Today was my first time trying super cuts because my usual stylist is out of town for the year. I originally went to the location in Northridge and had a terrible customer service experience with Emily so I left. When I realized this location was only 10min away I decided to try them instead. Hands-down, the worst haircut I ever had this is my third review on a different platform not only did I complain from their email survey. I also complained on Google. My haircut literally lasted five minutes when I got home and noticed what happened. Say how much I care about my haircut. My last haircut that Supercuts was able to fix was maybe about three or four months ago and the service was outstanding. I let my girlfriend cut my hair and she has no haircut and experience she cut my hair with a beard trimmer. This is worse than what I could've done to myself or my girlfriend could've done. I'm not saying that this place is terrible because I've had two great experience prior to that. I'm thankful that I do not have to go to work for the next week since I'm going on vacation, but disappointed. I'm going on vacation with a haircut like this. They should be disappointed themselves that they feel this is a good representation of how they can cut hair and listen to what a customer requested. I requested a zero mid fade. I already had a fringe outline for my previous haircuts and only requested a quarter inch to maybe a half inch off and took over an inch off. I've never been upset from a haircut even when my girlfriend messed it up. I was not worried. read more

I've been coming to this location for several years. Prices have increased significantly pre COVID. But not surprisingly. The staff are always kind. Though there is a decent turnover rate, so I can't get the same lady. Some are better than others. But never a bad cut. Wait is usually short or none. (I arrive after work, by 5) read more

Im someone who likes my hair short and often buzzed. Ive worked in a lot of different environments where Ive had the liberty to experiment with different hairstyles. Maureen has been cutting my hair for over a year now and has been really flexible and really willing to have fun with whatever whacky thing I roll in with. She is my favorite and I would go to her forever! Rosa has also cut my hair on occasion when Maureen hasnt been available, and she's done a great job as well. After my go to hairdresser quit & moved on with her life, I was devastated. So I had to go looking for a new place to get a trim. Since this Supercuts was the closest option to me, I decided to give it a whirl. All while not expecting much. I have since gone 3 times all with different stylists (I've yet to find a good schedule, especially within the time of COVID) and all 3 of them have done an amazing job. I've even taken my 4 year old twice and my 20 month old once and they've done great jobs with them as well! Needless to say, while I still miss my old hairdresser, this location has yet to disappoint. And I'm okay with that! read more

For fast and cheap haircuts I say supercuts is pretty good.

I had one of the worst experiences there last Friday. I asked and showed 3 pictures that I wanted a long bob. The hairstylist deliberately gave me a short bob. I even stopped her halfway through the haircut telling her it was too short! She gave me the wrong hairstyle and did what she wanted! I ended up spending sooo much money on a wig and hair extensions, shame on her!One star. read more

This is my go-to salon in the valley. The salon is neat and decently quiet, and it's a relaxing environment. I've only gotten my haircut by two people there, but both times each barber was very competent. Ask for Trina; I've gone to her multiple times and each time I've been extremely satisfied. The parking lot always usually has spots to park in and there are restaurants next to the shop that are pretty good to eat at. Getting out of the parking lot is a little tricky, but otherwise, it's a great store. read more

October 8, 2021 I went to get a haircut called no appointment needed and they took me so I went. I was met with Courtney was very nice And very talkative. She was cutting my hair and she was done within like 10 minutes. I don't have a lot of hair but I was surprised I have never had anyone do it so fast. Well we talked for another 5 minutes. She then said I was done but never showed me the mirror. Well my wife called me so I put my cap on and went to the register. I was charged $25 for the cut, which I was expecting it to be $15.00, so I was surprised. I gave her $5.00 tip as well. I always get my hair washed but she never asked if I wanted it. Ok got home and I took a shower. I looked at my hair and it is the worse hair cut I have ever gotten. I will go there tomorrow so they can fix it . read more

Took my son for his first haircut he is 3 so obviously he is scared trying to calm him down im told to take him to the chair, he is expected to sit by himself and get a hair cut a 3 year old!! My son came in for a fade and called me almost crying. The outcome was horrible. 1st time and last time he comes here, he is so much better off sticking to his salon Orozcos beauty salon in San Fernando Vanessa is amazing it's unfortunate that we had no time to go with her today and this place was convenient cuz we live down the street but I would rather drive to San Fernando than ever come back here the person that cut his hair shouldn't be allowed to cut hair or at least give fade . Mind you super cuts TIRED to redeem themselves by having another girl fix the screw up from the 1st stylist but that was a FAIL this place has no clue what a fade is . We go to this location a lot and do get decent hair cuts for the price. My complaint is how extremely dirty this place has been the last couple of times I've been there . Behind the bench in the waiting area that is closest to the stylist chairs was a mountain of hair. My kids are always covered in hair that is not theirs every time we go there. read more

First time at this Supercuts after moving up to The Valley, won't visit again. It seemed like the woman who cut my hair was in a rush, it didn't even take her 10 minutes to finish (at other stores at least 25min or more) and you definitely see that the haircut was rushed. First impression was ok, at least what you were able to see with their hand mirror...but checking at home: Not accurate, missed to cut some hair, especially the edges are not clean. It's just 23$ but still to much for this place, sorry won't come back. Really disappointed. read more

My choice location for almost 40-years. My sons, who are now grown men with families of their own, received their first haircuts here and continued to have them at this location through high school. I now live out of state but return here for my haircuts. My last few visits have not been the greatest. I've been rushed, the various stylists did not listen to my requests and once I returned home, I've located hair that was not the appropriate length for the style received. I've taken all of this in stride and understand the current and last couple of years challenging working conditions and, as a consumer, this must be taken into consideration. So, with that, I planned another visit to this location. Yesterday, I checked the app for making an appointment. It indicated there was a 20-minute wait. Checked the services and called the number to make sure I could receive a cut & blow dry which was confirmed. I arrived approximately 1-hour later, waited to check in and was informed that if I wanted to have a cut and blow dry I would have to wait 1.5 to two hours. This was not stated to me on the phone and was not reflected in the app. Luckily for me, I was able to locate another Supercuts location that could take me with minimal wait. Keep in mind that this was late morning on a weekday, usually not a time where you would expect a long wait. Unfortunately I will no longer visit this location - the customer service and level of service has just deteriorated too much for me to continue visiting this location. I've shared this with my family members who also frequent this location to allow them to choose a different location or company altogether. read more

For mens haircuts they are really good. They cut well without taking long when I get a fade. If it comes down to just my cut this place is 5 stars. Now why is this review 4 stars? Well this has to do with the appt booking. At the moment their hours are 9am - 8pm (M-Th). The latest appt allowed is at 7:30pm. I scheduled an appt at that time and when I come to the store they were closed. I understand due to Covid they could be short staffed but you should not be allowed to schedule an appt and the whole store be closed. I just find that aspect unprofessional. Will I go back? Yes! I'm compelled to write this review because of how professional & great my experience was. After calling the Topanga & Lassen Supercuts closest to my home, 40 minutes to close, I was informed that they were open, but not taking any more appointments ... which has happened to me in the past at this location ... even when it was apparent that they were not overbooked and could have finished by 9pm. So, I called the Supercuts at Devonshire & Reseda to make a reservation for 8:30pm and she said, you dont need a reservation and if you walk in by 9pm, we will take you. I arrived and Mirna was available and cut my hair exactly as I asked, asked if I wanted my brows trimmed & finished the cut off with a hot towel and gel. She's also fast, a pleasant conversationalist & friendly. I'm not sure if it's a reflection on the owner or what, but I like it there much better than other Supercut locations. read more

Honestly, The experience was just Terrible. The women who cut my brothers hair well first of all didn't receive a name, older Hispanic women. She was getting frustrated because my brother literally took 3 minutes to figure out what he wanted, She was rushing the haircut as I was watching her. We asked for a taper and she completely Ignored that request. When we first got there I asked if she knows how to do a taper and she said yes, then mid cut she said we don't do that here so I asked her what do you do then and got completely ignored me. Honestly I just recommend a old fashion barber shop, they put heart into their cuts for same or even less of the price. Would give 0 stars but not an option.
