I had a haircut at this salon on June of this year and I am extremely disappointed and angry at the result of my cut. I previously had very long hair and was looking for a fresh new look. When I met the stylist Frank I showed him a picture to similar of what I was trying to achieve. I also showed him him pictures of what I did not want.I clearly specified to avoid bob style haircuts and short layers as .y hair is wavy and becomes hea y and bulky. He led to a very uncomfortable shampoo station where he rushed it along and then seated .e in a chair to proceed with my cut. He then asked me in confusion so are we doing a blunt cut. I replied by telling that I explained what I did and did not want to. I was nervous the entire time and told him so but he kept responding with dont worry you are going to love it. When he was half through I knew something was wrong but ignored it. I had been through this before and did not want to to complicate the situation. He finished the very short cut and began to blow dry when I knew it was all wrong, but because I had a big event coming there was t more anything g could be done. I was not going to let him fix a bad cut to make it worse. He finished and I proceeded to pay. My card was expired I must ha e grabbed the wrong one. So embarrassing so I offered to drive him to get the right one and reassured I would e back to honor the payment. Next two days we're When I could reslly see the shape and style of his work. I decided to gat a second opinion and spoke to other qualified stylists that both agreed the layers were to short, the bottom was square a d boxy and nothing blended. I called Frank to arrange for him to see the cut after my first shampoo and we met. I expressed my disappointment and his response was too confident a d dismissive of my concerns. I left angry and decided to ask for a refund. He has not replied. Very unprofessional salon and so dissapointed. read more

Very disappointed in my experience at Adesso. I have been coloring my hair for years and have never had such a nightmare result. Walking in, I wanted some blonde highlights for the summer. Walking out, I had purple streaks, chunky highlights (ew), a perfect root line around my forehead, and bleed marks from the color that bleached my hair and left spots around my face that I actually thought were bald!!! I went back to ask what the deal was and was told thats just how it is. It was so bad I had to drop another $150 to go get it fixed at another salon. Capelli Avanti on Grove St took me right away and saved me from looking like a fool. read more

Lucia is hands down the best stylist in the central MA area. I have never been more satisfied with my hair color and cut. I am almost 42 and get constant compliments on my hair where ever I go. She also styles it for special occasions when I need it. She is so reasonably priced and has gone above and beyond to work around my busy schedule for 3 years now. She is just amazing. I love seeing her- she has also done my daughter's hair twice for semi formals. I have been many places and this woman has satisfied me at every visit. Visit Lucia as soon as possible. She is not only a kind and special friend- she is second to NONE in the hair buisness. She's a GEM. read more

I just graduated from Holy Cross in Worcester MA and I'm so angry I found this place so late during my 4 yrs. I got a haircut my senior yr and it was the best haircut I've ever gotten! I wish he moved to Boston where I'm at now. Have Nardi cut your hair, he's Albanian and very polite with his customers. He basically pampered me by washing my head and gelling it up for me just how I wanted. It cost something like $17 exc. tip and for that you can't beat the price with the service/attention that you receive. If you're in Worcester and not getting a haircut by Nardi, you're doing it wrong. The ladies love it! read more

I went to Adesso Hair Salon (108 suit 114 Shrewsbury Street, Worcester, MA. (508) 757-7977) for the first time last week for a haircut. I drive by this salon every day and the large picture windows with a view into the salon leaves the potential client interested in going in to give them a try. Well, that's at least how I felt. I walked in to my appointment and the place was dead- there was only one stylist (with a customer) and one other person sitting on the couch. (BTW, the couches are extremely uncomfortable. They must have been purchased because they look cool.) I was not greeted in any way when I walked in. I understood because the stylist was with a client, so I gave him some leeway here. I was finally greeted after the stylist had finished with his customer and answered a call on his cell phone. The stylist ended up being the person who I had made an appointment with, (F.). He looked very unprofessional, unlike someone who works at high end hair salon. I showed him a photo of the hairstyle that I liked from a book they had, as well as several pictures of similar hair styles that I brought with me. He told me he understood what I wanted and proceeded to bring me to the sink to wash my hair before cutting. The sink station was incredibly uncomfortable and he was scrubbing my head in a very rough way like he was washing a wet dog. Usually this is one of the most relaxing things about going to a salon! Not here. His combing and cutting style was very rough too. The comb he used was the black thin kind that kids used to be given in middle school for picture day or to check for lice. All throughout my appointment he was distracted by the other person who was there when I first arrived- they were talking about where he put his car keys. I'm not sure what the relationship between the two was, but it was a clear distraction from what I was paying him to do. He also answered his cell phone in the middle of my appointment. When he was finished, my hair looked straight and flat, and nothing at all like any of the pictures I showed him. He didn't even show me the back of my hair to make sure I liked how he cut it. Good thing I was going directly home or I would have been embarrassed to be seen in public. F. told me that they have been open on Shrewsbury St. for about a month now and that they recently moved to this location from their June Street location (due to an argument with the owners, for which he was one of them...?) Over all, the salon was awful. No music playing- absolute silence. I was not greeted when I arrived, nor was I asked if I wanted anything (most salons will offer at least a glass of water). I will never go in there again and wanted to warn others about the lack of professionalism in this salon. The location might be great, but the service sucked. And, this is the response I got from them "what kind of person are you!!!! you get a haircut talked bad about it!!!! we dont need people like you!!! because you go around salons and talked bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Worst highlights I have ever gotten. I decided to try this place out after seeing a groupon. I made an appointment to get FULL highlights and walked out with less than partial. My highlights were sparse and symmetrical and therefore very unnatural looking. Definitely not going back. Also Frank inappropriately hit on me the whole time. Squeezed my cheeks and my legs. Had an appointment to do my hair for a wedding... Called to confirm the appointment and the person who was doing my hair had not arrive and the answer they gave me was that they had NO IDEA if he was going to show up. I bid on a series of services at a charity event so I went to this salon for a try. The first time I got one of the best blow drys ever. Came out perfect as well as a miracle conditioner that made my hair glen. Don't know what they used but it was wonderful. During the service I was asked if I wanted a cut. Since I had a cut recently and wear my hair long I said another time. Clearly this did not please the stylist. During my time at the salon my stylist had a long protracted conversation with another stylist in Albanian shouting over the sound of blow dryers. Still the beautiful blow dry won me over. My next visit was the same rude treatment but a great blow dry. During the time of my service I was bAdgered over and over to allow him to cut my hair. I said next time as I was happy with the blow dry that I would get a trim. Well, on my third visit I got my haircut. The worst mess I have ever experienced. I wear my hair long pass shoulders. He cut hunks of uneven layers in my hair. I went to my regular hairdresser and she could not believe it and showed me with a mirror the chunks he took out of my hair. Just the worst place. I left no tip. Told them they were unprofessional and did not listen to me and gave me a bad haircut. Never in my life have I written a bad review and thought long and hard before doing so. This place is the absolute worse salon. Don't let the look fool you. Walked in for my appointment and the guy at the table was eating like if he was sitting in a restaurant, didn't even ask for my name until he finished eating. Not professional at all. The other workers in there all look depressed not even one smile on any of there faces. Doesn't feel inviting at all, like I said don't let the place and location fool you. Well never go back.
