The salon as a whole is very clean, very professional, and very friendly. As a stylist, Jess is wonderful to have doing your service. She explained everything about extensions to me during our consultation since it is my first time getting them, and she was up front and honest about the entire process and cost. She was very considerate of how I was feeling in the chair during my service, assured me that we could chat or I could watch tv or listen to music etc. and there was no pressure whatsoever. She also explained each step of the process as she did it, and she never handed me off to anyone else for shampooing etc. She ordered us lunch and we conversed and I felt very taken care of. I went there Friday morning (7/24/20) and they did a fantastic job keeping me and all other customers safe from Covid-19. Not only was everyone wearing masks, but they limit customers and make them wait outside until it is their turn. My stylist disinfect everything and every area as she went along...the sink, the chair, all tools, everything she and I touched. She even sprayed disinfectant on my credit card before she returned it to me. Highly recommend this particular salon in this day and age! However, I got my hair colored there a few times over the years and that I do myself at home now. No matter how much I asked them not to get my forehead and scalp colored, I always end up with stains. You're not supposed to shampoo hair that has been colored for at least 72 hours, so I walk around looking like an idiot for a few days.

I made an appointment right before the holidays and they squeezed me in. I know it was a busy time so honestly wasn't expecting an appointment but they said they had an opening. I didn't realize they were overbooking me with another client. When I got there they explained this to me and that they probably wouldn't have time for a hair cut or I could come back later for a cut. I was already there so I figured I had no other options. I got my hair dyed then was told to come back in 2 hours to have it cut. I wasn't even offered a blow dry service and it was raining. Because I didn't want to walk around with a wet head in the middle of winter and while raining waiting 2 hours to get my hair cut, I ended up going to super cuts to get my hair cut. What a crazy experience!

Adriana gave me an absolutely perfect 90s-style bouncy blowout, using only a hairdryer and a round brush, that held ALL night - I could not believe it didn't frizz up in the rain. Three days and a long plane ride later, and it's still smooth and wavy at the ends. My hair smelled amazing and had none of that hairspray crunch (though I know she used some). I was given a tour of the salon, which is lovely and clean and smells wonderful. Even got a few Aveda free samples which was so thoughtful. This salon was recommended to me by someone at the mechanic shop, after I mentioned my neighborhood…read morebarber retired. I'm not normally a fan of salons and prefer the old fashioned barber shop experience in its simplicity. My experience here changed my mind. My stylist, Caroline, made me feel welcome, as did all the staff. She wasn't old, she wasn't Italian so I was skeptical at first. I even told her this. LOL She quickly put me at ease. The place is meticulously clean. The other stylist ,Laurah, was in between clients and appeared to have deep cleaned the entire salon during the time of my visit. I was amazed at the job Caroline did, especially with a men's cut, since the margin for error is very slim, with short hair. She did a very neat job, took her time, and it was surprising that my hair looked like it was finished with a razor using just a scissors and clipper. Since they offer coloring, I decided to experiment, my first time even considering such a thing. I figured what the hell, worst thing is the natural brown and new gray sprouting up would grow back and if it didn't grow back I could just use lemon Pledge on my chrome dome I was left with. The results looked quite natural, Caroline went over color options and there were quite a few to match my natural hair color. I have received many compliments on my appearance, saying I look younger, etc, and a few other guys from the barber shop have also gone there and were happy with the results. The place is expansive, looked brand new, comfortable chairs, plenty of room unlike the claustrophobic feel and layers of dust in some old school barber shops. I'm planning on going back, recommend having Caroline as a stylist. She even recommended shampoo and conditioner products that improved my scalp and hair. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews here, or at least a recent review, since that would have helped me when looking for a new place to get a hair cut.
