The service was great, too!
Normally, this would be a five star review.
"But why, Brian, is it not," you ask?
Many of you may know that my wife uses a wheelchair, so that is usually first on my mind when visiting any establishment. We check to see if it says its accessible. And Wood Fire said it was! Yay!
Except, well, sort of yes, sort of no.
We were able to get in the door. The first door, to the outside covered seating area. No chance of getting in the second door into the building proper, because that had stairs. But that was ok. It was a nice night out and we were happy to sit in the covered outside area.
But is a place really accessible if the toilets are not?
Not only would the stairs have been an issue, but there's no way her wheelchair could have navigated through the restaurant to the back, and once there, forget it. Way too small and narrow for a chair to get in there.
So yeah, great food, nice people, we had a good time. But I'm not sure "accessible" is accurate.
