Each time I've left messages; "there were three of us ( Myself and 2 teen daughters) and we'd like to make an appointment with a stylist and/or colorist, who has experience with modern cuts, and amazing color." I left my name and repeated my number 3 times throughout the voicemail. No one called us back, not on Wednesday, not Thursday, and not even today. Just to clarify, I've followed our stylist and colorist to every location they have moved to in the last 8 years. We are devoted family, and we are willing to pay for great service. Unfortunately, my stylist and her colorist opened a salon 2 hours away. So.... I read review's and found the Quote from Radine M., and thought I'd give them a call. THEN....NOTHING.. So today, I found a Salon who returned my phone call, and got my daughter in today ( her hair cut and color are both amazing)... and the rest of us will have our hair done tomorrow!!! So to the owner of Hair Cafe....This is a $450+ (not including tip) missed opportunity, multiply that sum x 6 (we get our hair done every 8 weeks) therefore you've lost $2700 in future business this year..( it's FUN to spell it out, especially in a down economy...just how important it is to RETURN a business call). A very friendly woman named LACEE (prn: Lay-Cee) did my hair and then we chatted for another 20 minutes after the cut about life, Social Media, et al. She's very smart and personable and did a fine job on my difficult hair. I have 7 cow-licks. Ex-cellent work. Would recommend to anyone. Ask for LACEE!!

I was told this was fine and nothing else was mentioned about me running late (no terms of service, etc.). Upon arriving, I was told they double booked my slot and they attempted to move me out 1.5 hours due to being 15 mins late. I was 15 mins behind on the dot. Please note - I am two weeks postpartum, attending the appointment with my husband and newborn, AND called to ensure my later arrival was okay for the salon. Had I known I would be disregarded for my original appt time, I wouldn't have booked the slot. This information was not given over the phone when outreached. The only reason I am giving a star is because they at least refunded my deposit amount. I will not be coming here again and would not recommend this service to others based on my experience.

She told me she wanted to brush it out, as apposed to cutting them all out.. Long story short -It end it ended up taking longer than she had expected and she was apologizing-asked me to come back the next day. I paid her for the work she had quoted and tiped her generously. She cancelled the next day, knowing I had an event planned that weekend-said she didn't have enough time and I'd have to reschedule. She didn't have a single care..probably because I had already paid her. I literally looked like some China doll a 2yo got at w/scissors, it was the worst JOKE- but no joke. I had to go crying to my friends and have them gang up on my hair to help me finish it. And when I looked into what she did do- she literally had only cut the tips off, wet it down, filled it with conditioner and then halfway brushed out 8 of the 23 dreads I had. She totally ripped me off, and did it with a smile.
