I had such a wonderful experience at Supercuts! The front receptionist was extremely friendly and warm, and my wait time was less than two minutes, which was such a nice surprise. After a year of no haircuts (pregnancy + 7 months postpartum), my hair was dry, heavy, and lifeless. Angelica completely revived it! She cut off all the damaged ends, gave me the most beautiful curtain bangs and layers, and took her time to make sure everything looked perfect. She truly has such a good hand and an eye for detail. Update to my 5 star review. Anjelika wasn't available so I got a cut from Angela. I asked for a 1/2" trim but she cut about 3" off and left uneven long bits at the back. I don't understand why stylists cut more than asked for, but it's too late once it's cut. I went back for the long bits to be trimmed but then it was crooked. read more

Best haircuts I've ever had. For some reason, I've had 3 haircuts here, and every time, I walk out feeling skeptical, like "well it's a cut but I don't know if it looks good," but when I see myself in the mirror at home, I have quickly realized, 3 times in a row, "this is the best haircut I've ever gotten." Check in system is a complete joke. Checked in at 12 noon and earliest haircut was at 1:40 which is fine. We arrive at the store 10 minutes before our appointment only to be told that there are 6 people ahead of me and we would be looking at an additional roughly 45 minutes of wait but up to one hour. I've had good experiences here before but today was soooooo great! Yeah, I spent a good chunk of my lunch break there, but it was because Kyla (not sure of spelling) was fun to talk to and did a great, thoughtful job! I hadn't had a hair cut in at LEAST a year and a half so getting it cut was a little nerve racking. But when I told her what I wanted she knew exactly what to do. She made sure I was absolutely ok with losing 7 or 8 inches. And then checked in and made sure things were ok with me along the way. It was a very simple cut, but it made such a huge difference. The last time I chopped off half my hair was a serious adjustment period. But I feel completely satisfied and at-home with the cut Kyla gave me... NO REGRETS! Took my son there today for a haircut, my son like to keep his hair on the longer side. The stylist Jenny asked how he wanted his hair, I said trimmed for a funeral. She proceeded to use the clippers & gave him a crew cut, but left the front long. She also left his sideburns. Ridiculous! When I said something to her, she said " your son wants you to stop" what! This lady is a joke and should not be doing hair at all. Teach me to go to a Supercuts. Save your money. This place sucks! read more

Horrid customer service. I called in the morning to schedule an appointment. They said they could do a reservation for 3:30 to get my hair washed, trimmed, and blow dried. I got there at 3:20. At 3:30 new people started coming through the door and they begun taking others before me, even though I had a reservation. 40 minutes later at 4:10 a lady called me up to the front desk and said they couldn't do the services with me because they were planning on closing by 5. I told her I had an appointment for 3:30 and I just need my hair trimmed or blowdried and she said they couldn't do it for me because they don't do appointments they just do "reservations." I always get a great haircut at the SLO location with Angelica. Today there were only two stylists on duty. Robin n Angelica. Plus Ginger The Who answers the phones n checks us in. Had some time between meeting so I stopped in for a trim. My last haircut was awful so I was I need of maki g it right. Angelica was terrific. She greeted me warmly and sat me in her chair immediately. She listened to how I wanted my hair cut and executed perfectly. If I was from the area she would be my go to stylist. I showed up before they opened and was the first person in. I was not taken back to a chair. A woman walked in and was immediately escorted back. I asked if they take reservations, and the person behind the cash register said "no, we are first come first serve, but you can call ahead and get on the waiting list" I asked why was the other customer seated before me? She responded, "that customer requested the stylist over there". I informed her that was, in fact, a reservation. She said no, the customer requested that stylist. I did state to her the fact that she could still have that stylist after my hair cut was complete. She looked confused. My only assumption is that Supercuts on Madonna does, in fact, take reservations. When you call, just find out what stylists are working and request one of the names that are rattled off. Supercuts is the worst place to go if you need more detail to long and thick hair. I received the worst haircut in my life from Joyful. It's been almost 2 years and it's just starting to grow back, I still have another year to go before I get back my desired length. I had my hair cut yesterday and felt that the hair stylist did not listen the hair style I wanted. A moment later she said I am going to use the number 8 on the clippers. She acted like I knew what she was talking about I feel that this hair cut was not done correctly.Because this hair style is half of a done by being called a scissors cut. Also the hair length above the ears are not eve. So I hope when my hair grow out I like it did like before it was cut. read more

I came in and was seen by Joy who was great!!! However as I started looking around I realized most of the stylist were not wearing masks and only face shields. That made me a bit uncomfortable but I assumed they must have air purifiers around since the door was also closed and there were no windows. Upon leaving I asked the manager/receptionist about what precautions they were taking and she said telling me that information would violate Hyppa regulations... ‍ I was stunned and it made me instantly feel unsafe. I then looked behind me and there was straight up a dude who wasn't even wearing a mask sitting by the closed door. I had just gotten Covid--even after being vaccinated, so I knew that the variant could easily spread in this type of environment. I would not recommend this place if you are not wanting to contract Covid. read more

Receptionist was not versed in any sort of customer communication. gave us a 20min wait time that we patiently let lapse into almost over an hour, then when confronted about the duration of the wait, she informed us two people checked in before us(which would be near to impossible seeing as she had already given us a wait time...)- and it would be another 40minutes. BUT I called for an appointment on 4/13, was told my stylist had an opening at noon, showed up at 1150 and the gentleman who made my reservation confirmed my noon appointment and asked me to have a seat. My stylist finished her current customer at 1205 and then cleaned her area. I thought great Im next! Nope. The stylist took someone else! The gentleman at the front desk said "I'm sorry I don't know what happened". THIS is the 2ND time this has happened to me at this location. So I left, and may never go back. read more

Before I wrote this review I wanted to come to this location a few time prior to putting in my review. As with all chain type stores the review is both against the brand, the people, and how the certain store represents the brand and service to the customers. With that the store is fully representing quality with a personal touch. Walking in you are met with a friendly person who engages while also getting us to our haircut and out the door. Having multiple haircuts at this location all the stylists have done a great job while finding that balance of being friendly but focusing on the haircut. Think what you will on doing business with larger brands but this location is a great place to get a haircut and you get in and out in no time. One tip and should not be a surprise to all Yelpers but don't forget to check in. A lot of times this place has great check in coupons! read more

Possibly the best haircut experience of my life. I am trans masculine and this was my first short haircut ever-- I've practically had the same haircut since I was six years old. I walked in prepared but very nervous, to say the absolute least. When I was greeted by my stylist, Joyful, all my fears subsided. I told her exactly what I wanted and she went above and beyond to help me get my hair exactly how I wanted it. She even made notes on how to cut my hair so she knows how to do it next time I come in.
