Always happy with the haircut even though I have never had my hair cut by the same person in 20 years. Problem in the last year or so is getting an appointment as you may have to wait an hour if you are a walk in. I like to have an appointment but many times nobody answers the phone when trying to make an appointment and the mailbox is full so one cannot leave a message. I say this as I am trying to make an appointment right now, no answer and mailbox full. Very frustrating. read more

I've been cutting my own hair for a while, due to health concerns and generally undatisfying haircut experiences in the past (not at this location). But stylist Lisa instantly clicked with exactly what I wanted. Lisa dealt with my gnarly cowlicks like they were nothing, and paid great attention to detail. My son loves getting his hair cut at this Supercuts. Every hair dresser he has had has been kind, very sweet to him and always makes sure he's happy (which at 6 years old...can be challenging). The wait is not usually very long, maybe 20 minutes if that, without a pre-arrival check in online. They are very reasonably priced for both kids and adults haircuts and they have lollipops for the kids when they are done. Great location and value. Will continue to be a customer. read more

Normally I'm not a huge fan of retail-chain salons, but I really needed a haircut the other day and Supercuts was the nearest place with people who work with scissors. So naturally, I went. Upon entering Supercuts, I strolled right up to the counter and...waited for two minutes for the person in front of me to finish paying her haircut tab. But as soon as she got out of the way, I stepped up and proclaimed, "I'd like a Supercut, please!" The woman behind the counter laughed and assured me that I would indeed receive a Supercut momentarily. Then she told me to sit down. I headed towards a seat in the waiting area, right next to the magazine rack. In one smooth motion, I sat down while plucking last month's issue of Esquire magazine out of the rack. No sooner had the seat of my shorts reached the chair did the woman who had promised me a Supercut call my name. I looked up, and she beckoned. I followed her to a chair and as I sat down, my hairdresser-for-the-day asked me how I wanted me hair cut. I pointed at the 'do sported by the dashing model behind the shampoo station. And we got down to business. When all was said and done, I had a thoroughly refreshed head of hair that looked not too dissimilar from that on the model I had pointed out earlier. I really like this Supercuts. So much so, that I actually drive out of my way to go here. My hairstyles don't change wildly, so I'm a pretty easy customer. The one thing I do like about this place is some of the "exploring" I've done here. I usually come in with a picture, and they cut it pretty close, but sometimes it's a bit different, with a pleasant end result. I've gotten to rock a faux hawk, had a Ceaser, and various other cuts that I would never ask for, not because I don't want them, but because I just am not adventurous. Obviously if you have very specific, demanding standards your going to want the same person all the time, but if your like me, and your cool working in a framework, jumping between different hairstylists at this Supercuts is a way to constantly reinvent yourself. My hair has been out of control for such a long time. I've tried expensive beauty salon with no luck. I was in the neighborhood, spotted this Supercuts as I drove by, thought to myself I really can use a cut! I turned around, asked the receptionist how long the wait was. She informed me 15 minutes. I told her I had total of 30 minutes till my appointment and if she thought it's possible to be done in 15 minutes. She reassured me with a yes! To my great surprised it was my turn in 15 minutes and the best haircut I have had for a long time in 10 minutes under $20 dollars. I've gone here many times and left disappointed. I say out of the past 10 times I've come here I have had one decent haircut. My last time coming here a woman with glasses and blond king curly hair cut my hair, I have curly hair so I asked if she could dry cut it and she acted as if I just asked the most complicated favor ever. ( I'm a guy and like it dry cut because when it's cut wet it shrinks when dry and is shorter than I asked for always) I didn't think this was an absurd question as any other time and place I've gotten a cut no barber ever had an issue with doing this. she then proceeded to wet my hair anyway, without asking. I then specifically asked her not to cut two parts of my hair at all for the way I style my hair and she fully cut the two pieces, the shortest they have ever been cut and my hair and hairline look ridiculous. I also asked her to first cut my hair with scissors, which she did, but then I realized I'd like it just a bit shorter so I asked if she would use clippers but hesitantly and politely, to which she shrugged and said " it won't make much of a difference" after an awkward pause she reached for the clippers and cut my sides and back of my head with the clippers in about 10 seconds. My hair cut and shape is actually F***** and unfixable I will just have to wait for it to grow out. She wasn't friendly, didn't try to talk, this Supercuts just obviously doesn't care about who they hire and it shows. Won't ever be coming back and will make sure others are warned before they decide to get a haircut here. I am the total opposite of a high-maintenance-specialized-hairdo person. My long hair just got way too long to wrangle in this summer humidity, and I needed about eight inches cut off so I could just twist it up off my neck and clip it with a big barrette. I walked into the Supercuts salon in North Andover, MA, was attended to immediately by a very pleasant and efficient stylist, and in five minutes, it was done! No annoying upselling of products or styling enhancements at all, for which I was truly grateful, because that stuff makes me feel anxious and uncomfortable. (If I want something extra, I'll tell you.) So -- it was a delightfully quick, no-nonsense experience, which I greatly appreciated! I went to the super it's in no. Reading a month ago and got butchered. But I wanted to get my bangs cut before surgery so I went to No. Andover. Told her I wanted my bangs at the bottom of my eyebrows. My bangs are now 1/4 of an inch above. She also cut the straight across they were rounded. I also had to cut all the hairs she missed. Went to get a wax. The person I normally go to elsewhere was not available. I called in advance to see if they did "facial waxes." The response was "no we do lip, eyebrow and chin." Last time I checked that was on the face. Unfortunately I was stuck and needed to get it done. The wax was cakey. When I told them this the response was "its up all the way." When I pointed things out to clean it up more the response was "oh they're stubborn huh?" The products they used made me feel dirtier than I was before I walked in. So i just got a haircut from this supercuts at this location. I told the lady what i wanted and she totally didn't listen. I had curly hair with a few knots. It took two women to straighten my hair out. Let me say, they didn't even listen to me saying that it hurt so much because the radio in the background was a little louder than our voices. I am a local customer who has been coming here for 15 years along with my son. We've always found a good stylist for a basic men's cut that we got attached to until she left. I have to say that the staff is always welcoming and personable. I always call ahead and request a particular stylist so I won't have to take my chances on someone new. But what happened with the furniture? When they redid the waiting area, they removed the attractive comfortably cushioned seating and replaced it with these awful hard plastic black chairs. Not customer friendly at all and you won't want to sit there long. What were they thinking? Seems like the place is going downhill. I feel bad for the stylists as they have no control/input over what goes on there and don't seem to stay as long anymore. Maybe a new manager could help? read more

Not going there again.This place is less than a mile away from my house, despite being such a convenient option I wont be getting a haircut from them after being refused to be serviced twice. Once almost an hour before closing and today 10 mins before closing. I should not even have to mention the time because the location was open. But after reading other reviews it seems to be a normal practice for this place to refuse customers based on the employees moods and preference. I have been a customer for years in this store at North Andover. Usually I go there for cut, simple blow and simple wash. They charge me around $30.00(current price) plus tips. Today they suddenly charged me $39.00 plus tips with the same service. I asked them the price increases again? they told to me since they cut longer than usual time(exact same service: cut, simple blow and simple wash as before). I were shocked. I check their prices both online and on store price list. None of these kind of service and extra charge. The over time charge should be on the table instead of giving customers surprise!!! the stylist said maybe we chatted longer(I know this stylist and use her for years.) Not the best haircut around, but you get what you pay for. It is pretty much always the cheapest haircut around. As long as you don't ask for something too fanciful, they can accomodate you. It is mostly young beauty school graduates who don't have much experience. However, you never really have to wait that long there and it is pretty much in and out. I guess this place is ok if your barber or stylist is closed for the day. read more

Today, I called ahead and was told the wait was 20-25 minutes, I arrived in 20 minutes, and checked in at the front desk. I waited and waited to be called. Finally after 75 minutes I left. Talk about poor customer service. How about a little honesty upfront. Plus you never know who your going to get. Every time you leave with a different style. Im really disappointed for the second time. I went to Super cuts to get my hair cut and colored at 9:30 this morning today and also a couple of weeks ago at 9 am. Both times I was told I would have to wait until after 11 am to have this done. I was told both times that they only had one certified colorist and one hair cutting person on the floor and that they could not give up one of their stylists at the risk of loosing a person to cut hair for the next hour and a half. Really? I thought it was first come first serve? Apparently getting your hair colored is a back seat priority to getting a hair cut. Even though it costs much much more. Both times there were only 2 male customers in the salon waiting for their hair to be cut and 2 customers in the chairs. I would like to know why if you have a certified colorist working, why she would not be able to accommodate me. I am a long standing customer here (many many years), but I am so frustrated my schedule did not allow me to wait until after 11 AM that I will seek out a new salon that can meet my needs in the morning. I cant keep putting my whole day on hold because Super Cuts decided that their needs in serving possible future hair cuts took priority over me standing there asking for a service. Apparently a few future 15.00 hair cuts were way more important than a 100.00 service (cut, color, product and tip). Time to look for someone new :/ read more
