I've been coming here for years- the staff has changed but the quality of their service hasn't. I've never waited to get into a bay and the oil changes take no time at all. This time, I needed a few filters changed. They showed me how dirty they were and I opted for the one which is harder to change. I can do the other one myself. They also told me what's coming up next and how long it would take. I've always found the service techs to be honest. Get on their email list and they'll send you coupons. Even if you don't, they always have a deal or something behind the counter they can apply. Just ask if there's a coupon or something. They have free wifi. The password is posted in the waiting area. *Jiffy Lube fell-short* I'll keep it brief, took my car if for an oil change. And the three days later I noticed oil spots in my garage. It's a newer car low miles so I don't think it's was a car issue. So my next assumption was jiffy lube. I took the car in and the guy started the who ever did the oil change didn't clean the mess they made when changing the oil so when the small pool of oil would heat up it would drip onto the floor. Nevertheless this was disappointing and a waste of time and money to drive back and forth total of one hour total so that I can have this issue resolved. read more

Not amazing. Pulled up and my truck automatically set off the bell. Took the guy 2-3 minutes to come up from below. He couldn't have been less enthusiastic to help me. Additionally, I guess it was bring your kid to work day because a little girl who was about 10-11yrs old skipped through the bay after him and hung around while my oil was getting changed. That doesn't seem ideal. Then he said I couldn't stay in the truck for the service at this location. Fine but I read reviews where that was an option. The total for a synthetic oil change is $132 out the door and they don't even go over the air filter or show you the dip stick with the new oil. Expensive. read more

I got my Lyft Uber inspections here for years for $19.99 This time they wanted double! $39.99. When I asked to talk to the manager he told me it's gone up due to inflation. I said double ???? He said our techs make $150 an hour. I shook my head and said that's just bad business to gouge people for a 5 min job of checking my turn signals. At $40 that's $480. I won't be back. For this or any other service jiffy lube offers. Update other local places nearby that used to be $19.99 are now $24.99. Much more reasonable increase. Also they offer signing up for a credit card and if your approved or not the inspection is FREE. Just say no to price gouging. read more

Update: After submitting a formal complaint via Jiffy Lube's corporate office, the Franchise owner, Paul or Poya called me on 12/15 and apologized. He offered to have me stop in at another location in Escondido to have my car air filter replaced. ---- I'd give this place zero stars if I could. (Quick note: If you're Black, this location may not be safe for you - proceed with caution.) I arrived today for an oil change and was greeted by Jay. I'm using the term "greeted" loosely as I approach the drive-up bays, and was given a look, then pointed to the far left bay. When I pulled up with my mask on, Jay, said "Oil Change?" After telling him yes, he proceeded to ask questions about my vehicle. I replied to them all, being extremely polite. He asked if I wanted to stay in the car - I did. He told me what the total would be and I told him I had a Groupon. He said, "I'll get that at the end of the transaction." Anyway, you know how you normally hear them doing a bunch of talking? Wasn't much being said. You know how they typically show you your oil level, air filter, etc.? NOPE! I requested to see my air filter and when I looked at it, I was like "I can't tell if that's good or bad." Jay's response "yeah, it's dirty." Strange because "ok" was listed on my receipt. You know how they normally ask you to step on your brakes so they can check them? Nopeeee. You know how they normally check tires? They weren't going to but when I raised the point, they did. They were overfilled though because I checked when I got home. In fact, the employee with glasses doing the work didn't even say anything to me except "can you turn the vehicle on?" Then, when done, he said "it's all you from here, Jay." You know how they will offer to check your cabin filter? Didn't do that either. Ohhhh and then he refused to accept my gift card despite their site saying they were accepted, noting that "he wouldn't even know how to accept that." I tried showing him the number and had the physical copy but he declined it. I thought maybe he was having a bad day or something, then a non-Black customer arrived. Guess who put their mask on? Jay. Guess who greeted the man with "hey, how's it going? What can I do for you today?" Jay. Hmmmm, what a clear picture that painted. I was left to sit for 10 minutes as Jay chummed it up with the customer he was happy to serve. This experience was trash. I eventually asked Jay if he hated Black people to which he responded "sorry you feel that way - I don't know what to tell you." Thankfully, Groupon understood when I explained it to them. It's probably also important to note that Jay was coughing every time he went into the office. And again, HE HAD NO MASK ON. At this point, I'm scared to drive my car. There was leaking that wasn't there before when I parked back home in Mira Mesa. I'm livid and concerned in more ways than one. read more

after getting the first oil change on my brand new car All of the oil leaked out because they put the gasket on wrong for the oil filter. Claimed that the new gasket broke. I drove 4 miles with the oil pouring out of the engine. It's been two weeks and the owner can not be reached. They likely ruined my new engine. They need to take responsibility for repairs or diagnostics at a qualified repair center. The independent owner will not respond.. Do not take your car here! There is multiple tracks of oil leaving this business. Apparently, it happens often. It was smoking so badly it damaged my lungs. read more

I've taken my third car here recently, and received quick, thorough, and comprehensive service. What I like best compared to other Jiffy Lube's was that they never try to push a bunch of new products on me like other locations have done. These guys simply did what they were requested to do with a great attitude And provided recommendations for future service. Whoever the manager is at this location, hats off to your guys. read more

As others have pointed out the Lyft inspection is now almost $40! Why would the price double for the same service? Oil change prices have not doubled in the last year for example. When the service was complete they did not even call my phone. Service was a bit unfriendly as well. read more

This was a perfect storm. I came in for an oil change. They started it well enough, the attendant had the personality of a boulder. Ok, whatever he's not chatty. Oil change is finished, they don't check any of the lights, they don't show me the oil level, they don't ask me to reset the oil life setting. These are all forgivable. I drive my car away and before I get 1/4 mile away, something is scrapping below the car. Obviously I know where this sudden mishap came from. I get under and the skid plate was not reconnected and it was jamming into the road when I drove. I slowly get back to Jiffy Lube, and without looking at the issue, asks me to get back into the bay. Well, there is a bar that further damages the skid guard, now I can neither go forward or backward without it obviously scraping really bad. After finally getting a jack and looking at it, we decide to back the car into the bay to allow them to access from the bottom. The entire staff goes into the pit, and 10 minutes later the tech comes up and says they removed the skid guard. I ask how important is that? He says it isn't that important (which, I will say google confirms if you are driving a commuter car in Southern CA). So I'm sitting there looking at him for 3 seconds and I say "So I just go?" and he says "yeah you're good". No apology, no offer of anything else, no one guides me out of the bay... So I go. I was in the market for an oil change. BACKGROUND: I made a recent location change and was looking for a new one-stop (auto mechanic ) shop. SPOILER: I found one! I asked several close friends for their recommendations in the area and two noted Jiffy Lube. One of those, particularly mentioned this Norte Parkway location. MORE: I'm so thrilled I came here today! Staff (special shout-out to Sergio G.) was helpful/ attentive from the START. They welcomed me an hour before closing (I wasn't sure I would be attended) and the service was spectacular. Parking was more than easy to find, they also have entrances at both ends of the building. It seems like they run a very efficient shop! The waiting area could be invested in a little bit more, but tbh the service is so short that you're not even there long enough. I'm so grateful for the service and overall attentiveness. I'm so ready to commit to this Jiffy Lube for all future auto needs! read more

Where to begin . . . . First, when I pulled up to the facility, there was no one to meet me. So after about 2 minutes, I started to leave the facility and was flagged down to drive into the bays. Second, as I was driving into the bays, the manager told his staff to SELL, SELL, SELL today and to not forget to ask people about upgrading the ticket for a tire rotation. Now no one wants to hear about high pressure tactics coming at you. Third, when presented about the bill, I asked about the $7 "special charge" which I was told to ignore as it was part of the "oil filter charge" and just gets rolled into things . . . so don't worry about it. To me, this is an unexplained fee to GOUGE the customer. They would NOT tell me what it was for. See picture of invoice that I included. Fourth, they didn't reset my "Maintenance Required" button and I had to do that at a later time when I could look on the internet on how to do it. Fifth, they said they were out of stickers that indicate when the car was serviced, but told me I would sent my trip computer to track it if I wanted to. Seriously . . . a lube place without reminder stickers. Sixth, the bill indicated that the windows were washed. . . well, they were NOT. Seventh, the price Jiffy Lube charges for an oil change is astronomical. Without the $15 coupon, it would have been $125!! I usually get a full syn oil change with tire rotation and car wash included for around $95 at a dealer. Finally, I'm not sure I trust the work at this facility and will likely have it redone elsewhere . . . the facility says under new management, but I'm not sure this management is any different. Came here for a quick oil change. Service was prompt and the staff was friendly. I used my Yelp coupon which brought the $70+ bill down to around $60. This maybe a little high for an oil change but I did opt for a high-mileage synthetic blend for my 2010 Scion Tc. Yes it's a diesel and takes 15 quarts, but the dealership charges $169 for the same oil change. The dealership rotates the tires too. I got here at 4:30 pm and waited outside. When no body acknowledged me, I went into the office and no one was there, I couldn't see anyone in the garage either. It was getting late so I decided to go to Valvoline instead of waiting for someone to show up. Once at Valvoline, they tell me that my canister cup is too tight and ask who did my last oil change. I told them Jiffy Lube. They said that because it was so tight (and the lack of lube) they wouldn't be able to take the cup off because they couldn't be held liable. They recommended that I come back to Jiffy Lube since they are the ones that did my last oil change. I arrive back at Jiffy Lube to find that they have closed more than 1/2 an hour early! read more
