasn't built in a day. Check and double check Heat/Air and under hood. Check interior really well. I just recently found a few cigarette burn holes. Also heads up: When they are looking for financing you will end up with multiple hard hits on your credit: I started getting adverse action letters from companies I wasn't even aware they had ran me through. Finally once the sales person completes the sale, they are useless. My sales person Ana, made a couple of calls, but in the end it was my leg work that handled the issue. DO NOT USE. I have used SCG in the past and was pleased with their efforts, but todays visit was a nightmare. Sat for 2.5 hours, then a manager that couldnt speak English tried to upsell me to a higher amount than I stipulated, then another stated there was a $4k fee to get a loan I had to cover, then they rejected my trade-in valued at $7k because I wouldnt take $1500 for it, THEN the last manager tries to get us to use Payday advances, or other loans to increase my down payment. I told them NO multiple times and eventually left disappointed in their service. THEN the same manager contacts me at home multiple times saying I needed to hurry back, and I had only one choice even though I declined. Got rather rude with me in the end when I called him out for his antics. Dear God dude, theres MILLIONS of cars for sale in US. Im sure theres other options. I will say I was a little disappointed. My first car experience with them in 2023 was great (Rock Rd Location) and for some reason this last time all I did was go to a different location of theirs and the experience was suboptimal. There was lack of communication, the agreement was a drivers side window would be fixed prior to me moving the end of this month with my newborn to a different state (my last car i got from them was in process of being totaled) so I was in a slim spot and had not great credit. I can say they did get me approved for a good rate of 490/month. However the communication is lacking somewhere in their system. When finally told it was ready the vehicle still had the crack in the drivers side window (was not fixed like promised) if it would have been fixed we would of 100% took the vehicle, they did attempt to either offer to fix it (wasnt an viable option due to us moving and them promising that in the first place & it not getting done) or they offered to give us money to take it elsewhere to get it fixed? I am assuming it was an attempt to make it right, however just having had a newborn and this being our only vehicle we wouldnt of been able to of gone and gotten it fixed anywhere. I am disappointed & I felt like I was laughed at and my concerns not taken seriously at some points. We ended up having to go elsewhere. The guy I am sure was joking but made a comment about us shopping around still after getting us a good deal. The only reason we were still looking is because the lack of communication made us concerned they had sold the vehicle to someone else (thank god we did keep looking). I have been composing this review for about a month. I purchased my 2020 Mitsubishi outlander on May 4, 2024, after spending almost 10 hours in that place (I also purchased an extended warranty). By May 15th, I was having mechanical issues, there was a very loud grinding noise when I would turn the steering wheel, I went to Super Car Guys West and spoke to Tyler, who sold me the car, and he instructed me to go to Subaru of Wichita and have them look at it. I took it to Subaru of Wichita, where I was charged almost $400 for them to diagnose that the CV joints were going out. I went back to supercar guys West and showed Tyler the receipt with the money that I had to pay to have it diagnosed. He proceeded to gaslight me and asked me why I didn't call him before I paid anything. I was not offered any compensation at that time. When the problem persisted, I was told to take the car to the service center on Rock Road. I am two weeks into owning this car at this point. I gave the service manager, Tyler, a copy of the diagnosis from Subaru Wichita. At this point, they did not have a loaner for me and I was told to bring it back two days later, and they would have a loaner. The loaner they gave me transmission was shot, I tried very hard to not even drive it because it was scary. He then said it would be a few days for them to get the parts. I was fine with that, after a few days I called to get an update, and I could not get a hold of anybody, and I couldn't get anybody to return my calls. So, after trying to make contact for 3 days, I had finally had enough, and I went and got lunch, and I went to supercar guys on rock Road, and sat up there waiting until somebody came to help me. I did snap at the poor kid who had just started there, and I did apologize to him. But, the service manager, Tyler, is an asshole. He has been one of the most unhelpful and uncommunicative people in this whole process. After I finally got him to respond to me, he told me that it was, in fact, not my CV joints, but my rear differential package. I asked him when that was going to be fixed and he said that they are sending out an adjuster, but that they wouldn't be there until the next week. So I went in again the next Tuesday, because there is no direct line to their service department for me to call and asked him what was going on, and he told me that the adjuster still hadn't come out, but he was going to go ahead and order the part, and my car should be done by the beginning of the next week, it is approximately June 4th by this time. I made another trip to Rock Road the next week, and he informed me that they were still waiting on parts but it should be done by the end of the week. The process was repeated for the next two weeks. The last day I went up there was June 28th and that's when I started losing it. I stopped being nice and polite and sadly enough, it worked. I went to the store manager at Rock and he couldn't help me because I didn't buy the car there so I ended up at West and they "repaid" me for the 400.00 I spent getting the car diagnosed initially, I was also told one of the mechanics was "coming in on his day off" which was Saturday, the 29th and that my car would be done by Monday, the 1st. Guess what? It wasn't done. I just drove off the lot at 9:45 am today, Tuesday July 2nd, 2024. Tyler (at West) also lost my physical tags so I have to pay to replace that on top of new tags, when I had asked him what to do about that I was told I couldn't switch them over anyway. I called the tag office and she said that's not always true but that they were going to charge me for the missing tag anyway. I received no further communication on that. While I was picking my vehicle up this morning I again called the West street location and asked Tyler if they could provide me with another temp tag since I haven't been able to take any out of town jobs, because they've had my vehicle, and my paychecks have been suffering. He told me they would get a fine if they did that, but that I could purchase a 30 day temp tag through the temp office for 90.00. That's not a thing, the tag office does not offer extensions. This has been the absolute worst experience I've ever had buying a car, I will never purchase here again and I will never recommend them to anyone else. So, just to recap, I missed out on a whole day with my family, 10 hours to get a vehicle, less than 2 weeks later there were problems with the vehicle. I had to pay to diagnose those problems, then got gaslit for paying. They had my car for a month and a half, they "did me a favor" and repaid me for something that was covered in the first place, I paid my first car payment on a car I didn't even have and now I'm paying for tags with money I don't have because since y'all had my car for so long I couldn't take any out of town jobs to boost my paychecks and was forced to take local jobs that don't pay shit. This company advertises that they are no pressure no negotiate. But in order to even see their vehicle price they make you enter your info.... Then they will proceed to call, text, and email you multiple times a day. You can try to be nice and tell them you are just starting to look, just shopping around, ect. But you will eventually have to get pretty nasty and direct with them to get the hint that you just wanted to see a price and will never shop there because they harass customers to get them in the door. read more

Saw a car online that was make, model, and price range I was shopping for so I scheduled an appointment online. The gentleman that greeted me was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Went on a test drive and was still interested so I was offered to take the car overnight. Took the car to show my husband and get his opinion. While I'm on the overnight test drive the manager calls me to tell me that they made a mistake. The price on the car is incorrect and it's actually $10,000 higher. They then told me that I needed to return the car if I wasn't interested. I had done my research and the original price was what everyone else in town was priced around. This experience not only felt illegal but it also seemed like they where trying to take advantage of me. To make matters worse after I walked away they proceeded to call, text, email, and snail mail. It took me explaining that I bought the same car elsewhere cheaper then the original price with 20,000 few miles to get them to leave me alone. read more

We contacted Super Car Guys of Wichita and exp our situation on car buying with them on a few occasions. One example was we were traveling 4hrs from home to purchase a car. The other was the fact we did not have a down payment. We sent all of our information to them and was told we were preapproved and no down payment would be an option. I made sure to stress several times we had no down payment and we needed our monthly around 4/500$. We were told that is possible with no red flags after getting all our information. We made the trip, however the promises were not met. They were not able to make a deal without at least 6k down or a co-signer. We were told the internet ladies don't have the ability to pre approve people. They said there was nothing they could do for us without 6k down or a co-signer. DONT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE THAT TAKE ALL YOUR INFORMATION. ITS JUST A WAY FOR THE LOT TO GET PEOPLE DOWN THERE. The slogan is "buying a car doesn't have to suck" only because they order pizza and offer you a soda while they make broken promises!!!! The cherry on top was "here is a $20 gas card for your troubles and at least we fed you!" (keep in mind it cost me $120 in gas to make the 8hr trip and my daughter ate ONE SLICE of the pizza!!!!!!) Will not honor the life-time guarantee. First, I'd like to say they get you a vehicle even if you have credit issues. I still drive a vehicle purchased from SCG back 2012. Issue: I bought a vehicle from SCG in 2018. It ran fine and was great until summer 2020. Two years later the transmission and engine block went out, so we are talking over $4000. We gathered all records of oil changes, tune ups, new tires, etc., to take advantage of the life-time warranty. Gave them the paperwork and we were told "We need to send it to corporate for approval". Long story short, they did not approve and we are stuck with a vehicle that doesn't function, car payments, and lack of $4000 plus in funds to fix. There is one good salesman there, but that's about it. Not going back. read more

Buying a car doesnt have to suck but it did when we went to Super Car Guys. Found the car I wanted, test drove, loved it so that was that. I already knew my credit wasnt the greatest but not to worry they said. And they were right, they found a finance company that would work with us. Only thing they needed was a copy of our taxes. Umm..ok. now, we live on one side of Wichita, they are on the complete other side. Thats ok they said, go ahead and take the car, get your paperwork and come back Monday. It was a Friday we were there. Really? I said, take the car? Yeah no problem. Ok cool. Monday we returned with our tax papers. And we waited..and waited ...and WAITED. Finally here comes the finance guy. Went through the paper work, sign here, sign here, sign here and sign here. FINALLY! we were done, the car was mine!!!! Two weeks later I get a call from them. The finance company had denied us. WHAT???!!! Like, I thought it was a done deal. Apparently no, BUT there is ANOTHER company that we have that is willing to work with you. We just need you to bring your proof of income for the last 3 months. Omg..another trip over there and besides, we signed all the paperwork, how can they go back on it? So we go back, at this point my bf wants to just give it back and leave the car there but Im already attached and dont feel like starting the whole process again somewhere else. After another mind numbing wait (i can only eat so much popcorn) finance guy comes back and says ok good to go, it just changes the numbers a little. Because of my credit and yada yada yada...payment goes up, of course. Bby this point we just want to get the hell out of that place. We sign the paperwork and leave. The car was great no problems just a real inconvenience the way they do things. After telling my experience I have had several other people tell me the same thing. After "purchasing" the car they get a phone call saying they had been denied by finance company. Im sure it is to do with people not having stellar credit but its bullshit having you go through all the paperwork and sending you on your way only to be told later oh sorry, you were denied. read more

Everything was fine, service was decent, although the begging for a 5 star review really didn't help them, especially considering what happened next... Five days after signing all the papers they called to inform me that there was a requirement in the loan that *they* didn't disclose and told me I had to pay an extra $375 to resolve that condition. I would have had that if I had known about it sooner but after the down payment I had already made I did not have funds immediately available. Their proposed "solution" was to switch banks, which would extend the loan for a year and double my interest. That isn't a solution and is a complete insult considering it was THEIR mistake. They tried to make it sound like they were doing me a huge favor by doubling my interest because, "they payments would be about the same". I personally went to the bank that the financing was through and resolved the issue myself. I give myself a five star review because apparently I can do a better job than their financing department. I will actively attempt to persuade anyone I know from ever dealing with this company or one they are associated with. read more

So I never really complain about places and I NEVER get angry at workers but I HAVE to put this story out there. I went to Super Car Guys on N West St in Wichita, KS on Friday, March 4. I find a nice car and we start working on the numbers for it. They bring out the paper that has the four boxes on it stating the car price, my trade in, my down payment and the monthly payments. The first paper had payments of DOUBLE what I said I was comfortable with. I remind him of where I want my payments, he writes it on the paper, I sign the paper agreeing that it is what I want and he leaves to work on it. Comes back with payments still over $100 more than what I say. I remind of where I'm comfortable and say absolute max would about $20 more than what I originally said. We write that number on the paper and I sign it again. We wait for about three hours and ask how much longer because at this point we had been there a little over 4 hours and had to go get our kids from the babysitter. They say it's still going to be a while but I can take the car that night and finish papers the next day. They told me they needed the down payment to take it off the market and we confirmed if we brought the car back I would get that refunded, multiple workers said YES. We sign insurance papers and leave. We were scheduled to come back the next day (Saturday 3/5) to sign off on the payments and finish the paperwork, I got a call about an hour before our appointment saying not to come in because the paper work wasn't ready. We go in on Monday morning (3/7) and are told it's still not ready and to they will let us know later in the week when we can come back, I say I'm off Wednesday and they confirm that it should be ready then. I get a text Tuesday saying it won't be ready and they will reach out again to schedule a time to come in. I thought this was all strange that the papers still weren't ready almost a week later so I call the guy in charge of financing and leave a voicemail asking what's going on, I then get a text from him asking if I was planning on coming in today (Thursday 3/10) to sing the papers. This confuses me so I ask him to call me and he was wondering why I wasn't in to sign the papers that had BEEN DONE! I say I don't know what's going on but I'd rather bring the car back, get my old car and down payment back and that I'll be in the next day. Fast forward to the next day, I get there and sit down with the sales manager, he explains that they got my loan approved but the payments were still almost $100 more than what I said I could do. I say it's absolutely fine that we couldn't get the payments to where I need and I understand but I'd rather give the car back. He leaves and the store manager comes in. Bob. Bob proceeds to tell me that they got my loan approved, "it's not his fault I can't afford the payment" and I've had the car past 72 hours so he will not be giving me my money back and I am required to buy the car. I try to explain that I never signed any papers agreeing the buy the car, no one informed me of the 72 hour policy and that I would have brought it back had his workers not kept me away from the store. This man who is at least 6' tall is standing next to me, 5'4" and sitting, and keeps talking over me and saying this is all my fault and will not be giving me a refund. The rest of the night unfolds with my friend coming out to talk to them which they tried to intimidate him too but thankfully didn't work. After Bob told me that "this is sad, clearly your word means nothing." He gave me my money and my car back and took his car back. LONG story short, this place with "No Sharks" (that's part of their motto) tried to intimidate me, bully me, and trap me into a car that I could not afford and no longer wanted. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE. If it wasn't for the sales man I was working with who finally stood up to his manager to say what he was doing wasn't right and he should refund me, I would have been stuck. read more

Got there and lo and behold it mysteriously wasn't there. 10 minutes later when we arrived. He came out with keys for some over priced car on the lot, but realizing he ran the FB add just to get people to come in to sale expensive cars on the lot we walked out. Then when we checked fb again the ad was pulled, but we have a copy of it and the emails for the consumer protection people. read more

We have been to SCGs 4 times. First time was a great experience. 2nd time not so great but that was a salesman who I believe isn't there anymore. 3rd time was ok but not a great experience. This 4th time might be the last time. The woman who was showing us cars was friendly and nice I did enjoy her showing us around. BUT she told us, as well as a 2nd employee, about a customer who they sold a car to. They said 3 months later their car was breaking down and they weren't happy so they got them in a new car. Well about 3 months later and I'm not asking for a new car but the bottom piece to the front and back bumper were starting to fall off and were dragging by the time we got it to SCG to see what they will do. And apparently it seems like they will do nothing. Then after my wife took it to their shop the bottom paneling covering the bottom of the car started falling off and dragging on the road on our way to Nebraska. On top of that they told me that with a downpayment(a high one that I really couldn't afford) i would have no payments until Sept. But then upon signing a 2nd set of papers the first payment was due in May. Very sketchy and I wish I would have handled that differently but it was a long day and I didn't feel like getting into it with him. I wish we could say we recommend SCGs like we use to. But if they are going to start lying about payment dates and tell a bs story about getting someone into a new car b/c theirs is breaking down months later but then they won't fix an inexpensive problem that occurred to a car they just sold then i cannot in good faith recommend them anymore.
