Brought my vehicle in for a smog check and was using a Groupon for a $30 charge. I was charged $60, because of the small print on Groupon. Poor customer service if you have to hide other details in small print to charge customers a higher price. Smog check is a smog check is a smog check, car or SUV. TOTAL SCAM!!!! Run away from this place as fast as you can. Everything out of the owner's mouth was a lie...like he thought this was my first smog or something? Make believe fees that I have never paid anywhere else and after I questioned them, go figure, he came back with a failed test and was happy to show me the new "crack " in my Mercedes air intake sleeve. [Ha. I helped someone with a jump a couple weeks ago and this "crack" wasn't there. This part is very visible on the top front of the engine. I showed my husband when I got home and he was like, it's not even feasible that it broke like that.] I 100% believe he tampered with the part. And then, even more weird, I looked at my paperwork, as I was leaving, and it said I passed everything!?!?!?!?! When I asked what's going on...he said he "accidentally hit the pass button". Uh, OK. I don't generally review, but if I can save one person from this scam business........DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! UPDATE: Yelp alerted me to the owner's response, and while the lies are infuriating, I'm going to choose the high road. This place just opened and won't last long once people catch on. This is a criminal enterprise. I bought a Groupon for $30 and assumed I would have to pay the certification fee. They charge an extra $30 because I have an SUV, so instead of this costing $38.25, it was $68.25. I missed it when they charged my credit card because I didn't realize I already paid Groupon the $30. You can get you car smoked for much, much less elsewhere. Do not give these people your business. read more

Contacted the owner whom was quick to respond. He stated how long the process would take after confirming my vehicle's year make model. Location is really close off the 78 which makes it super convenient for locals and is easy to find/navigate to. As soon as I pulled into the garage, the owner came out and reconfirmed how long the short process would take (which was about 10minutes). Really friendly, relatable and helpful. I definitely would recommend everyone to get smogged certified there. Just a heads up, there is a slight incline to tackle when pulling into the garage. I also recommend confirming how busy they are prior to going because I believe overflow/waiting parking would be in the lot prior to the driveway entrance of the smog station. They weren't busy when I went so I was able to pull straight into the garage when I arrived. read more

Questions answered over the phone. Passed Smog test. Was quoted around $35; I had a coupon, which they said they would honor. All came to $40 UNTIL taxes, etc. added AND because they are a STAR station[which the DMV requires now for certification] an extra $10....total cost for smog check, 2021, $50. There's more. Gave me a receipt and credit card was charged $55.88...some other added sales tax and "convenience" tax charge. Over half a hundred dollars for a smog test [after paying $150 just to register my old car!] Don't Go Here! Other smog test stations are legit and honest. These folk are NOT! read more

I went with a coupon, but it's not really worth it to seek them out specifically because they add fees for literally everything. We paid for a groupon for a smog at this startion. Group said $8.25 Plus $1.25 extra, for the certificate and transmission fee. They told my husband it was an extra $20 for a STAR Certification. So they charged him $33.53 EXTRA, on top of the groupon. The receipt says $30 for smog test, $2.33 tax sand an additional $1.20 convienience fee. When I called to tell tyhem they overcharged us, he argued that it was a DMV requitrment to charge for the STAR fee. I explained I know thats not true and after quite a bit of argument, he told me I could come back and get a refund for the $33.53 and tyhen only pay the $10 for the certificate and service fee. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! If you do, make sure you know they will try to charge you extra ands dont let them. read more
