The price is unbeatable; however, I guess you get what you pay for. The equipment is super old and outdated with multiple pieces of equipment ripped up. I was excited about there being turf present; however, it's super worn down. Also doesn't appear anybody really wipes down the equipment after use, so I didn't feel like it was necessarily the cleanest spot. I truly wanted to love this place as it's a cool space with a lot of potential! If updates are ever done, I'd definitely consider rejoining. read more

You get what you pay for; the equipment is old, the staff doesn't do anything, and it gets crowded. There are two membership options, both are affordable. I suggest the $20/month membership because you're allowed to bring a guest every time! The equipment is obviously old. Superfit is probably the third owner of most of the stuff. Many of the weights don't match and they're always in disarray. Some treadmills have major problems--one squeaks so loud that the whole gym looks at you with every revolution of the belt. Other equipment has ghetto aspects to them. It doesn't seem like the staff cleans or maintains the machines either. Actually, the staff doesn't do much besides refilling the paper towels. There's free tanning with the $20/month plan. They have two tanning beds, one that's strong and one that's no-so-strong. They don't offer covers for your eye, which seems unsafe. Ending your membership requires filling out a 30-day notice, which can only be done in person. Random Observation: There are an oddly high number of people wearing PSU shirts. read more

Well, it IS very affordable, at $19.99/month. But it all goes downhill from there. Simply put: It's dirty, not well maintained, and populated with a lot of rude members. The majority of the pads on the the benches are dried and cracked. The vast majority of all the equipment including machines, weight stacks, free weight plates, and cardio machines are a) rusty b) have defects c) are missing pins d) are missing handles for adjusting arms and e) have broken snap-links among others. Many machines need greasing or oiling and don't get it. There are not enough weight racks. Members leave huge numbers of plates on machines after they're done and just walk away, leaving the rest of us to pick up after them. Members leave plates, dumbbells, kettlebells, benches, pads wherever they like, as wll as carry huge backpacks and enormous water bottles around and leave them on the floor as tripping hazards, something most gyms totally forbid as safety hazards. Roid-heads monopolize one or even two pieces of equipment for extended periods, even while they spend half the time on the their phones while other members are waiting to use the equipment. No gym etiquette, no courtesy, and no enforcement from gym staff, if there is any. So my advice is, if you want a basic gym and are willing to out up with all this and a "management" tha clearly doesn't care about its members, the relatively cheap cost makes it ok. It's too bad, bc with an owner and management who cared, this place could be outstanding. It's not. read more

I wish Superfit had told me they were open & that way I would know. Feeling frustrated, during Covid my traveling caused my CC company to stop my card (I forgot to let them know). They never sent me any bill or reached out to me.Now they tell me I owe $80. For months that no one has even wanted to go to the gym. Just feeling frustrated. I moved away from the area and couldn't cancel with Superfit unless I walked into the gym. A couple months went by until I was able to get back in the area to finally go in and sign a piece of paper. Then there was a 30 day cancellation notice on top of that. They were charging my account $5 more then I signed up for, stating "price rises were posted at the gym" which I couldn't see because I couldn't even go to the gym! I got charged for the two months after my cancellation including the maintenance fee. When I called to ask they were rude and unhelpful. I'm happy I cancelled. read more

This gym has everything I need. I get to come with the BF as a guest, which rocks! It can get crowded, but even so I always can find an elliptical or the funny ones with the arms (I think they are called cross trainers). - Locker rooms are clean with plenty of lockers. You can shower after you get your sweat on. - There are plenty of ellipticals, cross trainers, treadmills, stair climbers, bikes. - Flat screen TV's border the exercise equipment so you can distract yourself. - There is music constantly playing if you happen to forget your ipod. - Tons of weights and weight machines. - The building is very spacious so you don't feel crowded or claustrophobic - There is not tons of mirrors so you don't have to worry about people staring at you while you sweat away - It's clean. - There is a fresh supply of trashy magazines to read. And if you are into meat-heads you get your fair share. Awesome! read more

I tried the other gyms in the area - Gold's and Conshohocken Fitness - and ended up choosing Superfit. It's very cheap and the facilities are decent - decent machines, decent locker room, etc. I honestly liked Conshohocken Fitness a little better, but I couldn't pass up Superfit's prices. I've never used the weights (I only do cardio). I go during peak hours (weekday evenings) and have never had to wait for a treadmill. They have reasonable weekend hours also. The only drawback I've noticed is that it can get a little hot in there during the summer... I don't know what's up with their AC. Other than that I'd recommend it. read more

Are you going to get confused and think you walked into a PSC? Probably not. Are there special rooms for spinning and twirling and yogaing? Nope. Are some of the cardio machines down from time to time? Yep. Are some of the dumbbells not labeled and you feel like you accomplished something just by finding the weight you're looking for? Yep. Does SuperFit have everything you need to get in a good workout for an really low price and no contract? Indeed it does. There's even a fridge with delicious energy drinks and refreshing bottled water (prices vary)! Woohoo! As good as it gets! Well thats what the stars say so... Been here closer to two years than I ever hoped but I finally had to find a place to work out. It was always sooo easy in the A because if you lived in an apartment they always had a communal gym. I never knew how much a weights cost in the real world until I moved into a house. So that only leaves one thing. Find a gym. I actually work right across the street from Conshohocken Health and Fitness(as well as the Conshy Ballet) but their prices are ridiculous. LA Fitness is too pushy. *Note to employees of this establishment: Don't try to sell a salesman and when you realize this, don't push even harder. Gold's is too "barbell"(if ya get my drift) In comes Superfit with 20 dollars a month, a huge space, and friendly trainers(not that I need one "I'm HUGE" lol). I have heard that it gets hot in the summer but I can't attest to it since I started in October. I've never had to wait for any machine and, need I say it one more time, "$20 dollars". Superfit has been my gym for nearly 2 years now. I'm definitely a fan, and would recommend it to most people. There are two memberships you can choose from here. A $20/month fee will get you three things. Access to the gym, access to their two tanning booths, and the right to bring a buddy every time you go. This membership is great for couples or roommates who like to tan. I do the $10/month membership. I used to pay for the first type, but personally found the tanning booths ineffective. SF is a good sized gym. It's not as large as an LA Fitness or some other supergym, but there's plenty of room to run around and do whatever kind of workout you prefer. I always try to avoid "rush hour" which is typically right after 9-5ers leave work, and usually during lunch as well. But I love that even when it's super busy, I've never ONCE had to wait for a cardio machine. That's pretty great for a smaller, but popular, gym. The only downside I've found is in the upkeep of their equipment. There are often multiple machines that are out of order, and it's a bummer to see the same sign on the same machine for weeks in a row. SF is not the gym for everybody. Do you want to do Zumba, and go to abs classes and whatnot? Not the gym for you. Do you want to just go to the gym, get your workout in and go home? Definitely the gym for you. read more

Not a fancy gym by any means but for the price what can you expect? As a runner who legitimately only needs a treadmill for days i can't run outside, this gym is PERFECT. There's plenty of treadmills (and other cardio equipment) and it gives me just what I need. There's a weight rack and other gym equipment as well. If you need a gym for a specific reason like I do, there's really no reason to spend hundreds of dollars on a gym membership when you can just come here! read more

I gave Superfit 4 stars based on price. The equipment seems to be in pretty good shape, although there are a few treadmills that are not working (which gym doesn't have a treadmill or two down at all times?). There are plenty of working ones, though, so it makes up for it. They have at least one of every piece of equipment you need. I do like the stair stepper machines - you get a great workout from climbing a never ending flight of stairs! I like to go on off hours so I never encounter a very large crowd, which I appreciate. The temperature does seem a little high, but I am there to sweat anyway, so what the heck. It actually feels a bit like "Average Joe's" - come as you are and try to better yourself. This gym is huge..but so empty? By empty I mean, not that many machines or people. The people are friendly though. I had this lady talk to me for an entire 50 minutes about how her neighbor's dog bit her leg, it was interesting to say the least. I also forgot my iPod that day and did not mind, it helped both of us kill time on the elliptical. Other than that, this gym needs a lot of updating and needs to utilize their space better but it's not bad for someone like me who just needs the basic machines and weights. A solid 3 stars. For a flat $20 a month (yea, I opted for the unlimited plan) you get what you pay for. A converted warehouse, this was the closest gym to my house. I could literally walk there, yet I still had trouble going more than an average of once a week. The freeweights and machines aren't in great supply but there weren't any less than I've seen at other local gyms. It wasn't uncommon to find at least a quarter of the treadmills out of service. I'm not very thrilled with this gym. It seems every time I want to go on a machine or switch to a new machine, something is broken. There is also no water station other than the water fountain. Most gyms at least have a water filter system to fill water bottles. Overall I was not impressed and I ended my membership. read more

The cardio equipment is old, broken and in a constant state of disrepair (by way of example, recently 80% of the Lifecycles had severe maintenance issues, which made them unusable). The staff is nonresponsive and deceptive- they tend to ignore reports of maintenance issues and always claim "new" equipment is coming the next week. Next week was 2-1/2 years ago. If maintenance issues are reported to the owner, he must ignore them. One pays $20 per month but must deal with what that comes it- indifferent staff, a non-responsive owner and broken/unusable equipment. If that doesnt bother you, this gym is a good fit. If you expect working and maintained equipment, look elsewhere. I have. read more

This place needs a serious facelift! They have rickety, out dated equipment propped up with old magazines so that they don't tip over. Almost every EFX or elliptical makes a loud banging or squeaking noise when in use. The positive: This place is a great location and the price is right. read more

I have had the privilege of working for one of the most premiere athletic clubs in the United States, Lakeshore Athletic Club, but have also attended the smallest, most mom and pop gym in a podunk town that had one stop light. SuperFit was referred to me by another client who attends the gym. I was instructed that it was a "no frills" kind of atmosphere and very bare bones as to what was offered in your monthly dues. She wasn't kidding. For starters, I do not understand how this place stays in business. They have two kinds of memberships: a basic which is $50 down and $10.99/mo or a $19.99/mo plan. The cheaper plan is bare bones, come and go as you please. The more expensive plan allows you to bring guests (unlimited) and also allows you to use their one tanning bed. They have no cap on the amount of times you can bring the same person, so they are getting a membership for free on your tab. And trust me, they don't check who is signing in everyday. They barely look up at you to see who is coming or going. The times I go in, there's no one sitting at the desk. The fact that they have tanning as an option has no merit on what I was looking for. If I was looking to get skin cancer, I'd prefer to be out in the sunshine. The staff: for the most part, when they are around, they are "there." I've gone to ask them about trainers or copies of my statements. 9 times out of 10, they have no information on the trainers they have in house (which, to be honest, are none -- they have a few that use the gym as their personal haven to train, but they aren't "Super Fit" trainers or employed by the company). I find this to be sketchy, because you have one trainer charging $40/session and another charging $65. Nothing is uniform and it gets a bit ridiculous trying to figure it all out. Most of the staff do not know how to use the computer system so don't ask them difficult questions. Equipment: the equipment is standard, at best. To the person who said the equipment is new -- that's a big, fat, N-O. All of their equipment is refurbished, meaning, yes, it was new at one time, but it's been overhauled with newer parts, but is old, or used and purchased from a place like "Play It Again Sports" or similiar warehouse. But no, the equipment isn't new. The treadmills (there are approximately 20) hardly ever work. I've had to jump treadmills mid-run because the one I'm on will automatically shut down with a failure error, which is a huge pain. You move to another one and THAT one is broken. None of the elliptical, cross trainer or stationary bikes are calibrated, which means, if you are on Level 1 or Level 10, it's the exact same resistance. This is how I know the machines are refurbished -- you need someone who knows how to maintain the machines to fix the calibration. Very disappointing. They also have weights and circuit training machines, however, it's hard to get into someone's rotation. People here aren't the most friendly and you may be waiting several minutes to use the machine you want. People are correct -- many of the users do NOT wipe down the machines and that grosses me out, especially when they are rubbing their heads or faces or adjusting themselves (men) and then go and use a machine to lift. They do provide spray and handtowels, but it's up to the the staff to enforce it. Also, you can never find a mat to do stretches. They only supply 4 or 5 for a gym that services over 300 users. The women's bathroom is always disgusting. I wouldn't use the showers if someone paid me to. They are gross - I went to use one and there was hair and remnents in the bottom that looked as though they had been there for more than a few weeks. There's rarely soap in the dispensers or towels. They do have parking, however, it is an unlined lot and most people do not seem to understand the concept of parking next to someone to allow space to get in or out of the vehicle OR park in a spot that could be enough for two cars. This is especially bad in winter when there's snow. Yes, they have tv's but there's no frequency posted that you can listen to the show/tv on your radio. The music they pipe in isn't what motivates me to exercise (Taylor Swift??) so I'd prefer to use my own form of music. Magazines don't make me want to join a gym so that holds no merit in my eyes either. The one plus is the hours. They have early/late hours on the weekends, which is beneficial to those who have to work. There is better out there, for sure. If Planet Fitness opens, they'll definitely have my business. Most likely, my membership here at SuperFit will conclude in the next month. I run and lift and circuit train -- all things that can be done with a jogging path, running shoes, and a few devices at home that I can get at WalMart. I'd rather save myself $132 and treat myself to a new wardrobe. read more

This gym is cheap and effective for around $10/month. No classes. Strictly DIY cardio machines and circuit training/free weights. I belonged here before when they had classes. The worst thing I can say about this place is that its not the CLEANEST place around. I have personally gotten sick after my last 2 visits. Coincidence? who knows. I see alot of people not wiping down equipment after using it and coughing into the air without covering their mouths. The combo of hygienically unconscious people and the wipe rule not being enforced by the one or two people ever on duty has proven to be a negative for me. read more

I've been a member at SuperFit for more than 2 years now and can say it truly delivers the bang for the buck. Yes, it's a no-frills kind of place. Yes, there's two elliptical machines that have not worked since I joined. Yes, the few TVs that are there are not configured to the right settings so the picture is messed up. And yes, the water fountain can be temperamental. To me, all those things are minor blips on the radar when you remember you are paying $11 for a monthly membership. There are a ton of cardio machines, lots of weights and plenty of machines. There's an unpretentious attitude at SF that is refreshing compared to other gyms where the other members can really put a damper on the experience. I've been satisfied for 2+ years with SuperFit and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a great value and an above average gym experience! read more

Not much to say really. Its a gym that costs $10/month. You get what you pay for. The equipment is decent and relatively new. The place is very clean and feels more upscale than the price would indicate. It comes with all the basics, minus the extras I don't use, like courts and a pool. Atmosphere is good and people are more or less friendly if not a bit stand-offish. The only negatives I can think off regarding the place itself is that except for the winter months it get really hot in there. They really need to solve this problem asap because doing anything other than lifting weights can get almost nauseating very quickly due to the heat and lack of air circulation. The other issue pertains to the members. Am I the only one that wipes the equipment down when I'm done with it? Is it that hard to take 30 seconds to wipe own the benches with the provided paper towels and disinfectant? read more

Very simple, basic gym. I have gone here for at least 6 years and it has not changed much. Extremely affordable. I do wish the hours were better. Closes fairly early on weekends (9pm Friday, 7pm sat/sun). The tanning booths are very old and in need of new bulbs and a good clean. They do not offer classes. I am a regular patron of Superfit and have been for about 2 years. I usually go very early in the morning just before 5am. What can I say... I have the cheap membership for $10.00/month. I do not complain much because I am spending $10/month.... Many of the local gyms are very pricey and I don't feel like spending $40+/month. There are some things that could be improved that are cost neutral: 1.) Enforcing the staff to actually clean the showers daily. 2.) Please change the variety of music every once in a while.... I hate working with an ipod and lifting to Lady freakin' Gaga just doesn't do it. How about a hard rock channel for even just a day a week.... please. 3.) Please keep the treadmills properly oiled so no one gets knocked off especially us fat guys. Those are my 3 complaints... Trivial I guess but when you go all the time they grate on you. Overall I really like the place. Before going to Superfit I always joined other gyms and would stop going after a month or two. After working out here I have remained inspired to continue to go here after 2 years. That says something. I have lost 50 pounds since going here and I really do like 95% of the others that attend at 5am. There is something about working out at a gym that is "mom and pop" and NEEDS to have people continue to attend without going somewhere else. To the owner: Good job at keeping the place going. Just do some simple maintenance to keep people happy. I need to continue to go here and lose my remaining 25 pounds. And please change the damn radio!!! read more

The facility itself looks perfectly adequate -- not particularly comprehensive, but sufficient. However, they advertise and state they have a no-contract option, fifteen bucks a month. Sounds great, right? Well, if you ask for it, what do they do but ... pull out a contract. It literally refers to itself as a contract, with the rules for breaking said contract (sending a certified letter to their parent company, with a thirty-day notice required for breaking the contract) and the subsequent penalties for breaking said contract. I have such a love-hate relationship with Superfit. It's perfect for what it is, a very low cost option, but unfortunately the sacrifices they make with regard to basic maintenance and cleanliness sort of make me want to leave. They literally have three mats for stretching, the free weights are mismatched and they are seriously lacking on the amount of 20lbs and under weights they offer. The newish treadmills are great and there is a large assortment. But basic things like a squeaky elliptical, broken medicine balls and missing mats seem to never get fixed. It would be great it they at least acted like they cared about basic upkeep, but for $11 a month, I guess you can't expect much. If they had any competition in the area, they'd be out of business but unfortunately, the low cost gym options in Conshohocken are non-existent. read more

I just hit the 1 year anniversary on my membership at Super fit. Generally I am pleased with my experience. As a lot of other reviewers have already stated, the equipment is old, and the free weights are so old that the numbers have rubbed off, and you often don't realize what you are lifting, however I think you get what you pay for. It is 10.99/mo. If you want to work out and are on a budget, this is a good fit for you. The unfortunate thing with Superfit is the membership fee. They make their money on volume. 11 bucks a month is nothing. I would gladly pay more money per month, to have clean gym, updated equipment and have it be less crowded. I have managed to work around the crowd, by working out strictly either when they first open at 5am or on the weekends. Stay away from the 4-8 shift, you won't be able to work out, and even if you are lucky to get a bench, someone will ask you ever 5 minutes if you are done! read more

Just signed up about a month ago when I moved into the area. This place is basic...perfect for anyone that just wants the bare bones gym experience. I was paying $42/month at my last gym and now I'm paying about $11/month...and pretty much getting the same workout in Obviously, with the place being so cheap, you're not getting the cleanest, most comfortable establishment. But, I certainly don't mind considering how much money I'm saving. Positives: -Very spacious and open area -Good day/evening hours throughout the week -No BS atmosphere (very few TVs and mirrors to distract) -It's CHEAP -Most members seem fairly friendly Negatives: -Not very clean -Majority of people don't wipe off the equipment/machines when they're done using them. The people using the cardio are better about it than the folks lifting weights though. I have to wipe stuff before and after use. -They're not big on cranking up the AC so it gets a little warm in there (I start getting uncomfortable as soon as it hits 70-75 degrees) -Some of the staff/trainers are a little rude (some are very nice too though). You get what you pay for. If this place was $20/month, I might look elsewhere. But for this price, I absolutely love it. read more

Here is how SuperFit does business. I sent in a letter cancelling my membership in April - as I was moving to Philadelphia in May. They did not receive it and called me, I then called back and left several messages - spoke w/ several people - wrote several more cancellation letters - as they kept calling trying to charge my card. Last night I got a call that they have nothing on Record of me cancelling prior to Sept. I could take a "deal" and be charged from May - September - if I do not take a deal - I am charged for the months after September as well and moving forward. And they will send me to collections. I did everything right - and they said I should have sent my letters certified. Who would have thought my mail and messages would ALL not be passed along? Instead of them working with me - as I was a good member prior - and saying show proof you moved and we are good - they are trying to not only charge me for months cancelled - but charge me for the months after they claim to have received my cancellation as well as moving forward which does not make sense. They told me they are running a business so that is what they are going to do. THANKS - thanks for working with people. Instead you should try to nickel and dime them - that is a great business move!!!!!! I would really watch it when you try to cancel as no amount of mail, messages or speaking with people will help. One woman told me months ago - "oh, I am just making the calls, they will eventually get it that you cancelled!" GREAT Customer Service!!!!!!!! I signed up for this gym as it's literally right down the street & figured that would be the best type of motivation to make it there. The only thing that I like is the location convenience. It's dirty - The same machines have the same dust & dirt on them day in & day out & one elliptical actually has a magazine stuffed under it to maintain balance. You hardly ever see any of the gym members clean a machine after they're done & you know the staff aren't touching much when we're gone, either. I've never seen any worker clean the tanning bed after someone comes out & there's trash in the bottom of one that blows around when the fan comes on - More specifically, a tampon wrapper. Gross & a fire hazard. My sister sent an e-mail asking when the last time they changed their tanning bulbs was, but never heard back. Neither the windows or doors are ever open to get some fresh air flowing so there's condensation covering the place & it feels muggy - Maybe/hopefully that'll change in the summer. I was quick to sign up & have committed to the next couple of months, but most certainly will not renew or recommend. read more

I proudly watched as they unloaded them from the delivery truck and hooked them up. And they all work. A day that was long over due. The price is worth 5 stars but the facility 1.5. If you want to use an eliptical, there is always one available. The smells seem to never leave the building and there are TVs with no sound, no closed captioned and no way to access sound. I cancelled my membershp and drive 12 mins to another location because it wasn't working for me. I can see why it would for some though. read more
