These guys are like miracle workers. I recently inherited my dad's 1966 Lincoln Continental convertible, and the car was in ROUGH shape. My dad is now 84 and hasn't been able to keep up with the maintenance on the old car for years. So when it came to me, it was in way worse shape than I thought. These guys have done a lot of minor stuff on my cars in the past (tire rotation, oil change, etc...), so I called them to see if they could help a lady out. I talked to Scott at length about the car's issues and he was very helpful and said they have a guy, Steve, who specializes in classic cars. I was so relieved. So we took the Lincoln over to them and within a few days we had an estimate for repairs. Unfortunately, like I said, the old car needed a LOT, LOT, LOT of work. It took Steve and Scott about 12 weeks to chase down all the parts and complete repairs. But I now have a classic car in perfect running order! And she's so beautiful. Are they expensive? Yes. Are they worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!! This was definitely a "you get what you pay for" situation. They are very professional, take pride in their work, and do it right. This auto shop cannot be trusted. Had gone to them to get some work done on my truck, these people will nickel and dime you for every little thing from "Perform Drive Cycle and Monitor Relearn Procedure" which they don't do because when you take your vehicle to get smogged? Surprise, none of your sensors are working. When you question them about the part they replaced because a different issue arose from the last time they "fixed" your vehicle but the issue is related to the part they replaced? "Oh we didn't check that when we did our diagnostics." These people are dishonest, Mitchell has no integrity or honor. First time at the shop been going to a different shop in San Marcos for 20 years but they closed won't come here again. Paid three times why would've had my old shop. Nice people working here but at times like this when you're trying to save money this is not the place to go to get your vehicle fixed. My front tires on my 2007 Lexus ES350 showed unusual tire wear that caused a flat at the most in opportune time. After getting both front tires changed, my tire professional highly recommended that I get an alignment down on all 4 wheels. Yelp! to the rescue!!! After the tire replacement, I immediately went to 5th Ave Auto Service where I was met and helped by a young man, whose name I'm sorry has escaped me, to arrange for an appointment the next morning for an alignment. When I showed up for the appointment, the same young man (it's amazing I can say that now that I'm a senior citizen) was there to greet me and help me. In no time flat the alignment was down, the adjustments were explained to me and I was out the door. And the cost: a little over $100 (I can't remember because I'm a senior citizen now) !!! Yelp recommended this place for smog test with a very competitive price. I noticed the owner Mitch offered a suggestion to customer to ensure their car is not "smog star" required. From that I already feel very good about the shop being so considerate. The visit to the place was another surprise, front door greeting was very warm and a nice waiting room with oil painting on the walls. Mitch said it was done by his dad, very artistic family. This shop was either incompetent, or deliberately deceptive, while handling my car. I ran out of fuel due to a faulty gauge, and I thought it was a more serious issue, so I had my vehicle towed here. They told me they put 4 gallons of gas in, but that it was still running rough, and that the pump needed to be replaced. In reality, they put half a gallon in at most, despite charging me $30 for 4. The attached photo shows only .3 gallons left in the tank after driving ~2 miles to the gas station. It ran fine after filling it up, and I've driven it 500 miles since without issue. The parts costs were ridiculously inflated, they tacked on $280 in parts costs over the OEM pricing! I got a quote from another shop for the same repairs minus the battery & it was $900. Avoid this shop if you're not knowledgeable about cars, because they will try to rip you off. Edited review after owner comment, my previous one had an inaccurate quote. Also, I didn't check the fuel level on the gauge, the attached photo is from the gas pump! Unless you idled it for an hour, that's not $30 in gas read more

Great customer service from both Mitch and Scott. The place is clean and organized. I really enjoyed the art pieces they chose.
