(See picture) 7/28/23 And AGAIN 10/4/25! -Got gum on floor of carpet, new car. 7/28/23. -Inquired about oil brand used, it's not OEM Honda oil, it's "Universal". (They charge extra for Honda oil at the Honda dealership). -Kept the car all day, to repair it. Then 7 minutes before closing called and said they didn't have the part needed. Schofield looks clean and professional but they are only mediocre. I wish it wasn't the case. They don't recommend Honda OEM services, they push BG Products to get the kickbacks which of course cost more. They are way overpriced!! read more

I had my catalytic converter stolen from my work parking lot last week and had it towed to Schofield, as that is who I bought my Pilot from and have always had do any work needed. Since it was gonna be there for a week or so, I also had the windshield replaced due to a rock last year. My service advisor Matthew Burr was amazing and went above and beyond. My car insurance has been extremely difficult and Matthew has helped promptly and with nothing but above and beyond help. I have had the East location do almost all my work since I bought the car in 2016 even though I live westside and every visit goes without a hitch. This visit was perfect from Honda's side and they even did everything they could to help me with the items they had no control over. I recommend them to everyone. We have bought 4 Hondas from Brandon Baalman (who also helped me with some paperwork for this situation and if you need a saleman there, ask for him) over the last 10 years and will be getting the next one from them as well. read more

I've purchased several vehicles from Scholfield over the years and expected better. This time, I was negotiating a 2025 CR-V Hybrid and was told they would work with me on the $600 dealer/admin fee. After I expressed that I couldn't justify the added fee, I received a message saying, "I think I can make that happen for you. Please let me know if we can make that work." I took this to mean the fee would be waived. Based on that understanding, I paid a $1,000 deposit. When I arrived to complete the purchase, the paperwork showed the fee was still there--just reduced to $300. Despite explaining the miscommunication, they insisted they had only ever offered to split it. To make matters worse, the new vehicle had a visible rock chip on the hood, which we had to point out ourselves. I even emailed Roger Scholfield personally to explain what happened and why it was disappointing, especially after buying from them for decades. I received no response. Ultimately, I walked away and bought elsewhere. The issue was never really about the money--it was about trust, and it was clear mine wasn't valued. I won't be back. read more

I've had nothing but trouble with this repair shop, and corporate! They do Not honor a manufacturers defect. Infotainment system went out, and over time our Honda Odessy kept having different recalls. They charged me for front monocular camera, when the real issue is a softwear problem. Heat and a glitch you fry the monocular front camera. Sliding door cables froze on me where it didn't open. They charged me for everything! Cooperate reviwed all and denied my claim for reimbursement. I wouldn't buy an Odessy till all the bugs are worked out. Terrible experience! I asked corporate for any and all documents used to arrive at their careless decision just to be told we don't give it out. Really upsetting they rip us off for warranty issue's. Just be advised before going there! Think I'm done with Honda. read more

I purchased a 2019 Honda CR-V and every time I took it back for oil changes there seemed to be an up sale. I changed the air filter, and the cabin filter a month prior to taking it in for an oil change and they came out and showed me a picture of an old filter that was falling apart. I said I would like to see the filter that I just changed it a month earlier. They could not produce that filter. I stopped taking it in for service because of their tactics. Secondly, I keep getting advertisements starting a year after I bought my car for me to trade it in for a new model. I get tons of every month and have contacted the General Manager Brad Cox twice asking to take my name off of their mailing list because it is getting really old. I am ready to get a restraining order against them to stop sending their ads. Every time I requested them to stop sending their ads I get more. It all falls on deaf ears. I don't know who is running that place, but the owner needs to take a look at replacing him because it has really gone to hell. I would not purchase a car from them or even get mine serviced there because they are not very trustworthy. It is the worst run car dealership I have seen in my life. read more

I wanted to give 5 stars so badly. I purchased a vehicle at the West location on Friday and things went downhill from there, it ended with Tyler Alderman saying you can bring the car back. All over car mats! I am BIG on customer service and would have been happy with even a small attempt to meet me in the middle. Funny thing is Scholfield Honda has always been my favorite Wichita car dealership, this would have been my fourth vehicle purchased at one of their dealerships. It's disappointing to see that my dollar is not valued. If I remember correctly Mr. Alderman said "there is no need to sully our reputation over this so you can just go ahead and bring the car back." If I could leave no stars, I would. I will first say I love my actual car. I bought a 2018 Toyota Sienna. However, less than one week after driving off the lot my brakes started grinding. I was told that during the inspection they were fine. How are they grinding if they are fine? A week later they started squeeking. I text my dealer again and he again acted like it wasn't his fault. Now, 2 months of owning my van it says it needs maintenance soon. How do I already need to preform maintenance, when the dealership told me it was done when I bought it? I call the dealership this time and was sent to the service desk, I speak w/ the service desk and they tell me that I need to speak w/ the dealer. I speak with the dealer and he tells me that the brakes and the maintenance is my responsibility. When I gave push back he told me he would have the used car manager give me a call. It has been 4 business days and I still have not heard from them. It's my assumption that they now have my $30,000 and do not care about me as a customer. My family has been buying from Schofield for years... and that is why I trusted to buy from them. I am so disappointed I spent that much money with them. I am a single mom of 4 and expected a good vehicle I could rely on from them. Instead, they sold me something that needed work done not even a week later. read more

I bought a used 2023 Jeep Gladiator truck from Scholfield on May 2nd, 2025, over at the Central and Tyler location. To begin with, this Gladiator jeep used to be a rental, and I had mentioned to our salesman Vic that I was skeptical about purchasing it being that it was in the hands of many people and God knows what kind of handling they had on the jeep as well as having a heavy foot. Our salesman Vic told us that the vehicle has been thoroughly inspected inside and out and trouble free and that they have excellent mechanics on their site. He even gave us a car fax report to reassure us. We haven't had this vehicle for 24 hours when we heard a ticking sound coming from the engine which immediately raised a red flag. We brought it back to Scholfield and told them that we were not happy with our purchase after we were reassured by Vic that the jeep was in top condition. They had to send our Jeep to Eddy's since Scholfield's "excellent mechanics" couldn't figure out the dam problem. Eddys had our vehicle for over a month without even looking at it after telling us that they only had 2 technicians. When I got the Jeep back from Eddys, it was missing the antenna, the wipers were all chewed up, and the engine cover was missing Finally, I told Scholfield to send it over to Davis Moore since Eddy's was doing nothing about it. Luckily, I had a power train warranty and Davis Moore had the jeep for less than a week and replaced the rocker intake and cam shaft. Scholfield never even offered us a loaner car after about 3 weeks without a vehicle, and I had to ask for one and they finally gave it to us. I reached out to Tyler, the sales manager over at Scholfield and asked him about some sort of compensation for the month and a half long ordeal and let alone, paying insurance for a vehicle we didn't have. Tyler only offered us 3 stupid oil changes, you can keep your oil changes buddy! We even got in touch with the General Manager; Brad and I was trying to explain the situation that they sold me a vehicle that was supposedly inspected but had major problems. He was of no help whatsoever along with being a smart ass and his bullshit attitude he can stick it! Their customer service is pure dog shit and I would NEVER deal with this joke of a fucking company EVER AGAIN! Buyers beware!!! read more

My wife took her car in for a recall. They did their vehicle inspection and said she needed a new cabin air filter. The problem with that recommendation is I just replaced the cabin air filter last month. They either didn't really look at the filter or were just dishonest like most service shops that always recommend replacing parts that don't need to be replaced. Service was wonderful and they send you the inspection via text to review and pictures with their recommendations. 10/10 in communications and customer service, pricing is fair and work is completed in a timely manor. Please for the sake of your time, car and mental health, don't get your car serviced here! If I could rate it no stars I definitely would, which is ironic considering I loved this place enough to purchase my car from here. I took my car in for a service on the window regulator, and going here was my biggest mistake and regret. During the whole 3 days that they kept my car, they never once reached out to me concerning what was going on with my car or the next steps I needed to take in getting it fixed. And when I got tired of waiting, I would reach out to them to only be told I would get called back and I never would. Not only that, but Shay the service manager decided to take the choice upon himself to put in an aftermarket regulator, that was doctored up to fit in my car. WITHOUT GETTING WITH ME FIRST. I didn't find out what they did until they were trying to check out for the service. All of that was bad, but on top of that THEY BROKE MY CAR HANDLE DURING THE TIME OF SERVICE. Shay (again the manager) said that it was fine because they fixed it. Without ever acknowledging the fact that they treated my car with little to no care. Then while checking out I had to bring up the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty for the work that they did, because I wasn't comfortable with what they chose to do to my car without consent. Shay said that they don't make an effort to bring the warranty up to people as well, which is honestly so dishonest and unethical. When people get their car serviced at a dealership like that, they should be completely aware of the option to come back concerning that specific service they got within that 12 month/12,000 mile window. I'm still in such disbelief with what happened there. I just know I will not be coming back unless something happens with my regulator for that warranty. I don't really write reviews, but I felt like I had an obligation to write one for this place. I just want to protect anyone from having a similar experience, because it was horrible. read more

Military Veteran, First Responder September 2022, I bought a 2018 Kia Optima with 52,000 miles for $20,000 (which was the highest market value of an issue/worry-free 18 KIA Optima w/52k miles) and in the first two weeks of owning the vehicle my wife said the engine was making a noise. Because I am busy, I did not get to check the vehicle for another week and decided to check the oil which was barely visible on the dipstick. I checked the oil again and it was low enough to where no oil was visible on the dipstick. I called Scholfield Honda and told them about the issue and they said to bring it in. I took the car in and the service writer wanted to charge $166 to confirm what I was telling them. I had to get a manager involved to waive the $166. They kept my car for the day only to return my car and confirm it was burning oil. I asked what to do with the vehicle and they said, "take it to Kia". I took the car to a Kia dealership and was instructed to drive the car 1k miles for an oil consumption test. Scholfield provides an unlimited mile powertrain warranty but did not offer to work on my car, conduct an oil consumption test or to reach out to Kia. Because Scholfield sent me on my way, I had to deal with the Kia dealership, have them do the work and get the warranty approved through Kia USA. My new car sat at Kia, with a 60 day tag, longer than we drove it. So, for the first two weeks of owning our new car the engine was shot and making noises. Scholfield would not honor any warranty and told me to take it to Kia because it still had a factory warranty. Kia evaluated the engine and said it would need to be replaced. Our new car sat at the dealership for 37 days until the engine was replaced. During the time my vehicle was getting a new engine, I asked the used car sales manager where this car came from and he said "it was bought at auction". I called and talked with the general manager and expressed my feelings toward auction vehicles and he said, "where do you think most of our used vehicles come from?" I asked for a different car, for a cash value return of my car (they said my car was worth $13,000, at auction, and could probably do $16,500) I asked for the $1500 I had to pay for a rental car while my car was getting a new engine. Scholfield rented and charged me for a rental car. I posted a review about this experience before and a representative from Scholfield called me about it. I removed the review hoping Scholefield would settle with me on this matter but such luck. Here it is April 9, 2023 and I still have the Kia, $1500 debt on my credit card and no resolve. So, my review is back and I hope customers can make an informative decision before buying a car from Scholefield Honda. The Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission, BBB or even Small Claims Court may help customers with similar situations with any dealerships. This situation involves: a vehicle with a warranty (meeting Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act), down vehicle more than 30 days and deceptive business practices customers need to be aware of. read more

Love my Honda, Scholfield not so great. New car came with undisclosed front end damage. Brakes have an annoying "clunk" that Scholfield was unable to repair. Purchased a new 2012 Civic in 2013, drove it for a few years until someone in a Walmart parking lot bumped into my front bumper. Very minor hit, but it did pop out the body putty from a previous repair. (body putty should never be used in a flexible bumper cover). Contacted Scholfield with no satisfaction. From the time the car was new, brakes have had a continued loud "clunking" sound. Noise is coming from the anti-lock device. It only occurs during very cold weather. Spoke with Scholfield four times, they replaced the vacuum assist unit which of course had no effect. Car went off warranty without resolving the problem, and it continues to this day, it never got better or worse. I like Honda, but would you like to see my new Toyota van? read more

If I could rate this place a 0/5 stars I most definitely would. I'd first like to start off saying I've been to Scholfield Honda numerous times. I bought my current vehicle through them, and was given a lifetime warranty. The only time I ever go here anymore is when I have a open recall or have an issue that I believe will be covered under the warranty. Other than that... DO NOT GO HERE. If you have a simple oil change... for the love of god please go somewhere else as you're more than likely going to save time and money. I took my car in early this morning for my appointment and am told that my car will be done towards the end of the day, that's no problem. However, I received no call or update by 4 pm so I decide to try and give them a call myself. A lady first answers and "redirects" me to the service department where nobody answers my call and I'm hung up on. I then decide since I'm coming home from work I'll stop in and try to get a quick update myself. The first thing I see when I walk in is 5 boys wearing orange vests standing there doing absolutely nothing. I'm assuming their job is to move the cars, but why do you need 5 people in order to do that? Then, there's only 2 people actually assisting customers. I stood there for 45 minutes before I gave up and decided to leave with zero update. The entire time the boys in the orange vests just stood there and didn't do a damn thing. Pathetic. To the guy and girl actually working the service desk I respect how hard they were busting their ass, but could you get them some damn help? Not only that, but I took my car in months before this and they told me my car had a worn wheel bearing that would be covered under the warranty. Great right? Well, not fucking really as I have to take my car in a second time cause they never fixed it and my car continued to make a buzzing sound until I took it in again. This review reflects on both Scholfield and Honda in general. In January of this year, I bought a brand new Honda Passport. About 2-3 weeks ago, I noticed a rough idling when I started the vehicle, then about 9 days ago, all kinds of warning lights came on, indicating an engine, transmission and brake issues. The vehicle had only 750 miles on it, so we took it to the dealership, as obviously it was under warranty. It has now been nine days that they have had it, and they can't get Honda to give them "permission" to tear into the motor, as the tech believes there is leaked radiator fluid inside the motor, from a bad head gasket. My issue with the dealership, is why can't they put pressure on Honda, to do what is necessary to find out the issue, and get it? So much for after sale service by a dealership! And to Honda, what has happened to your quality and reliability you have always held up in your advertising! Update after 18 days, I got my new Passport back. The Dealership, after getting Honda's approval,replaced the head, which evidently when it was cast, it was defective. The dealership did give me a Pilot to drive, while my vehicle was at the Dealership, so other than taking a while to get my vehicle back, and now wondering if the repairs will stand the test of time, I am satisfied. Thus the changing of my initial rating of one star to four stars. read more
