I specifically asked for a balayage, and the stylist said she understood. About 20 minutes in, I started noticing that she wasn't doing anything close to the balayage technique I've had done many times before. Everything was going way too fast, so I mentioned my concern. Long story short, I ended up with highlights, not a balayage. The service itself was also extremely messy. She got product on my jeans and even managed to get dye inside my ear. What upset me even more was that the bleach was left on my hair for way too long, which ended up damaging my hair and causing breakage. So not only did I leave without the balayage I asked for, I left with damaged hair. I spoke with Andrew afterward and explained how disappointed I was. He told me to call back if I wanted them to fix it. I did exactly that and left a message. I was told he would call me back, but I never heard from him. Very disappointing experience from beginning to end. If you're going here for a balayage, I would seriously reconsider. There is a big difference between balayage and highlights, and unfortunately, that difference didn't seem to be understood here. Now I'm left dealing with damaged, broken hair on top of paying for a service I didn't ask for. I definitely won't be returning.

I was told the haircut would be $60, so I booked it. When I arrived, I wasn't even sure I was at the right place because the business name didn't match. Turns out it's just a bunch of stylists renting chairs and advertising under their own names. The space itself is a weird little hole in the wall -- not inviting at all. The door was locked when I got there, and my stylist was nowhere to be found, so another customer -- still in a robe with product in her hair -- had to get up and unlock the front door for me. That set the tone for the rest of the visit. I tried to communicate what I wanted since it was my first time, but my stylist seemed far more interested in talking than listening, so I eventually just let her do her thing. Then we moved to the shampoo station, and the chair was absurdly small and uncomfortable. I mentioned it, and she just chuckled and said, "Yeah, it is pretty small." In the middle of washing my hair, she asked me, "Isn't this relaxing?" -- after I had just told her the chair was uncomfortable. Fluorescent lights blaring overhead, people chatting at full volume in a tiny space, and the world's smallest chair... relaxing is not the word I'd use. I just nodded so I didn't have to answer. Then, while still rinsing my hair, she asked if I wanted styling. I was confused and asked what she meant. She explained that styling would be an additional $60 and would require washing my hair twice. I declined -- I wasn't looking for rollers or anything like that, just a basic cut. We finished up, went back to the chair, and she said she'd dry my hair so I could see the cut better. She roughly dried it, left it still damp, and the haircut looked like something straight out of the early 2000s. At that point, I just wanted to leave. Before I could even stand up, she asked if I had Zelle. I said yes, but reminded her I was told they take credit cards. She said they do, but there'd be a fee and she'd prefer Zelle. I just paid it and got out of there. I walked out into the cold January air with damp hair and ended up with a headache. When I got home, my husband asked me if it was raining outside because of how my hair looked. I just blow-dried it myself and accepted that this was a reminder: make the appointment with the stylist you trust and know that they are doing, even if you have to wait.

I made the appointment because of photos I saw of their work. Jazmine was the blonde specialist so I took a leap of faith because I had a trip to Mexico and couldn't see my hair dresser of 12 years. I showed pictures of what I wanted as to be sure I didn't walk out unhappy. I was left in bleach for over 45 minutes, I know this because I checked the time before I fell asleep and when I woke up with my head warm, I was surprised I was still in foils. When I woke up I saw she started another client, full bleach and color. Her assistant arrived shortly after and checked my foils, I heard her give her what numbers to put in my hair and she said "we're going warm on her." I corrected her and said "oh no remember I like cool tones." I told her this at the very beginning of my appointment. I've been every shade of blonde over the last 7 years, I know what works for me. She then said "oh ya ya I say warm but it'll still have cool tones, I'm a toning specialist, all my blondes come out natural." I naively took her reassurance and kept on. After coming out of the bowl my entire head was a white/yellow, completed different from the photos I showed her. When I spoke up and said maybe I was left in bleach too long, she got defensive and said "ok so now you don't want what you asked for, that's a money piece." She dyed the entire top of my head, there was no money piece. But instead of admitting that it didn't look right she offered to do it again and her demeanor changed. She roughly handled my blow dry and by the time I left my hair was still damp, but was livable. At that point I couldn't wait to leave, she was helping 4 people at once during my appointment. Completely overbooked and thought she could do it all. If I knew it would be like that I would never have gone here. Overall it was unprofessional and to top it off, after the first wash my hair was actually green. I ran to Sally's for help on what I could put. Now after years of loving my blonde hair, I'm dying it darker because that's how bad it looks. No money piece, no shadow root, no cool blonde, just a solid greenish/orange color.I would recommend humility, more professionalism with scheduling, and actually listening to what the client wants. read more

They know what colors would work best and every single time I've trusted them and their process, I'm always elated with the direction they went with! The color holds and looks beautiful for weeks!
