I love a combo SuperMarket / Tacoria and this is the place to get both.I needed some Aji Amarillo for my Seco recipe and didn't find any Peruvian products in my local stores!!So I googled it and this spot came up.I instantly headed out and they had all the products I needed and more the smell from the Taco spot that's inside the market was incredible and I instantly realized they were making their own tortillas yessss !! This place is the place to go if you're looking for some quality Mexican food or products that have been imported to help make your own cooking that much better. This is my go-to stop for some chorizo, crema fresca, or some of their many sauces that help spice up my kitchen. As for the Cocina Sofia inside....When they are in stock, their tamales are bomb! I mean, I used to get them in San Diego from the abuelita who sold them out of her van, and these are as close to those as I can find in the area. I was quite bummed the one time I came here and they were already sold out. Their tacos are also pretty solid, but must be eaten ASAP. I like to get a bunch to eat over the course of the weekend, but theirs don't hold up quite as well as some others, so eat immediately and enjoy! Also, it's quite hard to pass this place up on a Saturday. They're outside cooking the meats and the smell is just heavenly around their parking lot! The great plumes of smoke are also a great locator if you've never been and are looking where to turn in. read more

I must have driven by this place 100 times before I decided to venture in during the recent holiday break. I had just gotten back from TX and was craving those salty chili-lime snacks that are so abundant in the Lone Star State. Upon entering, one is greeted with the sweet aroma of grilled meat interlaced with the smell of fresh doughy desserts, pastries and breads coming out of the oven. I quickly found the various snack sections and loaded up on anything I could find that was labeled chili, lime, or chili-lime. I must have bought about 20 bags of various salty slices of Heaven. I could already imagine my fingers turning bright red once I ripped open those bags when I got home. With all of this sodium I needed something to wash it down with so I purchased several boxes and cans of Jumex brand juices, mainly the mango flavor. If you are in the Alpharetta/Roswell area and are looking for an authentic Mexican grocery store, this is your one stop shop! read more

Had no idea this place was here. Leaving work one day found this place looking for tacos. Driving by seeing smoke in the air immediately turned the car around pulled in and parked. On the weekends there is a guy (or two) out front grilling whole split chickens over wood logs. They do sell out trust me on this it took two weeks to get my hands on one! Beautiful color and tasty too are sold with nothing but salsa just ask for it. Fresh tortillas can be had as well as grilled veggies (sold separately) to make this a delicious meal. Chickens are a bit steap at $10.00 each but really are worth trying. read more

Being Mexican gives me an edge to give an opinion about this place. Yes, if looking for authentic Mexican groceries this is the place. The meat at the "carniceria" is fresh and great, I always ask for "Carne Al Pastor". The food at the little cafeteria is excellent and salsas are tasty, however just has a handful of dishes. I'll keep looking for one with a bigger menu, and in a "restaurant" form. El Chihuahuense. read more

We went in looking for authentic Mexican tacos and were not disappointed. There is a grocery store attached with every Mexican product you can think of plus produce that looked pretty good! We got a chicken taco, an asada, and two chorizo, plus a Mirinda (orange soda that is AWESOME) and a Mexican coke, of course! My favorite was the asada taco, followed by the chorizo and then the pollo, but all were very tasty, authentic, and with a squeeze of the spicy salsa in a ketchup bottle, spiced perfectly. They came with two tortillas each, which was needed as there was plenty of meat and stuff in each. VERY satisfied and will go back! Good selection of ethnic products. Love getting their seasoned steak and chicken. They're delicious. You can also buy a selection of prepared foods. It's tasty. oh. yum. We try lots of taquerias in the Woodstock/Canton/Roswell area and this is our favorite. .. But it is a taqueria so keep your expectations on decor, etc, relaxed. I should clarify that we are feeding a crowd so price is a major concern when we dine out as a family. This is a great family spot. Try the torta's. They are fabulous. Toasted roll with meat, sourcream, avacado, etc. Always fresh lime to squeeze on before you bite. The shrimp fajita's are delicious too. It's a supermercado and when the cook runs out of red pepper or onion you will see him go grab some fresh. Nothing pre-cut. It is also a carniceria so the meat is fresh from the butcher. Fab. For dessert, walk back to the coolers and grab a slice of tres leches cake. oh. and the kids like the french fries. Fresh, homey, very very casual. The tire store thing is new BTW. not sure how it adds to the ambiance but so far we've just laughed about it and stuffed ourselves full of authenic mexican food. read more
