I have dealt with Hughes Auto on 2 occasions. The first one was with a friend who was buying a car…read morefrom him. She had very little money so the car she bought wasn't in great shape, but ran. A few days later the car overheated at a stoplight. She didn't have anyone to call so she contacted Hughes Auto who came to her rescue. He even had the car fixed for free, even though there was no warrenty on the car. The second dealing with Hughes Auto was when I bought a used car from him. He was very reasonable on his prices, and wasn't overly pushy to make the sale. After buying the car I noticed the temperature gauge going fairly high and it was worrying me. So knowing what he did for my friend I returned to him with my concern. He sent me over to the person who does repairs and they tested it for me, and found that it was running at a normal temp, and relieved my concern. I owned that car for 6 years, and now a friend has it and it is still running great with no problems.

Got the HVAC issue repaired at a reputable local mechanic for $232. Oil pan gasket did not need replace nor a differential leak. Oh you tech that changed the oil 62610 didn't tighten properly and that leaked after service. I will never buy a vehicle from you due to your shady shop practices. Shame on your staff.

I didn't see what i was looking for so he took me inside and he starting building the truck that I was looking for, so that I could see what it would look like, we talk a little more and he showed me to picture and what they could do for me on my trade-in and at end of the conversation, we made a great deal and I have a 2020 Silverado instead for a great price. Agreement was made in Oct 11 and 12. Contract elements were completed: 1) Offer Oct 11, the offer consisted of Edmunds Ad, James, confirming that C-Max is still available for sale, and giving current price of $15,995. I agreed to pay that and said I was interested. I told him that I would ship car to CO. James agreed to that. I asked him to hold the car and he agreed to do that. 2) Acceptance of the offer: Oct 11 at 6:00 PM I emailed stating "I want to proceed with the purchase" Oct 12 I told Brian I would purchase the car and would wire the funds or send a bank check 3) Agreement to my acceptance Oct 12, Brian told me he would take the car off of the market, and requested reg name registration. I emailed it. Oct 13 I requested a total price and got shipping via YellowFin. Oct 14 James emailed refusal to sell: Just wanted to let you know that we have a long time customer that is in need of a hybrid vehicle and the Cmax is what they are looking for. The boss has decided to sell it to them verses selling to you. There are many deceptive, dishonest wicked vendors nowadays but I did not expect this from Mr Bob Bowen.

I can't remember the name of the guy that helped me, but it felt like he was very open and transparent in his approach. He was very much a salesman and hit a lot of the buttons they are supposed to. In my particular case I think it came down to the fact that the car in my price range had some potential hidden problems I wasn't comfortable with. He offered to note everything on a "we owe" sheet that would ensure my concerns were addressed. He was respectful and listened to my mad ramblings. He even asked which sort of seating was comfortable for me and my bad back. He did a lot to repair my view of Royal dealers. This location has some pretty high end stuff, and he showed the sheet with the basics from the service department. My budget was not flexible and I was set on a hybrid. It just didn't happen here this time. Had he been less respectful or too pushy, I would not rate 4 stars. I feel like he hit a nice balance of listening to my needs and offering something that might work for me. He made me think hard about my decision, and it wasn't easy for me to walk away, but it's what was necessary. I left feeling much better about Royal than I had in the past.
