Universal Park Hollywood has a section called Springfield. Springfield, the home of the Simpsons…read more No, I am not talking about Jessica and Ashlee. I am talking about Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Those Simpsons. And of course the town would not be complete without a Kwik-E-Mart. It is a super cute themed gift shop selling plushies, clothes, mugs, totes, magnets, Lard Lard Giant donut and canned Duff Beer energy drinks. The coolest souvenir was the Kwik-E-Mart employee name tag. They did not have my name. Awww. But they did have blank ones. I was told you can use a whiteboard pen to write in your name and it is erasable. Plus I looked about to see if they sell squishees (aka slurpees). Nope they do not. The gift shop decor was stinking cute, there were design details to look like a Kwik--E-Mart. Even though it gets shoulder to shoulder crowded in there, take the time to look at all the design elements. There was even a statue of Millhouse sitting on a bench outside of the Mart. It was hard to take a photo because folks were actually using it as a bench to sit 'n rest a spill. The Lard Lad donuts are pre boxed. You can get fresh ones at the Lard Lad donut shop. If you want the real deal Duff Beer, you can get those at Moe's Tavern.

Gotta love Universal for going the extra mile for the theming and attention to details. The cashier is located in the middle and there's some limited items here that you can't get in other places in the park that are Simpsons themed. Staff are friendly and answered our questions (we were trying to find Dramamine for my boyfriend who got sick from the ride). If you want Simpsons themed merch, this is the place to get it. I was trying to find the Chippos plushie (I love that mascot and I remember always liking it even after the short mention in the episodes), only to realize that it's only winnable through the carnival games. Drat!

I also like the floor length mirror, so you can take selfies. hehe Service was good. They were very friendly and said hello when I entered. It seemed like a decent value for items here, based on Universal Studios prices.

All the magic wands!!!…read more I had to drag my husband out of here so he wouldn't buy everything lol He was on the hunt for a new wand. I let him pick one out- one only lol He wanted all of them. Service was really good. They helped us find the perfect wand for my husband. I was looking at Voldemort's wand- that one looks super cool!!! I think the value is there, it's worth it. The wands are made really well, and they do last a long time. As long as you take care of the wands, they will last awhile. This store is seriously like zoo filled with wands, instead of animals. It was pretty crowded when I went inside. There's so many wands, lots of apparel, and movie momentos to see and purchase. Years ago, I'd bought my kids some of the interactive wands they sell here. The wands are used at designated areas of the Harry Potter World and trigger an interactive experience in the shops or at the train station, etc. When we got our passes, my kids dusted off their wands and wanted to take them to the park on our first visit. We noticed...nothing was happening with them. So an employee said we could take them to Ollivanders and have them "examined". The skeptic in me just knew they were going to tell me we'd have to buy new wands. The employee took their wands to the back and worked their magic, and much to my surprise, they said they were able to get them back online and they were good to go! So thankful for their help and ability to save me some money and add to my kids' enjoyment of the day!

I only got to try it because she wasn't able to finish it. You can order the ice cream in a cup, a waffle cone or a souvenir cup. Lines were long the day we went but moved quickly. It was a toss up between XXS-XS so if u want size reference, my bf who's 5'10 felt the L-XL fit him decently. Depending on what size u get determines price at least for the robes I noticed the larger the size the more it cost. Robe $119 XS $139 XL, scarf $40, tie $39, headband $20, cardigan $90. They also offer embroidering for an extra $20 of your name per item.

Stocked with plenty of food spots spanning from fast food to sit down eateries to donut shops and treats galore. You'll find a Hello Kitty Cafe & Store, Voodoo Donuts, Starbucks, Buca Di Beppo, Pink's Hot Dogs and ALOT more. Add the huge amount of gift shops and specialty shops and you cal spend hours here! My personal favorite spots are the Nintendo Store, Universal Studios gift shops, and the NBA Store. There's soooo much merch and tempting options. Come prepared to spend, yet practice self-control. Lots of the hubs in CityWalk are pricey, don't expect cheap finds, it's a tourist spot after all. Not in the mood for shopping? There's a movie theater smack in the middle of the action. My parents told me it's gotten a little run down as of late, but it's still open for reason. They have large screens and it's a Universal staple. CityWalk is mostly known as the gateway to Universal Studios Hollywood. You can walk right up to the Universal gates once you reach the end of CityWalk. Some people come in and out of the park to have lunch at CityWalk or an end-of-day dinner. I highly recommend both options. Overall, CityWalk is kept clean and the pavement is consistently power washed. Some shops have better service than others, but I've never really had a terrible experience at any of the stores or eateries. My only gripe would be the industrial food court area. It's a little dated. I've also noted construction, I really hope greed doesn't win and we get to keep CityWalk! I've been coming here since I was a kid.

Again, another must if you're visiting Universal Studios AND a SUPER MUST if you're a Nintendo fan…read more I only recently got to visit after several years and like the rest of the "Nintendo Land", I was blown away by this gift shop. Super high ceilings, incredibly themed and detailed with decor and small details (pipes to hold plushies?? Genius). I visited during Fan Fest nights and it was a bit more crowded with a decent line but makes sense since the Mario Kart ride feeds into the shop and people were already lingering around after meeting the colorful Yoshis. Despite the line, the workers were very friendly, did their work with a smile, and were efficient. There is A LOT of merchandise here. Of course, there's the classic Mario characters like Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, etc. but you also have some other dedicated areas for other characters like Boo (friend got a cute reversible Boo beret) and other enemies like the Shy Guys and Bomb-Ombs, and characters from other franchises like Pikmin! Super cute. They also apparently have Chef Toad merchandise (a lot of it for the Toadstool Cafe) and I guess he doesn't exist elsewhere in the franchise? Pretty rare and neat. Lots of cute headbands, plushies, clothes, accessories, toys, and I know that since not only is the IP originally Japanese but the fact that the merchandise is the same from USJ makes the design much more cute and pleasing (at least to me). Prices range from reasonable to a bit more hefty (but makes sense if you're getting a giant Yoshi plushie). Friend got some Boo goods because unless you order online or secondhand, it'd be hard to get. I'll definitely visit again1
