Again, another must if you're visiting Universal Studios AND a SUPER MUST if you're a Nintendo fan. I only recently got to visit after several years and like the rest of the "Nintendo Land", I was blown away by this gift shop. Super high ceilings, incredibly themed and detailed with decor and small details (pipes to hold plushies?? Genius). I visited during Fan Fest nights and it was a bit more crowded with a decent line but makes sense since the Mario Kart ride feeds into the shop and people were already lingering around after meeting the colorful Yoshis. Despite the line, the workers were very friendly, did their work with a smile, and were efficient. There is A LOT of merchandise here. Of course, there's the classic Mario characters like Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, etc. but you also have some other dedicated areas for other characters like Boo (friend got a cute reversible Boo beret) and other enemies like the Shy Guys and Bomb-Ombs, and characters from other franchises like Pikmin! Super cute. They also apparently have Chef Toad merchandise (a lot of it for the Toadstool Cafe) and I guess he doesn't exist elsewhere in the franchise? Pretty rare and neat. Lots of cute headbands, plushies, clothes, accessories, toys, and I know that since not only is the IP originally Japanese but the fact that the merchandise is the same from USJ makes the design much more cute and pleasing (at least to me). Prices range from reasonable to a bit more hefty (but makes sense if you're getting a giant Yoshi plushie). Stopped by the super Nintendo store while I was at Universal Studios and it was so adorable. The store itself is quite large and they have an amazing selection of items. Everything is on theme, which is super cute. They have all the latest gear for each of the characters while everything is on the expensive side. They are all authentic super amazing quality. Oh my gosh! The store is adorable. They have it all. Anything your heart could desire related to super Nintendo items. They sell the player one and player two T-shirts here, along with a lot of Super Nintendo character accessories. You can find pretty much any character part of like the super Nintendo world. I found some Yoshi items. Even Boo the ghost! I found the cutest coin purse, that was Boo. It was adorable!!! I had to have it. Value wise, the prices weren't terrible. They are going to be higher for in the park and being in Super Nintendo World. I did find some cheaper items like keychains and tiny plushies that were not horribly priced. Service was great. They were friendly and wanting to help. This is a must-hit store in Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios! read more

I did not know that this store existed at CityWalk. A store just full of cute Nintendo stuff from Nintendo World. Everything from clothes to plushies, water bottles, and toys. It was all beautifully decorated, and it looked like something out of the game. I immediately fell in love and was enjoying just browsing around and checking out all the cool stuff that's available inside the parks. I think it is great that this store is available outside the main park so that those who want some merchandise from Nintendo World can get it here or those that never had a chance to go back inside the store to purchase before leaving the park. I found it impressive. I only wish it was bigger; Nintendo World deserves a big store and land. What a great addition to CityWalk. read more

This is for the Super Nintendo World store at City Walk which I don't see a Yelp page for it. This store has essentially the same merch as the one inside Nintendo World. Lots of t-shirts, headbands, and plushes. The giant Yoshi plushes are definitely tempting. You can also get the Nintendo wristbands here to utilize at the Nintendo World games. It's a bit pricey otherwise I'd buy more. But the staff are great and nice. read more

I've been playing Super Mario Brothers since it was first released on the NES. Finally, my husband and I were able to book a quick trip to Universal Studios Hollywood to see Super Nintendo World!! On our first evening, a Wednesday, we decided to walk around Universal City Walk! While exploring City Walk, we stumbled across the Super Nintendo World Store! It was amazing walking through the store and looking at all of their merchandise that Universal Studios Hollywood had to offer. There was even a photo op location where you could stand and take a picture of yourself hitting one of the "special ? boxes" from the Super Mario Brothers games!! The store has so much apparel! You'll see shirts themed after some of the favorite characters from the video game series such as Boo, Bowser, Yoshi and so much more! There are a lot of pins, plushies, backpacks, hats, keychains for sale. There was even some decal stickers for your vehicles as well! I almost bought the bullet bill decal! Some of their hats were super cute. They had a Goomba and a Toadstool hat! We were looking for some of the power up bands though to get ourselves ready for Super Mario World at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday. I ended up getting the Mario themed power up band and my husband got the Yoshi one! It was pretty expensive for both bands, but I guess it's required to play the mini-games in the themed area at the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park! The experience was awesome and I'd highly recommend visiting this store if you missed purchasing any merchandise in the Super Nintendo World at Hollywood Studios. A memorabilia shop to all things Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toad and Browser the originals of the Nintendo and Super Nintendo... Power up as player one or two with cool shirts, caps, costumes, collectable cups, packs(backpacks), pins, toys, and more! The store has a wide layout though it can get congested near checkout. The service is welcoming and the prices are reasonable. I do wish they had a few more characters and games in the mix like Kirby and Zelda, while not as popular as Mario, definitely just as mainstream and likeable. I definitely saw some great gift ideas for my nephews, niece and brother as well as some fun things for other friends and Nintendo enthusiasts I'd double back for. Being brand new like the year I'd expect some small shifts and updates to happen with time in terms of items available and/or seasonal attire for clothing. Overall a pretty colorful store to, "collect coins, earn a free life, spit fireballs and level up." Note: It's a quick ride up on the tram from below. I often take the LA Metro Redline or local city Metro bus over, cross the bridge and enjoy the breezy ride to the top though you can definitely park, pay and enjoy, if driving up. Rideshare lets off toward the back end of CityWalk or toward the front entrance for Universal Studios. read more

We were so excited that they were opening the park soon and got even more excited to find out that they have a store in CityWalk!! We immediately went when we found out. No wait line or anything to get in. It was busy but not super crowded. We've been twice since it first opened and we're pleased to see that they had new items the second time we went (about a month or so apart). This is located across Sephora and the bright colors make it hard to miss. Tons of plushies, apparel, figures, candy, keychains, and many more inside!! I honestly just wanted all the Boo merch. I was happy to get my hands on the Boo headband and was surprised to see they were sold out the second time we went!! What a beautiful store filled with amazing items! I walked away with the Yoshi headband! It was very adorable seeing all the decor related to the Mario franchise. The staff were helpful and friendly! There was so many items from plushies to shirts to keychains to the PowerUp Bands. My headband was only $20, which to theme park pricing was a steal! Loved it! This store is crazy fun. I could have spent a fortune in here on Mario themed stuff. Only issue is that they were out of stock on a bunch of things. A friend had asked me to pick up a few goodies while I was there, and I was only able to get a couple of them because of all the sold out items. read more

She said here, then sent me to stand in line where no one was in line or at the register.
