Terrible & botched! I went in for a trim, so what can possibly go wrong with a trim?? I asked for a V- shape and layers on the sides only. I even showed her photos for references from Pinterest and she said okay!! She gave me a U-shape that I did not ask for, and UNEVEN. She even told me herself that it was a U-shape. The entire time she was cutting my hair, I was facing away from the mirror which was already strange from the start. When I told her it wasn't what I asked for, she panicked and another girl had to move me chairs to correct it which meant cutting more length. Even then, she left it uneven. They still charged me $20 for the botched haircut. I left there with short hair. My hair was so long before, so I was very excited to get a v-shape cut. Never going back there again. She was literally the best, the look wasn't exactly what I wanted BUT ONLY because the hairstyle was for women with straight hair not curly like mine, BUT MARIA made it worked anyway and was patient even when I told her I wanted to include a blowout later on. Amazing, salon! I decided to try get a haircut in a new place, and came across Vanity. The salon is very affordable, well kept and was decorated for Valentine's Day. Carol was my hair dresser that day and she did a great job, going above and beyond, and even helped me decide on a new hair style. She was very easy to talk to and gave me some great advice taking care of my hair type and the procedure for dyeing it. The staff was very friendly and helpful overall. I don't think it's a bad salon I just want everyone to know how I experienced it I went in weeks before my appointment to get an estimate on my hair carol quoted me 170 and once she was done I went to pay she charged me 200 don't get me wrong the hair was nice and everything I just wish she didn't do too much blonde I showed her the picture she said ok she kept wanting to look at the picture once doing my hair she kept leaving me to do others hairs I just don't think she should juggle too many clients at once, she gave me a dirty blonde high light mind you I had already had highlights worn out from another artist possibly a much better artist but that's besides the point because she gave me roots way too much blonde and the inspiration picture I showed the roots were dark brown I had already had my dark brown roots I didn't realize till after what she had done because like I said getting up from the chair it looked beautiful I just don't think I would recommend this salon to anyone personally I think they need to be retrained but that's ok I mean here's what I wanted and this is what she gave me. I am so happy I found this place. I used to go to TK's Salon across the street. He used to charge $15 for a haircut, but he moved to a new location & raised the price to $18. I saw the sign out front of this place that they charge only $8 for a man's haircut. This was one of the BEST haircuts I've had in a long time. The most absolutely horrible place you can cut your hair. I asked for a mid fade, the lady said okay, and guess what? She gave me a buzz cut. And did a half fast job on it. Only last about 20 mins when good haircuts typically take around an hour. I will never ever step foot into the salon ever again. Save your money, and go somewhere they actually know how to follow instructions and how to cut hair. This salon was a waste of money. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I asked the person to cut my hair to cut 3 inches off the top, they cut 6 inches. Their cutting tools and clippers were very dirty. I got a haircut from them about 3 days ago, now I have a ring worm on my head. I also got lice from how dirty their scissors were. I've been coming here for 3 yrs to get my hair done by Carol , she has great affordable prices and does a great job . Very nice person to talk to. I have recommended my mom and niece and they were also happy with the service. The rest of the staff is also good they cut my boys and husband hair. I DO NOT recommend this place. I have been here before when I needed a hair cut, but I was hesitant on returning because I did not get the length I initially wanted. (It was shorter than I wanted). I came back today because of the price and I was in a rush. My job is a few minutes away so I figured I could make it to my dinner plans. I walked in hoping for a quick wash and style and I waited by the reception for almost 15 minutes!! No one greeted me or asked me what I needed or how long it would take to wait, did I mention not even a greeting!! I've had my sons hair cut done here a couple of times. I don't have any complaints on the hair cuts he has had. Today, I walked in saw there was some people already waiting. The youngest lady that was there seem to be greeting the customers as they were coming and kind of keeping track of who came first. As I was waiting I see a guy with a backpack coming in from the entrance adjacent to sherman way. When I think it's our turn, the lady turns around and kind of not too sure who was next says the guy with the backpack. If I saw him when he entered the salon would that mean I was here before him. To begin with this review is long over due. My , Grandmother, Mother, Aunts and I have been coming to Carol for as long as i can remember. This girl can literally do anything. She has taken me back to Blonde from regular box dye around 5+ times already. (Which Carol btw I am so sorry about!). Not only is she the best at doing hair but her personality just makes everything better .Her prices are incredible. I HATE this place. I've only been here two times and both times it was horrible. I only went back the second time because I thought it was pretty cheap for $12 but the lady who did my hair was so rude. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Do not come here! The lady Gloria was pulling my hair so much both times I did my hair here. When I told her how to do my hair she said that that's not even a hairstyle but I told her that's how I want it. So she started cutting my hair and after I saw it when she was done I told her I wanted it shorter and she got mad and started to snip the scissors like she want to cut my neck so badly!! At this point I wanted to just leave but I didn't want to leave with only half my hair done. So I waited and she charged me $15 and I didn't even leave with the haircut I wanted.
