I booked a haircut appointment with Taghreed aka Taggy back on September 21st, 2016. When I walked in there was one other person waiting but they honored my online appointment so I didn't have to wait. This was my first time at this Supercuts Store. Taghreed listened to what I wanted and she meticulously cut my hair as I requested. I just got a simple Men's Haircut. My hair is thick and not the easiest to cut. I asked her to make it look neat and professional without making it look like I'd just had my ears lowered. She took the time to make sure everything was just right. dreadful, I wanted 'half off all over'. nope. I feel like I got the hair cut the 'cutter' wanted to give, not the other way around. The sides were short, the top barely touched . There was zero eye contact, zero communication, no 'check in' at the end...Next! Worse they are 2$ more than the competitor across the street (to whom I will go back to). Just dreadful, thankfully hair grows back, I assume there is high turnover here... read more

I went here to get blonde highlights and a cute pixie cut. Long story short, when I finally got back to the chair, about 2 hours later, my hair was orange!!. The colorist used color, toner, shampoo and more toner I believe. Now I color my hair at home and have for 15 years and it always looks pretty good. I can do this for less than $20. After spending $65 and having orange hair, I didn't get the haircut I showed her a picture of. So, basically I am out $81.00. I will not mention the colorists name out of simple respect but I should get a refund when I leave with orange hair that looks like someone put a bowl on top of my head and cut around it. It's unfortunate that I couldn't get refunded cause they lost 2 customers that get haircuts every month so they could have made up the money in 2 months. Bad way to do business!! read more

This is the only place I will take my 8-yeson to get his hair cut. They do a good job. My husband loves coming here also. They do a great job cleaning up his beard and cutting his hair. Anita and Faren are our favorites! My only complaint is they sometimes seem understaffed and may only have 2 people working at busier times. Don't go here for color!!!! I have come here for about a year for haircuts and haven't had an issue. So I didn't think getting color here would be an issue. I talked to the stylist extensively about what I wanted and if she could do it. She said she could and consultants with another stylist she later ignored when she tried to help her. I should have known better. She didn't seem confident and event to cut a walk in's hair when my hair was processing. I asked MORE than once if she was sure we would achieve the color we talked about. She kept saying it was fine. My sides are shaved and were to remain dark. Her work was so sloppy it bleed to my ear on 1 side. She wanted to send me home with black dye in my hair to fix what she messed up! I was clearly NOT happy at the end when she tried to explain to me that my hair was fine and you just never know how dye will take to your hair. Are you serious? I have been getting my hair professionally colored you Years and have never had anyone blame my hair for their lack of training and education. THEN she changed me $30 more than I was originally quoted! Save yourself the headache. Spend the money and go where they know what they are doing. I have a clear line from my root job. Luckily I wear it curly so it's not so obvious. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I am a very picky person and she is a perfect match for me she listens and she does exactly what you want! This Supercut on old Alabama is super clean and everyone here is super friendly! There is a reason I keep getting desperate "WE MATCH EVERY ONES COUPONS!!!" emails every week (they also seem to run a 10$ "special" every single week (that should be a warning. I walk in to a very empty shop, at the 'desk' is a large computer screen that I am expected to stand there and type in my info, while the...stylists? clerk? stands there, arms crossed...well, 'not found', I try again...(my phone # recently changed, so not sure which one they might have). and still nothing. The clerk? stylist? does nothing to help.... I finally walk out= telling the lady "All I wanted was a hair cut" (not to have to do what every other place does (a friendly face, they input it, etc). The clerk? says nothing- when I went to their competitor, who gladly typed in my phone #, where it pulled up my info and history. She was very nice. I won't be going back, All the clerk? had to do is offer to type in my phone # (or heck, be helpfull? no wonder they are so desperate....). yuck read more

I just got one of the worst haircuts of my life today at this place. Didn't realize how bad it was until I got home and took a hard look at it in the mirror. The front is crooked and the back is rounded on one side and square on the other. Really regret leaving a tip. Guess you get what you pay for with these places... read more

Part 1 Review- My daughter's experience: I regret going to this place. First, they turn on the tv and leave it running when they don't have internet or cable service. (That was something I learned from them when I was waiting my turn.) The register doesn't work. Again an internet issue? So they only take cash. At the time, I was ok with it because I was planning to pay cash anyway. My daughter explains to one of the stylists what she wants. She wants her hair cut short, like really short. The lady barely cuts it and cuts "wisps" in the back of her hair. So, I take her back and meet with a different stylist. I explain the problem so she offers to cut it shorter. The lady that originally cut her hair was in the back and since I wasn't about to search for her, decided to let the new lady fix it. Well, my daughter told her she wanted it short all over. She agreed only to the part where she decided to leave the top a little long because she didn't want anyone to know or think that she butchered her hair. Well she finished and the other lady walked in all upset because we didn't get her from the back of the store so she could fix it. Part 2 Review- My experience: It was my turn and the lady that first cut my daughters hair ended up cutting my hair. I saw that her method for cutting hair was very different from the other beauticians that cut my hair in the past. I'm not even sure if her method was accurate. I mean, I'm not a beautician but i do have common sense. She wanted to know if I wanted "wisps" in my hair after I showed her a detailed picture of what kind of style I wanted. The style doesn't have "wisps", it has a shaved back head. I said "no" I don't want that, I want my hair cut short. Like shaved. She asked me what number razor clip I wanted. I honestly don't know because I don't get my hair shaved often. She was also complaining to me that she has been use to hearing the music all day she was wanting to hear something. I guess that was my fault because I wasn't chatting it up with her. I offered to play music off my phone and she just realized that she could have done that the whole day she worked. I played some calm music in hopes it would help her. Well, I think we both needed that music because her styling ability went downhill once it turned 8:00pm. It was closing time and though, in my opinion, once you start something at 100%, don't half a** it once it's quitting time. You finish at 100%. We walked in at 7pm and though they closed at 8pm, all they had to do was to ask us to come back the next day. Anyway, I asked her if the other stylist could finish and instead of doing it or just saying no, they carry on by saying that it looks like the picture and then saying that my hair won't work right. I've had this style before for years until I grew my hair long. For them to tell me my hair wouldn't cooperate was a bunch of lies. I spent $16.00 for both cuts ($32.00), $5.00 for a blow dry, and $4.00 which equals $41.00 of something I could have done myself for free. I can't tell you to not visit this establishment, but I can guarantee that we will never go back. I would like to say that if someone is so afraid to listen to the customer and so afraid to cut hair, you might want to find a different career. read more

I gave it a 1 because they don't accommodate for a zero (0). Less than pathetic work - the girl was a amateur at best. Went in for a root coloring job and came back with black marks around my hairline that took for ever to come off. When washing my hair the towels and my back were soaking wet and , then to boot, the girl used the wrong brush when blow drying my hair and made my hair so frizzy I had to wash it again and blow dry it myself to tame my hair. I've been getting virtually the same haircut for the last 10 years and will my extensive past travel schedule, I have gone to countless places in countless cities across the country. Now that I am not traveling nearly as much, I've gone to several places to get my hair cut including Sports Clips, Great Clips, and various barbers. I can honestly say that going to Faren was a great move. She gave me the best haircut I've ever received. She really took the time to make sure that it looked exactly the way I wanted and even rinsed all the excess hair off my head when we were done. After living here for over a year now, I have finally found the person for me. If you haven't gone to see her, I would STRONGLY suggest that you give her a try...you won't be disappointed! Worst ever I came to get my eye brows done and the lady at the front did not know the price to what I was asking took 10 minutes looking for a paper with the price. She kept going to the back to ask a worker both of them did not know anything!! Okay so I guess they made up a price because after looking and looking she went back to the worker in some room in the back and came back with it's $8 for eye brows. I tried it and wow? worst decision ever I believe they don't have license for it because they dint know where the tweezers were and km telling you she ruined my eye brows!!! I asked her where was the owner she said why you don't like them I said no and you don't have the material to do this so she goes back to the other worker and the worker said I can pay $5 like seriously don't come here I payed but never again will I or any one I know come here I hope the owner sees this and everyone els!!! read more

I was very happy with my haircut by Laura at the Old Alabama Supercuts. I've long searched for a stylist who honestly listened to me and had the vision and talent to create a hairstyle that not only looked great when I left the shop, but also every day since. She was not with coloring - terrible, as a matter of fact. She's no longer there. Management offered me free haircuts because of the cost of my really bad hair color. That was nice - but now the haircuts are not great; so my search continues elsewhere. read more
