We use to get our hair done here all the time when we lived in the neighborhood but since moving to NE Mesa we've had to use a closer location and honestly I miss this location so much the stylist are nice and professional the shop itself is super clean and you can get the rest of your shopping done in the same shopping center. The prices here are decent and they have a good selection of hair care products I highly recommend this location if you live in Gilbert or are in the neighborhood for the day. read more

So, I stepped my son off for school around the corner at 7:45 and went to Planet Fitness to kill time until Supercuts opened. I made a 9:30 appointment online with no problem. Imagine my surprise to get here and find that they don't open until 10:00. I get that everyplace is having staffing issues and I have no problem with stores having to shorten their hours. However, I find it completely outrageous that I'm still able to make an online appointment at a time they're not actual open. There were plenty of other ways I could have arranged my day, that would have been far more convenient, including going to a different Supercuts that's near my home rather than my son's school. I guess now I'll wait the 22 minutes until they actually open at 10 and if someone isn't here to open on time, my two stars is going down to one star. read more

Previously I have this location 5 stars based on my last cut but I am sadly forced to revise my review at this time. After being quarantined with the rest of the state for two months I looked forward to getting my hair cut. By the time this young girl was done it looked like I had just chopped my hair off at home with a pair of dull scissors. It will grow back if course but to say I am disappointed is an understatement. There was no point in correcting her either as by the time it was done there wasn't enough to work with to try to even it out. read more

I went to this Supercuts at 4980 South Power, Gilbert Az out of convenience, I live out of state and had my nails done nearby. I looked at the Great Clips app for a neck trim and shampoo, and several nearby all had 30-60 minute wait times. So l looked in the Supercuts app and there was no wait. That should have been my first light bulb moment. I mentioned that I did not want a haircut, just a neck trim and shampoo. The stylist said ok, gave me a shampoo and she cut my hair at the neckline only. When I asked for the senior discount, a large stylist who had no work said, "Nah it's only a dollar." I was charged for a full head haircut $28.50 ("Because I CUT your hair") less one dollar when I asked for the senior discount at the register. At Great Clips they do the same shampoo and neck trim for $16.00 for a senior. THAT'S why Supercuts had no wait time. Why would I EVER go back to any Supercuts? The stylist who "cut my hair" wears a denim jacket with Tinkerbell embroidered on the back. Ugh! read more

Awful customer service. I made an appointment for a cut and color on the app. When I arrived for my appointment I saw a sign on the door that their card reader was down (again) and that they were only accepting cash. So I went to check in and ask if I would have time to make a quick trip to the bank. I was greeted by a very rude gentleman who informed me that I didn't have an appointment with them at all. I showed him the app that clearly showed my appointment and he said "oh well we couldn't do it anyway because we won't do color after 3pm" (appointment was for 4pm). He didn't bother to apologize for the mix-up. Didn't offer a solution or alternate appointment and basically gave me "too bad so sad" look and sent me on my way. What the heck?!? read more

Took my 2 year old son for just a trim. They were so accommodating and allowed him to sit on my lap which is the easiest way to get him to stay still. I ended up having her cut a little more than I originally wanted and it was by far the best hair cut he has had. She was so calm and patient. Will definitely be coming back! We were in the area and my boyfriends usual place had a long wait and was far out of the way, so he looked on Yelp and this place had 4 stars and a short wait time. My boyfriend asked to get a trim of his undercut that grew out. He asked for a 5 but she was like, "Don't worry, this is my 4" and used a size 2 (electric razor). 1st MISTAKE: not listening to customer. The woman who cut his hair didn't even look under to see where the line was that separated the top and bottom. When I cut his hair, I use a comb. This woman didn't even look! She just went under the top, blindly shaving whatever hair was grown out. 2nd HORRIBLE, WORST MISTAKE: Not looking at what you're doing. Usually, when we go to cheaper, walk-in places like these, they sometimes get it wrong but at least it's straight. This lady did not give a s***. The lady who did his hair didn't care about her manners (she kept burping out loud, no apologies nor covered her mouth), didn't care about her hair appearance (if you're working in a hair salon, dress the damn part). This location succeeded my expectations in every way! I scheduled with low expectations due to the cheap cost of a regular cut; however, the haircut was better than decent, and the stylist was efficient, attentive, and such a kind person (I didn't catch her name, but she is a blonde taking over for the current manager who's on maternity leave). I was in and out within twenty five minutes, which was a huge surprise to me since I was chopping off most of my hair that reached down past my back. She was extremely nice and was spot on her estimate, when I walked in she notified me of the person already there (walk ins are available if your wondering, but will have to wait, obviously) and told me to come back in 20 minutes. Ok, I had the best experience here. Not to mention I got the most amazing haircut! Last time I had a haircut I went to some fancy hair salon and got a mediocre haircut that costed me a fortune. So I took my daughters here for some haircuts. They loved it! the hair stylist did an amazing job, my kids walked out of there thinking they were a couple of models. So since they did such a good job on my daughters hair I thought I'd give it a chance on my own hair. My hair is CRAZY THICK and I've never had a haircut that made me walk out saying I love my hair, but Bridgette did that for me! I love my haircut! She took the time and made my hair look amazing, I was 8 months pregnant and took all three of my kids. I thought it would be a nightmare but the staff pulled out some pens and let my kids doodle and played with them while I got my haircut. I didn't know all their names but every stylist there is the best. I hope they read this and know I'll never forget the kindness and hospitality I received. Thanks you! read more

Who here remembers what it's like to start middle school? Its a scary time for a shy kid. I bring my 12 year son in who has long hair. Long story short I show the girl a picture of the style he wants. She says "no problem" and commences to cutting. Not only did she not even come close to anything like the picture she chopped it so short. Then she needed someone else to come help her blend it. Now I am all for people learning. We all start somewhere. But at no point did she say anything like "hey I'm new, I'm not sure if I can do this but I'd like to try" nor did she say anything like "he doesn't have the right hair type for that style" she led me to believe that she could deliver. Now I have a 12 year old shy kid who absolutely hates his haircut. Let's also say that he's a boy who doesn't typically care about fashion or style. So for him to be so bothered by this is saying a lot. I think that this place is usually ok but they need to start being honest about what they can deliver and if a style that is presented isn't in their wheelhouse of capabilities. read more

At 9am I was still waiting outside in line behind another gentleman, who happened to be in a wheelchair. At 9:04, Jennifer walked to the front door and unlocked it. I found it rude for her not to open the door for the wheelchair client. She hesitated to speak to me, assuming I was there with the other gentleman. If I'm going to sit in a chair with a stylist for hours, I don't care how good she/he is, I will not to pay my hard earned $ to someone who doesn't treat others kindly. I've been bringing my son here for a few years and this store has gone down hill in the past year or so. This last visit, the stylists were all huddled in their back office eating food. The one who comes out doesn't great us, but says "what's the name?" One stylist , Christine, emerges from the back room chewing her food and looking like I interupted her last meal or something....So I sit my kid in the chair and let her know how I want his hair cut and I show her how much to cut off. She got really snippy about how I wanted it, saying "its either this or this...." That's fine, maybe just take a layer of snippy attitude off and have a conversation with someone who is paying you. She started shaving the sides of his head and she was really rough. My kid has a ton of hair and it was obvious she was pulling it and making him uncomfortable. I then stood next to them so she could tell I was watching. It wasn't until I mentioned I would do an online review that she straightened up and started acting like she cared at all. I have definitely decided we are done with this salon. I have been to other salons in this chain and they are much better in the service they offer. All in all, their cut was ok, but the service stunk and I don't recommend paying anyone who treats you like crap....ever!! There are other options out there. read more
