She cut, colored and styled my hair all while teaching me great ways to help strengthen and maintain my now beautiful locks. I must say it was the best haircut & color I've ever gotten. I had so many compliments on it. Oh, and girls! - take it from me if you have course hair or dry hair try the Keratin Treatment - it works wonders. I recently tried the Keratin Treatment and it helped calm and smooth out my course, dry hair. Oh, but beware after you receive this treatment you will NOT need a quarter of hair products you are normally used to using. I used the same smoothing products afterwards and my hair turned greasy. Overall, it was a positive experience. Val is extremely talented and I feel lucky to have found this little hidden gem right here in the Lehigh Valley. From Hair To Eternity is a little pricey in comparison to other salons in the area. However, Val more than makes up for it with the personal experience you get while you're there. I live in NJ and I have just recently started to go to "From Hair to Eternity" and I am not disappointed in any way. The salon is beautifully decorated, serene and very comforting. Valerie the owner has amazing talent and an eye for what haircut and color would look best for "you". She takes the time to first consult with you and gets a feel for what you are looking to get out of your visit at her salon. While styling my hair she explained what products she was using and how they would enhance my new haircut. I also had my hair colored and highlighted by Valerie, she highlighted my hair using two colors and my hair looks AMAZING, and has so much shine. I am thrilled. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair from both men and women. Valerie is very meticulous with every haircut and color and makes you feel like you are her only client. I would definitely recommend "From Hair to Eternity" to anyone who is looking for that hair stylist who will help them get that perfect haircut and color and for someone that will prescribe products that will work with and for your hair. The products that were recommened for me are great. I purchased the curl creme and my hair has so much more body to it than it did with the products I was using. Today was my 1st time going to From Hair To Eternity. I was a little nervous about getting my hair done at 1st because I had a horrible experience in the last salon I attended. I met Valerie who is the owner of the salon. And to my amazement she was AMAZING!! She was not only a sweet heart. But she was extremely informative about everything I wanted to have done to myself. Valerie took 5 hours of her time just for me. Everything was one on one. No rushing at all. Valerie takes her time to insure that I was comfortable and happy at all times. She is a religious woman as I am. But she will never force anyone into any type of religious belief unless the conversation came up between the to. Valerie is extremely professional at all times. I could not be happier with the experiences that I have had here! I had searched through so many salons trying to find a place that would be relaxed and full of warmth. I was first introduced to this salon when my fiance had looked up the 'best salon in the Lehigh Valley'. We were both not disappointed. He bought me a gift certificate for a pedicure. Once he bought the gift certificate, he liked the service so much, that he decided to get his haircut there. We went to Valerie because we were frustrated with our frizzy, fine hair. We liked one of the pictures on her Facebook page and it matched other pictures of what we wanted our hair to look like. A lot of the reviews said she was good with working with long, fine hair - so we decided to give From Hair to Eternity a try. We are very happy we did! We wanted to keep our hair long but did not really know how to get and keep it to looking like how we really wanted. Valerie took time to educated us on how best to style our hair to avoid frizz which was really helpful. She's an expert at cutting hair. After searching for many years for a stylist who actually knows what to do with thin, fine hair (and not a lot of it), I've finally found her! I've been a client for over a year now. Val begins each visit by listening to my concerns (and I really mean listening). Then, instead of giving me the typical responses I've gotten from past stylists like "wow, you really DO have thin hair" or "what do you want done" or "you can't do that because your hair is way too thin", Val says "here's what I can do for you." To defend Kelly S. -- well, that was my experience too. It was embarrassing because I was not assertive enough to say anything about the sticker shock I got. For example, they are doing my hair (she and an assistant) and they say, "You need your eyebrows waxed." And then they just proceed.
