Extremely disappointed. I bought a 2015 Chevy Silverado from this dealership, and within just 20 days the A/C quit blowing cold air. A vehicle shouldn't develop problems this quickly after purchase, especially when I also paid for a costly service contract. This review relates directly to the Ethos Maintenance/Warranty program being sold by the Don Hattan dealerships. We purchased our Traverse in Nov 2023 at the west location. Because I was getting ready to retire, we thought it best to purchase these warranty products, to the tune of almost $7000 - front to back, top to bottom was the impression we got. 2 weeks ago I scheduled an appt to get new tires, as recommended at the last oil change. I was told someone would call me to find out what tire/pricing I was interested in. I told that person I had this Tire-Wheel-Dent coverage and she said ok, and that I should receive that call soon. No one called, so this past Monday, I called and the lady I spoke with said she was the one that did that and didn't know anything about me ordering tires. I, again, informed her of our coverage and she even took my VIN to confirm said coverage. Spoke with a gentleman to get the correct tires ordered and be ready for the appt on Friday (today). They get the work done and we go to pick up the vehicle and they tell me I owe them $950. I said no, I have this coverage and showed them the contract that we signed for it. Oh. Sorry ma'am. That's only for road hazard issues on tires that cannot be fixed. Then you can use that coverage. Needless to say, I was extremely upset, as I had talked to 2 different people at that dealership about having this coverage. They called the finance manager at the west store to confirm our conversation that we had with him over 2 years ago. ??? Of course, they didn't confirm or deny that conversation. They wouldn't budge, wouldn't give up a dime on my bill, all they could say was Sorry, we'll be sure to explain that coverage better to the next guy that decides to buy it. Don Hattan West intentionally sells vehicles that they have not fixed after buying them at auction. We bought a used equinox in September 2025 and within 30 days it was literally falling apart and the tires had wires poking through. Just finished taking to one of their sales managers who thought he was being polite but actually was pompous and condescending. Perhaps because I'm female and he thought he could mansplain to me. First I would like to start with, My family, extended family, and husband and I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from this business ever again. Within one month of purchase (2024), I noticed oil spots in my driveway and the engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the rear AC control was not functioning properly. I promptly brought the vehicle in for repairs, only to find that after the service, the engine light came on again, the rear AC control remained faulty, and the only issue resolved was the oil leak. Despite these ongoing problems, I continued to rely on your service department and had the vehicle scheduled for additional repairs multiple times. Most recently, in September 2025, I scheduled repairs for several issues, including the engine light, a squeaking noise from the front end, windshield wipers that would not turn off, and transmission problems. It has now been over two weeks, and no repairs have been completed. Furthermore, the extended warranty I purchased through your dealership, which was supposed to cover transmission repairs, remains unapproved by the warranty company. Additionally, the warranty excludes coverage for any other vehicle issues I have encountered, leaving me responsible for significant expenses despite my expectation of comprehensive protection. This experience has caused considerable inconvenience, financial strain, and loss of confidence in your dealership's commitment to quality and customer care. After having my battery checked at the auto parts store, I had my Cadillac towed to this dealership on 7/17. This was my first interaction with this dealership ever. On 7/19, I received a text link from the service advisor, Tyler, that stated that my car needed a new alternator. The text message did not itemize the charges. When I called the dealership to get this information, was told that there was no way to send it to me. They quoted me $2558.45 to do this work. Needless to say, I paid the $160 (with fees) inspection fee, and had it towed to another repair facility. Turns out, after testing my existing alternator, onboard computer, etc. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ALTERNATOR. The battery failed... bottom line, parts store owes me a tow, and Don Hattan charged me an inspection fee and didn't really test my alternator (which they state failed). Clearly, they were hoping I would just pay them $2500 to replace a perfectly fine alternator. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. FRAUD! read more

We've been shopping for a very exclusive car for 3 years. We called Don Hattan and they said they could order one for us. We were so excited. Then Davis Moore called and said they had an allotment for one. We had already committed to Don Hattan so we turned Davis Moore down simply because it was the right thing to do. We live West of Wichita so it was quite a drive to Park City to meet with Don Shaw and John. We met John and we started the order process. Don comes up and says we can't order that, we don't have an allotment. My husband checks his texts and they specifically say they have one. We left as quickly as we could. We heard them say, as we left, we can't get another one until we sell the one on the floor. This was a an obvious bait and switch. They out and out lied to us. We were brokenhearted. We knew the Davis Moore allotment was probably gone. We went ahead and called Davis Moore and Jonathan said yes, he still had it available. We just ordered our new car just like we wanted it. My car needed a catalytic converter replaced, and they were about to charge me $5,000.00 to fix the problem. I took my car to other services within Wichita and offered a significantly lower price of $2,000.00. There were some issues with a back ordered part and then some mechanical issues and I was kept updated the entire time and taken care of more than fairly. Although the dealership is more than an hour away from my home, I will happily drive that drive knowing my vehicle will be fixed correctly and tested vigorously, if needed, before given back to me. I spent an entire morning and afternoon working a deal for a used Jeep Grand Cherokee that they had available via text message. Around 3:30PM, my salesman John Collins informed me that the GM was willing to give me what I was needing for my trade in, pending seeing it in person and asked when I wanted to come in to complete the deal. I wrote back and told them 1-2 days as today was Saturday and they are closed on Sundays. He replied back 5 minutes later informing that he needed me to tell him "alternative" vehicles I was interested in because the Jeep we had been working out the entire day sold earlier that morning.....He sent along a short list of 2023 Suburbans and Tahoes. Mind you, the vehicles he suggested were 15-20K more than the vehicle I had enquired about. Seemed like a pretty sleezy way of up selling if you ask me. This dealership and salesman were a complete waste of time and he was rude about it, when I asked why he and his team were even working a deal with me on a vehicle that was already sold. They even gave me a paper on how much the car was ($15K), which I still have as proof, and somehow it jumped price ($17K)when doing the financial part, this was not including taxes and other fees. HAS ANYONE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY DON HATTAN CHEVROLET? Let me just say they did the most shady thing after finding out their mistake of swapping two trucks on paper they CHANGED THE MILES ONLINE... come on. To try to look like they didn't mess up and to match the other truck. BUT the truck was still pictured with different miles on the odometer listed with 16,528 less miles than the odometer on the truck says. Don't think that's possible. (screenshots below) Now it's changed back once they knew they caught that. On February 27, 2021 (3 weeks ago) my Step-Dad, Ed went to Don Hattan in Park City, KS and bought a 2015 Chevy truck. He went to the dealership the day before, liked this truck, got the price, came home to think about it. The sales manager called him the 27th and they negotiated the price, so Ed and Mom went back to buy it. They test drove it, the sales manager met them at the door after and asked how they liked it. Then he walked out to the truck with my Step-Dad to look at a rock chip in the winshield. They looked ALL around BOTH sides of the truck Together. The sales manager wrote and signed a paper that their dealership would fix the windshield. When Don Hattan was doing the paperwork, my parents noticed the miles they had on the paper weren't what the truck odometer said when they just drove it. The paperwork said almost 76,000 but the truck only has about 59,000. SO, the salesperson walked out to the truck, got the right miles off the odometer, told the sales manager and he changed the paperwork to the right miles. Signed the deal, got the keys, Don Hattan put a 60 day tag on it and my Step-Dad drove it home! NOW!! My Step-Dad found out Don Hattan Dealership put the wrong VIN# on the paperwork for some truck he never even looked at! AND they told him he owns that other truck! WHAT?! A truck that he's not interested in and didn't look at in the first place. It was in the shop so there's no possible way that he would've seen it that day anyway. THEN the dealership said they will Tear Up the contract and make a new one for the truck my Step-Dad has (bought) BUT said he must buy it AGAIN for Several Thousand Dollars More!?! He tried to negotiate with them, but they won't "take a loss". Seriously.........my parents bought a truck that is just sitting in their shop. They can't drive it, insure it, tag it, nothing. AND NOW!!! Don Hattan says my Step-Dad didn't buy the truck so they are coming to "repossess" it on Saturday. HOW is it right for Don Hattan Chevrolet in Park City (or any dealership) to do this and just say they "made a mistake" and don't have to honor the sale??? read more

I saw the low rating and went in with a grain of salt. That being said I'm happy with the end result knowing that I walked away and didn't get scammed. The below review is my opinion and just being open and fair so that Wichitan's in the future aren't wasting their hard earned money. I went in to look at a 2018 Midnight Edition Chevy Silverado LTZ - KBB showing 38,897 at the time for HIGH END of going rate for this vehicle. Their listing 42,999. They are charging a PREMIUM. I looked over many other trucks and they were all at the highest end of KBB or several thousands above. I worked with Andrew Leonard, not a great salesman; supposedly not on commission yet was very vocal about my opinions on damage to the vehicle that they HID from the viewing. Also dealt with many "scoffs" from him over multiple occassions but the best was when I advised about not liking a particular ecoboost engine (was asking/looking at other trucks) due to it's unreliability followed with "that's a great engine what are you talking about?!". Do yourselves a favor and google eco + engine and you'll see that they do not go hand in hand when it comes to reliability and being issue free. Sure some of them may work great and will serve your purpose but compared to all the engines out they're they are not the best. Regarding Damage to the truck I looked at. The back seat was literally stuck in the upright position. Two different people came out trying to man-handle it back down before I told them not to worry about it because my wife and child would stay at the dealership and didn't need to go with. They did say that would be fixed if we moved forward but the fact this "missed" their inspection makes me question what else was "missed". Their photos fail to show several gouges and deep chips in the paint of a "2018" vehicle which was another thing that was scoffed at like I was an idiot because it's a "2018 used vehicle it's going to have some "minor" damage". I've owned many vehicles and much older than 5 years with no chips in the paint and/or deep gouges that were more than just surface scratches. Lastly their photos are DECEPTIVE; they interior of the truck looks (and for the most part was) pristine. They were careful however to crop out the massive tear in the leather on the drivers side and the seal on the door was literally falling apart. Despite all of this I tried negotiating down to a fair price and boy am I glad they refused. They do not negotiate. Apparently this is a new business model and one that deserves to fail. It does NOT have the customer in mind. They attempted all of the typical scummy dealership scams of trade-in, financing for longer to lower your payments etc. I however did not have a trade in and already secured financing. My offer was 43K out the door, they basically cover my Taxes + fees. I'm not sure who exactly was brought back (sales manager maybe?) but he brought me a sheet showing how they purchased this truck for ~$41,500 and they were only making about ~$1500 on the truck and how they have to make a profit. That's total BS. Did they pay 41,500 for that truck? I bet so. Did they do that to secure profit on an overpriced sale? I also believe so. At the end of the day Don Hatten Chevrolet is downright deceptive and this non-negotiable pricing is a failed business model that has no place here. If they were doing online sales only I'd agree with it but why you would EVER buy a used vehicle 100% online is beyond me. If you do go this route and choose to pay a premium for an online vehicle just remember that the photos are deceptive and in my case did not show the real issues that were not mentioned anywhere. read more

FUTURE BUYERS BEWARE DON HATTAN STEALERSHIP!!!! I wrote an awesome sincere review about two weeks ago on Don Hattan El dorado. I was left to believe service I received from them was honest and one of a kind I thought. I now feel betrayed and I wonder how many customer have gone through the same problem did not notice and fail to acknowledge. I will not disclose names to offend anyone or anybody. Just beware if you shop here get prequalify with an outside institution that doesn't deal with them directly. I signed a contract for a 3.99 % APR and a term for 60 months with my first payment due on 9/15. Soooo can someone just tell me after signing a contract "Ally" the finance company sent me instructions to set up my account and I notice the entire contract is screw up. The APR is now 5.09% and the term of the loan has now jump to 72 months with my first payment being on 8/31. I contacted Ally and they told me those were the numbers they have gotten from Don Hattan. I am angry how the finance person had me signed the docs and waited till I left to edit the numbers possibly. This whole shady yo-yo transaction not the way to do business. I could be wrong on Don Hattan doing this but I want to give give them the benefit of the doubt. I filed complaints with the state and other agencies for Contract breach and maybe take legal action. We went to don Hattan 3 times tryin to get this finance guy to find out why the bank did not know who we were. The bank where the loan was suppose to be had no information on us. I purchased a 2019 Chevy Spark on March 11 2019. The dealership only had one key for the vehicle and I was assured they would order one. I was told the key was placed on back order. It is still on back order on 6 April. I have spoken to a locksmith in town who said they could make a key for the vehicle. I guess having one made would not be possible for a large auto dealership. One has to wonder if the dealer cannot get a simple key how are they going to be able to perform warranty work on the vehicle over the next 6 years. Terrible. Purchased a used vehicle for my daughter. We took delivery a week after we purchased only to have (the same day) the remote and tail light not working. In addition the parking brake malfunctioned. They also conveniently forgot to tint the windows which was negotiated into the sales price. I was very patient and understanding with the salesman Wes. When we finally got the car back, we had to detail the car ourselves and noticed pop spills in the front and backseat of the vehicle. Obviously they failed to detail the car or did a horrible job of it. Then we took the car in for the parking brake issue only to find out that the previous owner had split pop down the shifter. Don Hattan basically accused us of spilling the pop and refused to pay for the repairs which cost $470. Worst experience ever! Run! I will never recommend to purchase from Don Hattan. read more

Dropped off our car under warranty Wednesday to have the oil changed and the transmission checked. They claim they didn't feel what we feel "slippage" every time we drive it. Go Saturday morning to pick up car and they didn't even do the oil change. Said we didn't mark to have that done. We point out the check mark in the box for oil change. Their excuse "we thought that was marked on accident". It was all discussed on the phone before we even dropped off the car. Needless to say now we sit waiting on what they were suppose to do any time between Wednesday-Saturday morning. NOTHING done. Upon immediate notice of the deficiency and request for correction, they have pushed her to the side without any remedy. She is now stuck with a car that she is not satisfied with and the dealership is not interested in making its customers happy or honoring its commitments. Please don't bother with a canned response to contact your dealership without providing a specific contact person. Purchased our vehicle from Derby location. At purchase, it was agreed 4 items would be fixed. Bought in June, now September 21. Don Hattan fixed the rust as agreed, though window panels were not done, though the body shop was suppose too. Sensor work still being resolved. Due to Don Hattan unable to resolve the window flashing, they authorized me to take to a local dealer, specifically. I took to specific dealer and they resolved. When dealer called Don Hattan Derby (Charles) he called me stating he was refusing to pay bc it was more than ​he thinks should have been. He never requested an estimate and said it was more between the two dealers. I was forced to pay $1,089 to get my vehicle bc Don Hattan Derby backed out after the work was done. My family of 6 can't afford that and they have no excuse, juat blatant refusal. Be careful with them as they are snakes. Went to purchase a new car was paying cash so it was an exact amount I wanted to spend first of all I was questioned numerous times why I didn't want to finance kept saying over and over I didn't want payments. Second the sales person Lyndsey is horriable this was over a month ago and the original car I went to look at I was told by her that it just sold but it's still on there lot and then she got loud and ask me why I was even there because I kept saying I had a certain amount to spend she was rude because I didn't want to finance. This morning I was a block from Don Hattan and my tire pressure light came on my car. I quickly drove over there because that is the place that I usually have my oil changed. I asked the service guy sitting at his perch if there was someone that could check my tire pressure. He said they didn't have anyone that could do that. If anyone could, it would be at least a thirty minute wait. I then asked him if there was a chance I could borrow a tire gauge since I didn't have one with me. He replied that they were all being used. No offer to help me in any way. When I started going there for servicing they were always so helpful. In fact, I always felt a little spoiled by them. Today, I felt upset and definitely a little scared to get back in my car and drive 20 minutes back home with a compromised tire! PS.
