I'm happy to call you after I wake up at 9pm or before I wind down to go to sleep before 8am if you'd like, but out of consideration, I avoided calling you during inconvenient times. I've never cancelled an appointment that I can recall, so I would be interested in the date that I cancelled. If I did, which I find hard to believe, it was definitely with more than reasonable notice. It's comparing apples to oranges, though. I'm sure you could easily fill the spot I cancelled. I can't call and make another appointment with a few hours notice. I'm sorry that those things happened but ultimately, I was unable to get my hair done over many months with your salon. It would have been stellar customer service to try to accomodate me after cancelling on me twice without me having to wait another two months (which would have been a total of four months since my original appointment) or at least offered me some compensation before I wrote a review. The fact that you didn't isn't necessarily a terrible thing, I just have no incentive to make an appointment when I have zero confidence it will actually be kept.

I had no idea what to do with it, other than grow it out again, but I was tired of that cycle, too, since I've done it several times in the past decade. It's also going pretty grey in spots and I'm not sure another 'tail would work for those wig organizations because of that. I needed someone to just make a decision about my hair and cut it. My husband half-jokingly suggested I take his clippers, buy some gel and go for the Annie Lennox look and I was actually OK with that. Christina took on the challenge. I went in on a whim on Saturday, for an impromptu birthday hair cut. My hair is VERY long, and I don't cut it very often, but when I do, I am pretty particular about what I want. They were very busy and I had to wait a few minutes, but it was totally acceptable and worth the wait. They seemed to get me in as quickly as possible while still trying to give everyone their best. I believe an older woman, 'Santa', forgive me if im wrong had started me with a wash, which was perfect. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it done. She really took her time and put some beautiful layers and a nice choppy side bang for me. It was a huge deal for me! She blew my hair, flat ironed and curled it. It was a huge amount of work and I really left feeling beautiful and thrilled! She complemented me so many times, it was such a great experience. She also gave me some great tips for my hair type and care. I will absolutely go back to her for my next cut. I have found someone I not only that I feel confident that can cut my hair properly, but I really liked her personality and attention to detail! 100 Stars! read more

When I met the stylist Frank I showed him a picture to similar of what I was trying to achieve. He led to a very uncomfortable shampoo station where he rushed it along and then seated .e in a chair to proceed with my cut. He then asked me in confusion so are we doing a blunt cut. I replied by telling that I explained what I did and did not want to. I was nervous the entire time and told him so but he kept responding with dont worry you are going to love it. When he was half through I knew something was wrong but ignored it. I had been through this before and did not want to to complicate the situation. He finished the very short cut and began to blow dry when I knew it was all wrong, but because I had a big event coming there was t more anything g could be done. I was not going to let him fix a bad cut to make it worse. He finished and I proceeded to pay. My card was expired I must ha e grabbed the wrong one. So embarrassing so I offered to drive him to get the right one and reassured I would e back to honor the payment. Next two days we're When I could reslly see the shape and style of his work. I decided to gat a second opinion and spoke to other qualified stylists that both agreed the layers were to short, the bottom was square a d boxy and nothing blended. I called Frank to arrange for him to see the cut after my first shampoo and we met. I expressed my disappointment and his response was too confident a d dismissive of my concerns. I left angry and decided to ask for a refund. He has not replied. Very unprofessional salon and so dissapointed.

I missed my 2nd appointment during an exceptionally difficult period in my life. I had just started a new job and was unexpectedly traveling between MA, Fl and Minnesota to help my 20-year-old son, who as of 3 weeks ago uses a wheelchair, get to a Traumatic Brain Injury specialist at Mayo Clinic. What bothered me wasn't simply the missed appointment fee. It was the LACK of Communication leading up to it. I never received a reminder because I was never asked if I wanted to opt in to or out of appointment reminders. When I didn't arrive, there was also no attempt to call or text to see if I was running late or if SOMETHING HAD HAPPENED. The first communication I received was the charge for the missed service on my credit card, not even from AshNHoney!!! I completely understand small salons need cancellation and no-show policies to stay in business, especially the location of AshNHoney, not exactly ideal or a nice area. My concern is that that customer service seemed to end where the policy began. A quick phone call could have determined whether I had forgotten, was delayed, or was dealing with an emergency. My first appointment the salon made an outreach call and text message to tell me "I could come to my scheduled appointment early since they had unexpected time available. When it benefits them financially to call come early to your appointments it also benefits them financially for you to miss your appointment, with no reminders in advance or calls when a customer doesn't show. Businesses are free to enforce their polices, and customer are free to decide whether those policies reflect the kind of relationship they want with a business. For me, the experience felt impersonal, when I sent a note saying the fee wasn't cool and explained the situation with my son, the owner simply replied "do you want to reschedule" LMAO. It was disappointing, especially considering that no reminder was sent and no effort was made to contact me before charging the fee. So if a customer was in the hospital after a car hit them, or a flat tire on the side of a road - AshNHoney still charge their fee. When a company that services its community cares so little about the community they run a business - I need not continue to support that business. My experience is I will be investing my hard earned money somewhere that is THRIVING doing business versus SURVIVING by charging for no service provided.
