With fresh veggies it was moist & so tender! They now have a loyalty card which I got today. Plus they now carry my fav brand of ice cream & dairy items by Prairie Farms. I shop exclusively at Sunflower now that Greers has added a 10% surcharge on all their groceries (even premarked items). I do miss the deli but hopefully Rameys will put one in the poplarville store. Happy, friendly people work here...they greet every customer unlike Greers cashiers who rather text or chat amongst themselves. I haven't steppped foot in Greers since I was ripped off to tune of $18.96 on my grocery bill the 1st week they became "cash savers". Looking forward to shopping again next week at Sunflower/Rameys :)

I went to Ramey's Marketplace today for the first time. It was previously a Sunflower grocery…read morestore. What I found there was a actual butcher, employees who were polite, courteous, and eager to help you find what you need, as well as management staff working alongside their associates . Everyone, staff and customers alike all had smiles on their faces. The prices were reasonable, the meat was fresh, and it was well stocked. It is an older store but it was clean and well situated/organized. Store Specials begin every Friday and you can view the circular online as well as make out your list. My total bill was $129 and I got good quality food including canned, frozen, fresh meat and fresh produce. I am disabled and on a fixed income. I was able to manage this store and that means the world to me.. Parking was right in front and one of the associates put the items from my cart to the conveyor belt, bagged them, and then loaded them in my car!!!!!!! I didn't even have to ask! This is a true blessing. I am definately going to be a regular customer. Thank You Ramey's Marketplace!

This time, Rouses seemed a little....what's the word....untidy. It had a weird funk inside that was not food related. I went to the salad bar to make a salad for lunch, and it was disappointing- the lettuce was wilty, the cheeses were hard from sitting out so long, the pasta salads looked close to having dysentery. Everything looked old, like it was at the very end of the time it should be on the table, so I decided against the salad and wound up buying a whole muffuletta to share with my mom and sister. That was just ok, I found it to be very dry. I perused the aisles and bought a few things I cannot get back home in south Florida, including some Hubig's pies for the family, especially my dad who said he loved those as a kid. I was sticker shocked to see that they were almost $3 each! Seems a lot of the prices at Rouses are astronomical compared to Walmart, Aldi and Winn Dixie. The cashier that checked me out was a younger guy who was not pleasant at all. He just stared blankly at me as I tried to greet him. He didn't even offer a "thank you" or "have a nice day." Really disappointing because 99% of the time when I am in Mississippi, people are very friendly, as opposed to south Florida where they're all cranky. Would I go back next time I visit? Probably. Would I buy a lot of stuff? Maybe. Would I visit the salad bar again? Definitely not.

My sister and I had a horrible experience with a cashier at the register we checked out at…read morerecently. There was a customer ahead of us with 2 items and I asked the Cashier before we started loading our groceries onto the belt if she would use her hand-held scanner to scan the heavy items in our cart and she said, "I can only help one customer at a time"! So we patently waited until it was our turn, we were just standing there with nothing loaded on the belt waiting to see if she was going to scan the heavy items in our cart as we had requested but nothing as she starred at us full of attitude so I ask again, "can you use your hand held scanner to scan the heavy items in our cart" and she tapped her finger on her conveyor belt and said "you can just put them up here", I was like WOW! So, we did, and then we finally got to the end and time to pay, and the credit card scanner was freezing up and after approximately 8 tries I looked up at the Cashier for help only to watch her standing they're literally laughing at us with her arms crossed! Embarrassed and frustrated at this point I asked her "what the "F" are you laughing at" and very quickly she stopped laughing and uncrossed her arms. At this point I told her to go get her damn manager and she did! The shift manager came to the register hit a button on the register and my card worked, I guess the joke was on us. The shift manager didn't know why she refused to scan the heavy items in our cart but stated she was gonna talk to her about that, we were never offered an explanation to why we were treated the way we were or a simple apology! The Store owner and manager simply told us their register camera don't record audio only video, so our horrible experience never happened. Worse experience with a Cashier anywhere in my lifetime and I'm in my 60's. A couple days later I went back to the store for groceries and the Store Owner Steve Fecke followed me out the store to inform me he was banning me from his store for using a curse word and still refused to offer us an apology as did the store manager for the way we were treated by his Cashier, simply amazing!
