I am weary of places like Supercuts, but I decided to try this one because a co-worker gets her hair done there and it turns out nicely every time. I guess I should've requested her stylist, because the person who cut my hair attacked it with the skill level of a five-year-old. I was growing my hair out to donate it to Locks of Love, and I had about a year to go. I asked for a trim and what I got was about five inches hacked off in blunt, uneven "layers." The left side looked completely different from the right, and the lengths were not the same. I wound up with hair ledges rather than layers. Blunt and awful. The stylist SEEMED knowledgeable and was aware I was donating, so I was appreciative when he suggested a certain style that would assist in the growing-out process. What I got was this hideous hair cut that stole about a year of length. I did notice the style looked slightly odd when he was finished, but I attributed it to the fact that I did not get my hair washed there and the styling was brief. I figured once I washed it and styled it myself it would all kind of "fall into place." Wrong. I contemplated going back there the next morning to have them fix it, but I decided to use someone I know and trust so I could salvage whatever length I had left and have a guarantee that I would look normal leaving the house. When all was said and done with the salvage cut, I believe I lost about a year and a half of length. I'm starting over and I am not happy about it. Please do yourself a favor and pay for a real salon. I balk at the idea of paying $30-50 for a hair cut, but at least you know you'll be getting a real stylist who will cut your hair correctly. I don't know if Supercuts checks credentials, because I cannot accept the fact that this person is giving such awful haircuts and it's allowed to continue! I wish I could upload a picture or two on here to show how awful the hair cut was. If you DO decide to go here, I would ask to have the manager cut your hair. I believe that is who cuts my co-workers hair and seems to be a competent stylist. What a waste of time, money (even $1 would have been too much for what I got), and sanity. read more

I tried Supercuts because my regular barber was closed (it was past 7pm on a Friday night). There were only two hair stylists working but I didn't have to wait long (there were only two other people ahead of me when i walked in). I usually get my hair cut very short during the summer so there wasn't too much skill involved in cutting my hair. They're more expensive than my usual place ($16 v. $12) but they take credit cards. It definitely won't replace my regular barber but I will go to Supercuts again if I want a haircut and can't wait for my regular barber to be open. read more

The older woman who cut my hair did an absolutely awful job. I wanted the sides of my head shaved (I'm a girl and I've had it done before so it was pretty much fucking mapped out for her already) and I sat down and tried to tell her what I wanted. She barely listened to me because I tried to explain and she just kind of picked up the razor and went for it. I wanted it to be longer on the top and shorter on the bottom, she went over the whole thing with one setting, accidentally fucked up part of it in the front, went and made that shorter, then when she was going to clean the edges she CUT PART OF MY LONG HAIR. I HAD A FUCKING WISP OF MY LONG HAIR POKING OUT, THE REST STILL IN MY PONYTAIL. Seriously. Never going here again. I gave it a chance because I really needed a cut but I regretted it as soon as I left crying. read more

I'm a little leery of getting my hair done at "chain salons" since I had a bad experience at one a few years ago but today is Sunday and I really wanted to get my hair done and most salons are closed. I saw that this particular Super Cuts had pretty good reviews and was pretty close to my house so I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad that I did. I didn't make an appointment or anything, I just walked in and signed in on their computer check in system and said that I didn't have a stylist preference since I've never been there before and didn't know any of them. When my stylist introduced herself, she told me her name was Jessica and I was SO happy because I remembered that I saw her name on a bunch of positive Yelp reviews. She was really great! My hair is very long and it's been a long time since I've gotten my hair cut. She took her time and kept checking to make sure the layers were even and she gave me some tips about conditioning my scalp and how to get volume when blowing out my hair. I was extremely happy with my experience and will definitely not wait so long for my next haircut since I found a stylist that I'm really happy with. I highly recommend Jessica. read more

I've been taking my girls here for several years and have always taken the first available stylist. Every experience has been great with no complaints...until yesterday. We had a stylist who I've never seen before. We do the basic service and normally a spray bottle is used to wet the hair and comb it out straight before cutting. My older daughter's hair is wavy yet the stylist cut it completely dry which caused many pieces to be shorter than others. Since I was sitting in the waiting area I did not notice until we got home that her hair is completely uneven. I also asked for a trim but about 1 1/2 inches was cut off so now she doesn't want it fixed because it's already too short. And unfortunately the same happened with my younger daughter's hair. The stylist seemed like she didn't want to be there and this was a complete rush job and extremely poor service. After several years of going here we won't go back. read more

I must tell you, one of the BEST haircuts I have ever gotten! I mean I actually received compliments on my hair! One time we called in to see if she was there, because she gives great haircuts, and she was but it was 10 minutes before closing. Yesterday I took myself and a picture of the bob hair style I wanted to Supercuts. I had the hair for the cut being long enough etc.The stylist looked at the picture and then proceeded to cut most of my hair off and razor my already thin hair. The bob I requested was long layers to the base of the head. She stacked and cut most of my hair off . I am embarrassed to be seen by any one and do not look forward to going to work tomorrow.and very angry. My hair looks horrific, she should have just shave my head. I love this Supercuts! My whole family has been coming here for several years now. Our hairstylist is Dawn and we just love her. She knows each of my 3 kids personalities which really helps when getting their haircut or deciding on a new hairstyle. I've been getting my haircut and colored by Dawn and love it each time! She does a great job and every time I leave there completely satisfied. It's a pleasant atmosphere and Dawn is very personable and accommodating. The shop was very clean and I was greeted professionally. The stylist was friendly and listened as I described what I wanted in a hair cut and style. I was very impressed with the outcome of my haircut and style. I loved the products used on my hair and bought some suggested hair products. I definitely will go to this Supercuts in the future. Awful service. First off it was not a busy day at all, it was a Monday in the middle of the day. I've been to this particular salon multiple times to get a quick and easy trim, and they usually to a pretty good job. However, their service is well below par. I've given it a few tries and each time it disappoints. Last time I was there I signed in and waited an hour before standing up and leaving. I saw five people walk in and get a haircut before me along with a few people with appointments as well as someone who showed up early for their appointment and one man who showed up late; all of which got haircuts before me. The service, organization, and scheduling at this Super Cuts is atrocious. I gave it one star only because I have to give a star. I'll be honest I really don't understand the bad reviews, I have always gotten a great hair cut here, better then some high end salons in the area and the are definitely on par with higher end places . The only reason I started to go to super cuts in the first place was because I went to great clips in manville and was treated so badly there I walked out and looked up a different place to get a cheap haircut (mind you i was poor at the time) . What a complete difference between these places, The girl at Super Cuts first off Greeted me right away when I walked in, then when it was my turn she sat me down, asked what I was looking to get and what I normally have done and I told her I normally get a scissor cut and only a little bit done with the buzzer just to shape everything neatly. I pointed to a picture of what I was looking for and she exclaimed "Okay I Got It " ! and presto she went to work. When it was all done I was honestly surprised because lets face it the place is a cheap place to get a hair cut so in all honesty my expectations were not that high.. but being that I have had friends who worked at high end salons where the cuts start at 60$ I have to say this girl as well as many of the other girls who have cut my hair there could easily keep up. Since then I have had Jen as well as Dominique cut my hair at super cuts and I have been more then impressed with their abilities. All in all the stylist there have decent abilities.
