I had a wonderful experience with Mari! She touched up my balayage & cut my hair! I knew the whole process was going to take a few hours but chitchatting & conversing with Mari made the time go by quickly. First thing she did was provide me with a warm greeting & went over the Covid questionnaire & checked my temperature. Then she evaluated my hair, let me know what to expect (step by step) asked me questions about my hair (last time it was cut/ had color put in, etc.) went through the different options very thoroughly & I went ahead with her suggestions. Two stars for lying and wasting my time. Arrived exactly at my prearranged time of 345. Arrived just after another person (walked in right before me). Two stylists working. One had a client in chair, the other made eye contact, confirmed my name and appointment, then told me the other stylist would take me as she was just finished and took the other guy who'd come in just before me (no apparent appointment). Waited twenty minutes, neither stylist is anywhere near close to being able to take me so I left and won't return. Not sure what happened, taking a walk in over an appointment seems odd, as does taking three appointments for two stylists. Wish they'd just been upfront when I walked in so I could reschedule and save myself the time I wasted. Bummed as this was my go to spot strictly based on convenience factor. read more

Just discovered this place recently and have been back a couple times already with other family members. Love the convenience of being able to see the wait time online and same day appointments. I took my kids and was in/out in 30 minutes with great cuts! Previously we were going to a different place that was more expensive but the cuts didn't look as good. We went in because my husband had a hard time finding someone close enough (at 10am!). conveniently enough, Supercuts is right across Chevron and a minute from the freeway...so close and easy to access on our way from/to work. Natalie was sweet and professional. She was right to ask us to choose what we wanted from the book. This way, no communication issues. Basically, you will get a haircut comparable to any medium to high end salon for 2/3 or 1/2 the cost. Better yet, this salon is local and the stylist are friendly. Yes,I'll admit I'm one of those snobby people who believed Supercuts could never be as good as a high priced salon. I am wrong. Joselyn is better than any high priced salon I've been to. Did it on a lark since getting in to mine was insane, snd she fixed my hair color issue of 5 years, gave me the cut I wanted, not a version of it, snd sealed my loyalty. Here's the kicker... she was originally who I took my extremely elderly parents for haircuts and she could not have been sweeter to them. Based on that I brought my mother in law who proceeded to give her a horrible time and she just handled it with such grace. I cannot say enough good about Joselyn... Pros: Very short wait for a Saturday Morning. Cons: --Did not have the desired clipper length I like (2.5) --Received a very fast haircut from a stylist who did not seem attentive. --Stylist neglected to allow me to fully review my haircut. --Stylist did not introduce herself Received a bad haircut inexperienced hairstylist. The stylist did not tell me her name but her card had a last name of Donovan. Besides not introducing herself to me Ms. Donovan did not have the clipper length I like (2.5). My hair cut is simple 2.5 on top faded to a 1 on the side. She spent about 5-7 mins on my hair and was very quick despite having no one waiting in the lobby, the result of this was a sloppy fade. It was not until I was driving home when I realized she neglected to put up the mirror so I could she how she cut my hair in the back, it was a poor job as I have a calic which upon examination it is obvious she did not know what to do with. The haircut is one I would expect to receive at a discount from a beauty school, not supercuts. This experience was very much below average from what I have received from other Supercuts in the past. read more

I scheduled on-line for appointment with a stylist we liked. We showed up 20 mins. Early hoping to see if we can get in early. The receptionist said she went to lunch and would not be back until the scheduled time. We left and came back exactly on time to find she had taken someone else. Then told me to wait, it wouldn't be long and she took someone at 10 mins before our appt. when she came back from break. Then there was another stylist that wasnt doing anything. Well it's been 30 minutes past the appt. and she is still not done. What is the point of scheduling if they dont honor the schedule? All she had to do was wait 10 mins. I don't usually go to "chains" for anything hair related, but I was desperate to get my hair straightened and I'm lazy and ignorant as to how to do that myself (am a dude lol). But I knew I should have gone with my instinct because most people cannot handle my hair. I have THICK CURLY (similar to what light skin black/mixed people) type hair. Listen, if you're not white, or if you have curly hair do not go to a Supercuts, UNLESS they THEMSELVES are black OR have curly hair. Two stars cuz the poor girl did her best but these people at these low end salons are simply not trained or practiced enough to handle anything that isn't the "norm". It was such a cringey process (barely used protectant, COMBED my hair- ouch, sectioned my hair into huge chunks, didn't start at the scalp etc.) Bless her for not even charging me full price cuz she KNEW what just happened. I been getting my hair cut at this place for almost more than one year after struggling to find someone good to cut my hair. I used to drive almost an hour to Lawndale, CA to get my hair cut done all the time, which is like 60 minutes away from my house because I couldn't find a replacement for my current hair stylist at that time. Came to Super Cuts and gave them a try since driving for one hour to get your cut is not fun at all. Walked in a very friendly young lady Amanda welcomed me with a very nice smile. I was nervous because each time I tried a new hair stylist they would never do a great job. Amanda was very nice and did all I said on my hair and left it great. I've been looking for a less aggressive place in Moorpark, CA to get my buzzcut (last time I went to the other "chain" salon it felt like I was being scalped and they regularly left uneven patches of hair). . .and I'm happy to say I've found it! This Supercuts is staffed by the friendliest people. Susan greeted me when I arrived, took my info and type of cut desired (because they keep track of their clients needs +1!) and then she took me to Michelle's station. Michelle did a GREAT job cutting my hair. Also, Supercuts has a maintenance program for people that get single digit clipper cuts. Come back within 10 days of your first cut and they will perform a maintenance cut for a small fee. I am very pleased with my visit and will definitely go back. Great Atmosphere, fast service but Mariam destroyed my hair I told her to fade from a 3.5-2 but faded it too highly up on the sides and it ended up looking un faded. The back looked poor and was done lazy. She also cut too much off the top. There are probably better stylists and it's a nice place. read more
