I was confused at first with how things went about at this salon. I'm use to going somewhere and they do their thing. Word of advice, at Supercuts you need to tell the hair stylist exactly what you want done. MEANING, wash/condition, cut, blow dry and style. Each process has a separate cost that is tallied up at the end. With that said, my hair stylist was awesome. She brought to my attention my hair was coming out at an alarming rate. I knew this, but thought it was normal, which it isn't. She explained that I needed to change my shampoo for a better one. I had recently switched it over to a cheap brand and didn't realize that would be an issue. Thanks to her, I now can properly take care of my hair. Yolanda cut and styled my hair exactly like the picture that I had shown her. Total cost of $54, excluding tip, is a steal to what I'm use to paying. I'm a person who knows exactly what they want no changes always the same thing this stylist decided to not listen to what I wanted and put her own SPIN on things without telling me anything my hair is uneven as all he!! I went to take my son in for a haircut. I walk in there's like five people sitting down, waiting and only one hairstylist cutting hair then in Spanish she proceeds to complain that there are too many people for her to cut hair then in English she proceeds to tell me that it's very busy today felt very unwelcome. Got there at 11:20 ended up leaving at noon because I got tired of waiting. read more

I am extremely disappointed in this hair salon. Their nail salon lacks communication with customers and is unprofessional. I came in the second time on the same day just wanting a shorter cut than what I previously got. I was willing to pay twice because I was receiving service. I told the same lady that what I got the first time was specifically what I wanted but and inch shorter. She did not ask me to clarify but I still told her word for word that I loved what she did with my hair early but I just wanted shorter in length. I still wanted the soft layers but I wanted my hair cut shorter. I then showed her how short I wanted it and I showed her twice. Regardless, she probably did not pay attention because she did the exact opposite. I was not rude or impatient. I complimented her skills and told her what I wanted her to do, in addition, I waited for her to finish her other customer. I also asked her if I could see how short she would cut my hair before doing the layers and she replied with "no." Is that how it is at every salon? I can't simply just see how short you cut my hair? Since I was younger, I thought it was impolite to talk back so I let her cut my hair and believed that she understood what i meant. I repeated what I wanted about three times just in case she didn't understand but she cut my hair earlier so I thought she knew what I meant. After she cut my hair, it was much shorter than I asked for and these layers were not cut properly (what I was told by a more expensive hair salon in wellington). In the end, I had to go to a different hair salon and cut a lot of my hair to get rid of most of the layers. read more

Terrible experience! The stylist did not listen to me nor understand what I wanted. I showed her a picture and she just glanced and said okay...I asked for a mirror to see the back cut and she continued to ignore me. She was getting aggravated with me, when I told her to cut in layers and frame my face because that's what I wanted. I only spent a TOTAL of 10 minutes getting my hair cut. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had and she had the nerve to ask for a tip. read more

I walked into this Supercuts (Forest Hill location) for a simple cut and dry. I have short, chin-length hair. (Classic bob) I was told that the price would be $28 for the cut, and ANOTHER $28 for the blow dry. With tax, this would have cost me $60 without a tip. Ludicrous! I walked out. I have to say, I no longer see Supercuts as having value for the services it offers. For that price, I usually get a hand massage and glass of wine on top of the cut. This place is unpredictable. I usually pop in ever so often to have my hair blow dry. My hair is a short bob. The price varies between $25 to $30. Today a different girl blow dried my hair and in the process told me it's gonna be $45 and $15 if I wanted her to use the flat iron. Are they out of there mines.. I started complaining to the stylist and then she said I'll charge you the same price as before. WTH.. She didn't know how to check me out and the manager checked me and my bill was $20. I took my middle school son here. I explained that I wanted to keep the top/bangs long with the back and sides short. The woman messed up and in trying to fix her mistakes, ended up shaving his entire head completely bald. My son ran out of the place in tears and then the hairdresser said "well you shouldn't have told me to cut it like that!" Um, did I ask you to shave his head? If I wanted that, I have a razor at home! It was horrible. My son was so embarrassed to go to school. Worst experience ever. read more

Christy has excellent customer service skills. She approached me as soon as I walked through the door, put my name on a list and then let me know how long I would have to wait. Her guesstimate was very accurate. When I got in the chair, she listened when I told her what I wanted. She communicated with me during my shampoo and haircut -- not too chatty, not too quiet. Apparently closing at 5pm really means 4:40pm. I've been going here for 2 years since I moved to this area. The service has been OK, never great, but it's close to my house. It literally takes 10 min to cut my hair (trust me they always rush though it so they can get a customer with more services for a bigger tip) and I always tip $5 because I know how hard it is to work in the service industry. With another long week of travel for work ahead, I wasn't able to get to the store earlier, but I arrived with plenty of time for a quick haircut and they'd be out of the there at 5pm. I was immediately told they were closed, even though two stylest were literally standing by their stations doing not nothing. I let the girl know it only takes 10 min for me and they were open for another 20 min, but she just repeated"sorry sir we're closed". Apparently they don't need the money and they really wanted to prove their 2 star average on Yelp didn't really matter as well. Tip: Great customer service is what makes a business thrive.
