From the Gearhead Stunt Garage to the Cooperative Games I have never heard of, but knew of song and/sayings. Apparently these are now a game. Scented pencils are sold here and I think about the crayons that were Scented from when I was in school. The things that trigger memories from your past. The ambience, prices and cleanliness are at an all time high. It is a Saturday today and a lot of kids and parents are in the store. The people in here are well behaved. Each item is priced differently and the items are sorted by category and size. These thrift stores give you a 20% off coupon if you donate something. They also have 25% discount days on Mondays and Thursdays, so those days are pretty busy.

They were selling a small Willow tree angel for $14.99; you can get a new one at the Hallmark store in its box for that price or less. I also went into the aisle where they had random picture frames. The aisle was crammed with picture frames which were haphazardly arranged. visually it was unappealing and the art frames on the lower shelf were stacked in a way that they were inaccessible.So here is the dilemma; this is a junky thrift shop that is trying to pretend that it is a boutique and it is not happening. I am all in favor of supporting charity thrift stores but this store is unfairly pricing these donated goods such that the people who depend on thrift shopping to add special things or necessities cannot afford them. Unsure if maybe the order got lost in the shuffle, or perhaps someone else accidentally grabbed it, but it was nice that they quickly resolved the issue once it became known to them. The drink was okay, which I was fine with because the main appeal was supposed to be the Halloween-themed design. I realized too late that my drink didn't come with the chocolate syrup drizzled on top that others' did, which was unfortunate. The cafe was beautifully decorated, and it's clear that there was a lot of thought and heart put into the design. Located in the back entrance of a strip mall in Falls Church, Babylon Market is essentially a bodega where you can find halal meat, sweets, prepackaged foods, seasonings as well as artisanry (tapestries & decor). Said, the owner, runs the shop himself and is a really pleasant person. He remembered my boss from prior visits and took time to go over the different foods with me, even helping to pack them for flight. I'm certainly glad to have found this market.
