Favorite stylist EVER. My hair can be pretty difficult to work with as it is very thick, but Christine was amazing. She gave me a lot of tips on how to deal with the texture. anyone with long hair knows how much time it takes to grow and how precious it is to you! especially in anticipation for my wedding i had been growing my hair out for almost two years, and was very particular about who i would let touch my hair. right after moving to boston i went to a well known, well rated salon to get a trim and color, and that salon didn't listen to what i wanted, chopped my beautiful long hair and completely butchered the blonde. needless to say i was completely devastated and cried (literal tears) until i found @the.balayage.bar, christine fit me into her crazy busy schedule, listened to me cry about my recent salon horror story and reassured me she could make my wedding hair dreams come true, and O M G did she ever! now the only tears i'm crying are happy tears, i truly can't thank you enough, as i told you today i literally owe you my life. if you're in boston and need your hair done i cannot stress how amazing christine is! i had three appointments with christine, a consultation, trim and color, and extension installation and trim. the first photo is before, the second is after the color, and the third fourth and fifth photos are after the extension installation. in addition to being an amazing stylist christine is so fun to hang out with and talk to! i have never had hair extensions and have only dyed my hair twice in my life, so needless to say i had no idea what this process looked like, but christine made it super easy to understand. through the entire process christine checks in with you to understand exactly what you want and execute your vision. after coming off such a terrible experience with another salon christine made me feel really heard and understood. i have a million more good things to say about her but i'll leave it at that! read more

Christine and Jennifer did a wonderful job on our wedding day for me and my bridal party. Jennifer and I did a great bridal trial in the summer of 2020, where we tried a few styles and played with a few ideas, and I settled on a braided bun. On the morning of our wedding, she remembered exactly what we'd chosen even though the wedding ended up being almost a full year later because we had to postpone! She and Christine were both professional, warm and fun, and made all of my bridesmaids and my mom and my husband's mom very comfortable on the morning of our wedding. Hair Not only has Christine transformed my hair into the best it's ever looked in my whole life, she has also made it the most healthy it's been, and the blondest it's been..in a LONG time. How is that possible you ask? Well.. I'm not really sure.. but Christine works hair magic! I recently moved to NYC from Boston and travel back monthly to see Christine. Her balayage is always toned to the perfect hue and looks just like I have asked for- I always bring pictures, she imitates them. I came across Christine's site years ago after my longtime hairdresser moved, but as I generally waited until the last minute and I knew she had a long waitlist, I never had the time to wait. After bouncing around to several salons and stylists over the course of several years, never quite finding one I was happy with, I decided to book an appointment. Her soonest available was six months out, so I took it which is the best decision I've made. Christine took quite a bit of time at the beginning to find out what I have liked and not liked over the years, and then considered my skin tone and eye color to come up with the most beautiful, natural color I could imagine. She was able to even out and tone down years of patchy and alternating bleach blonde and dark brown sections of hair that I had given up on, and made me finally feel like myself again. Christine's studio is bright and cheery, felt incredibly safe COVID-wise (it was only the two of us), and she was so easy and fun to talk to that three hours flew by.
