I went in for a basic mani pedi after I saw the rave Yelp reviews. The place is very cozy and I was greeted by Emily who promptly began preparing the pedi chair. The pedicure was amazing and included a scrub and hot stone massage! Emily was extremely meticulous and made sure my feet looked and felt amazing. In the meantime, I began to worry because I hadn't put enough time into the meter, so I inquired how often the parking cops came around (LOL). But the gentleman (whom I presumed to be the owner) reassured me it would be ok and proceeded to go outside and feed the meter for me! So sweet. Yesterday I went in for a mani and pedi. I asked for a Lincoln Park After Dark dip on my hands. The manicurist was struggling with the powder not drying, and kept having to redo it. I asked her several times if I should pick another color and she said no each time. By the end, my nails still had uneven spots so she said not to worry she was going to put gel on it. She actually proceeded to put gel polish and top coat on top of my nails with the powder on them. I really didn't want gel on my hands but I didn't complain because I had sat there for so long. Last evening, I saw that most of my nails had large smudges on them. I emailed the salon and when I never got a reply, I went in this morning to have them repaired. I spoke to the owner and said I thought I just needed a new color because there was something not right with what I had got. She wanted to rewrap all of the smudged nails and I had no interest in doing the gel thing again- I don't want gel and I payed for a dip powder. I said I knew I didn't have an appt and might need to wait a bit or come back in a few- she actually had the gaul to ask me to come back on Friday. Today is Wednesday, New Year's Eve. I told her I could not wait til Friday and would need to go somewhere else to have it repaired. Well, she didn't seem to care at all so I left. Guess what? I will never be back and I won't be sending anyone to her place again.

Even if she did she didn't care. I already pay an arm and a leg for treatment so I really didn't appreciate the interrogation. I have been thinking about leaving ever since. I was pressured into paying thousands more without any regard to how I stated this was already a luxury treatment I was struggling to afford. I felt heavily judged. NO ONE, and I mean no one should ask the questions she did. Not even your doctor. When it came to the laser treatment, the woman didn't offer me aloe and skipped past many spots on my leg. She was fast and inefficient. I didn't feel good after leaving, and now my legs look patchy. This place is feeling more and more like a scam.
