Horrible haircut. Plus, without warning, a $25 upcharge because I was a new client. Their customer service was lacking and the overall unprofessional demeanor the staff and the entire experience warranted this rating. Back to the cut...it is uneven and flips up. My hair is not difficult when cut correctly but it is the worst cut, with no attention to the slight beveling required to make it easily stylable. All for $115!!!! DON'T DO IT. read more

Customer service atrocious, I had a great stylist there but she left to become a SAHM and I went back to a new stylist and all she did was tone my hair and I was crying and upset because it was days before my wedding. I did make a scene because of that but I did not deserve the treatment I received. They also had a senior stylist come talk to me about the situation and she even cut a strand of my hair to test on and I never received a call or anything. They banned me from the salon. I one hundred percent spent so much time money and effort with this salon and got the worst treatment and disrespect. read more

I just got my hair trimmed by Jasmine. She was amazing! I dread getting my hair trimmed and usually regret it after they cut off 4-5 inches for a trim. I told Jasmine this and she consulted me every decision she made about length, layers, face framing and asked how I was feeling. I love how my hair turned out; it looks clean and fresh but not noticeably shorter. I will definitely return to her! read more

Number one, she listens! She asks me questions, she makes great recommendations, and she knows the very best techniques - AND knows WHY the technique she has chosen for you IS THE best technique. She doesn't just know a few basic techniques that she uses tweaks to try to please you. Stefani is a true professional. As for the Trios team, I love their service. From the time your first foot enters the door you are being served. Wonderful, wonderful people. You can tell that they receive excellent and consistent training. The best! Period. This was the first time I came in to Trios Aveda and it wasn't a great experience especially towards the end. They assigned me to Meghan who is a trainee, she did a good job but I wish she was more confident and dint go back and forth to her trainer. This scared me and made me uncomfortable. Anyways, I wanted to go shorter on my bangs and had politely requested her, however her coach or mentor, Diana was super snobbish. They shooed me away literally, told me I had to come in again for a bang adjustment. I think this was the rudest client service I have experienced in the entire Fort Collins. Even though I love Aveda products and the salon vibe, Diana made it very uncomfortable and disrespectful. Megan needs to be more confident. I try to update reviews as regularly as possible. Trios is fantastic! The girls up front are great at their jobs, always very sweet and cordial, and will bend over backwards to try to make an appointment/booking work. And BIG kudos to Danae. She is awesome! She's cut my hair and my wife's hair for years. My wife and I have both said that Danae can't ever quit being a stylist at Trios. She will have to retire there. LOL!!! And a BIG shout-out to Naomi. Naomi cut my hair while Danae was out. Actually, I think she cut it twice. She's SUPER sweet, easy to chat with, and very good at her job. I've been looking through some of the negative reviews, so I'm hoping this message gets to some of those problem children (preferably before they make an appt with Trios). If you're one of those impossible to please, over-entitled, had everything handed to you types whose mission in life seems to be to drag everyone into your sad, miserable little world..........go somewhere else. I just walked in like a shaggy dog and I left with a smile and a great cut, thanks to the skills of Diana. I was greeted happily and my appointment (or lack of!) was handled very professionally. I particularly liked that the receptionist let me know, quietly, what the cut would cost. This is a nice way to set customer expectations. Both the business and the customer dislike surprises! A week ago I had my color done at Trios (a great job). I also decided to purchase a home-fragrance oil from a large display right inside the front door (Soap and Paper Company, Vanilla Fleur). I inquired as to the purity of the oil as I am quite sensitive so scents and they assured me they bring in 'clean' products. 3 drops in my diffuser once at home, gave me a horrible headache within 30 minutes. I drove yesterday 32 miles round-trip, to return the oil. They will not stand-by products that are not "Aveda", so I got no refund, no credit, no exchange. Trios should post a "no returns" sign near their display. Think twice before buying anything from Trios that is not "Aveda". read more

I went from Long to medium. I love how light my hair feels now. She was also able to give my hair volume. She showed me some products to help achieved this look and I love them. Not the salon experience it claims to be. The girl who cut my hair was obviously exhausted. Made no effort to have a conversation- which is fine, but at least talk to me about the hair cut. When I mentioned things (how I usually like it cut) she didn't seem pleased that she couldn't just cut my hair and kick me out of her chair. Bleh for $60 I'll pass LOL. I think my hairdresser's name was Kristen. She was mildly awful! I had to explain to her what I wanted 3 times and what I wanted was to have my hair trimmed in general, but to grow my layers back. She seems to have some gender issues - strong ideas about how a woman should have her hair cut versus how a man should have his hair cut (i.e., a woman can't have a man-nish cut). I've had mixed feelings about trios. I love their hair services - I don't have anything bad to say about that. It's the other things that aren't that great. I came in a couple days ago for a pedicure which cost $70. It was average at best. Also, I chose to wear shorts because of how hot it's been and they put down sanitizer on the leather chair and didn't wipe it in. My thighs and legs started to burn and they didn't do anything about it when I mentioned it. When I got home my husband noticed how red and irritated the back of my legs were and they were burning the rest of the evening. The service has been so sub par lately. Bummed. read more

All I knew was what I didn't want and she took it from there. She had wonderful suggestions and I went along for the ride. Over the past few years, I've been in to the spa for massages and pedicures, and just visited the salon for the first time recently. I've had a pleasant experience every time. I love Aveda salons and spas and their overall philosophy. Stylists, massage therapists, and nail techs have all been extremely friendly and professional. Reception staff has been helpful as well. They previously had flexible pricing that made it more affordable to go to the spa during "off-peak" hours, but I'm not sure if they are still offering that option. I really enjoy the experience at Trios and I will continue to go back! read more

I've been here three times now, for both eyebrow waxes and haircuts/color. Although they normally require a color consultation before a first color appointment, I was able to convince the receptionist to let me book an appointment without it, as a consultation was geographically impossible (I live in Boston and am only in FoCo for Thanksgiving). Amber was fabulous with cut and color and knew the fine line about when to be quiet (very important with a stylist!!). I don't remember who did my eyebrows, but they're great too! It's nice to be able to come "home" for vacation and get a great style for a fraction of big city prices. Free hand massages are great too! My wife recently went in for a scheduled haircut at Trios with our son in tow. It wasn't an ideal situation, but she hadn't been able to secure a babysitter and she brought along an arsenal of non noisemaking toys to occupy him. We have done this under different circumstances as necessity dictated. Every parent finds him/herself in that situation from time to time and we're extremely conscientious of the fact that people don't want kids scaling the walls in their place of business. Anyway, she walked in with our son and was immediately greeted by a look of "undisguised disgust" by the receptionist. She was told by the sneering receptionist that "We ask that people leave their children at home for the safety and comfort of our guests." Okay, so I understand the policy, but (a) it hadn't been communicated in advance, and (b) the rudeness with which it was conveyed was epic. My wife (a recurring customer) requested that the receptionist talk to the stylist and the receptionist repeated the same line with the same look of contempt on her face, just as if she were talking to a scam artist. She's now an ex customer, not because of the rule, but because of the treatment. read more

I love going to Trios! It's like a "Mom's Day Out" for me. First, the look of the salon is modern and clean. The staff is friendly and offers me water while I wait. I get my hair done with Faith and she always does a great job. She tells me what would look best and I feel so beautiful by the time I leave. While your color is processing you get a great hand massage and the scalp massage you get when they wash your hair is absolutely wonderful. Had a bad experience with a receptionist and aesthetician. My appointment was confirmed and apparently they had changed their policy on letting sleeping infants go into the spa for waxing, pedicures, etc., which I totally understand and agree with, btw. What I don't agree with is the fact that for a year, I brought her with me every time, while sleeping and never bothered anyone while I had my 10 minute wax procedure completed, and even though they neglected to tell me on the phone that their policy had changed (I had no idea), when I showed up with my daughter, they refused to see me, saying that they told me when they confirmed my appointment. They did NOT. I would have known to get a sitter, which I would have gladly done. Anyway, they refused to see me, and I have never gone back. Horrible customer service! read more

I have been a client of Trios for many years but will not be returning for spa services after today. I went in for a facial this morning which was my first experience in their new location. The new location has a lot to be desired. Instead of the separate area for the spa, the two spa rooms are at the back of the large open space where the styling area is. It does not the feel of going to a "spa". Not only that but the noise level was horrible. It took away from the relaxation level when you heard all the chatter and the people coming and going. The lighting in the room was very harsh which also distracted from the experience. Lauren did a good job with the facial itself but it could not in any way make up for the bad ambience. read more
