    Uneven post cuts

My experience with Superior Fence and Rail, specifically with Chris Annucci out of Rochester, NY, was an absolute disaster. They will use AI to filter out all of the negative reviews. You have to dig deep to get the true reviews. I learned these facts the hard way. He is a great salesman who feeds you a lot of garbage while he sells the job. He sent a crew of 3 men to complete a fairly large fence for me. They were done in 1 day, and I had serious doubts. I sent him the following after walking my property: 1) There were nails left all over the driveway. I cleaned up 20 of them with a magnet. 2) The fence posts were not concreted in place. Dry concrete was poured, and I was told to wait for rain. 3) They didn't mitre the top of the posts. They hacked them with a chainsaw. 4) The gate door is built wrong and sags already. 5) Craftsmanship is sloppy all around. Chris responded and sent the same crew out to fix their mistakes. They were there for less than 2 hours and left. They moved my garbage toters and didn't put them back, causing me to miss my pickup. They opened my enclosure, where my pets are, to unplug an extension cord when I specifically asked them not to. I was home, and they could have come and gotten me. There were still noticeable mistakes everywhere. I contacted Chris to set up a 3rd date to which I specifically requested him to fix the fence. He NO CALLED/NO SHOWED the date we planned. I contacted him, fired him, and said I was giving poor reviews. Only then, did he immediately start trying to make things right. He harassed me with many emails within a 24 hr period begging to let him fix the project. I finally told him to stop contacting me. This is some of the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. The price you pay should have quality/value 10x better than this. I have over 30 pictures as proof. I have shown the pictures to other fence companies who I am trying to hire to fix his awful work. Everyone who has seen the work has said it is unacceptable. Stay away from Chris and Superior Fence and Rail in Rochester NY. They are Superior Garbage.

So initially gave this company a 5 star rating the same day they completed the fence. It looked good overall and the team that was out here were super nice. Within just a couple of days the wood began to warp to the point of pulling the nails out. I made contact-they sent someone to fix some of the boards and agreed there may be an issue with the wood. A few days later more warping and some of the 2x4s were pulling apart. They came back and fixed some and again said if it continued they may need to do something different b/c it appeared to be an issue with the wood. Well here we are again-wood has continued to warp terribly. I made contact again and was basically told to go ahead and stain it (which is not what the actual directions or contract say to do yet) and they sent a copy of the warranty. Now I totally understand that wood will change but within a month or less of installation?? I actually have had other people mention how bad this fence is. I don't typically do bad reviews but fencing is so expensive that I felt like it needed to be put out there. If anyone wants to see the fence feel free to make contact and you can come see their work prior to contracting with them. I did request someone in management to just come look at it to see if this fence is what they want to put out as their work. I have included a few pictures.

They spray painted the poles on site resulting in overspray on the side of my house.

My experience with Superior Fence and Rail, particularly with Nick Barry and Stacy Milan, has been an absolute nightmare. I hired them to install a fence on my property, and from the very beginning, it was a disaster. Firstly, upon their arrival on September 12th, they caused significant damage to my driveway with their overweight truck, and despite my initial understanding demeanor, they failed to rectify the situation. I tried to be polite and told them that I as planning to redo the driveway anyhow and would overlook the damages caused so long as they agreed to come back and run the fence across the driveway once the concrete work was completed. In hindsight, this act of kindness seems to be where things went astray as the company began acting as if they could do whatever they want on my property from this point. On September 19th, the company finished all aspects of the job except for the section across the driveway and requested the final payment. Believing we had an agreement that they would return to finish, I proceeded to pay the remaining balance. Looking back, this decision also proved to be a mistake. I realize now that I should not have paid the full amount before they completed the entire job, especially considering their contract specifies that the final payment is due upon the completion and satisfaction of the project. After the concrete work was completed, I reached out to Nick Barry at Superior Fence to finish the job. We discussed using square steel posts across the driveway and agreed on a completion date of October 17th. On October 17th, the Superior Fence crew, supervised by Nick Barry, arrived. However, they were drinking on the job, and beer cans were left scattered around my property. Moreover, the quality of their work was extremely poor. They installed small, round posts instead of the agreed square steel ones, and poorly poured quickcrete into the top foot of the hole, resulting in a messy appearance. Additionally, they spray-painted the posts on-site, causing spray paint to splatter on the side of my house. When I raised my concerns with Nick Barry, he claimed the round posts were "cheaper and available" and changed the materials without my consent. Despite several requests for written confirmation of our discussions, it took weeks to receive any response. After issuing a chargeback for 50% of the payment due to incomplete work and lack of communication, Superior Fence became eager to resolve the issue. However, their client relations manager, Stacy Milan, insisted on a phone call to discuss payment retraction, ignoring my preference for written communication. Stacy threatened legal action, but their own contract stated final payment was due upon satisfactory completion, which had not, and still to this date, has not occurred. Despite agreeing to complete the job with their attorney, Doug McClanahan, Superior Fence refused to meet previously agreed terms, leading to further dispute. Their attorney allowed the company to withhold funds despite our agreement, indicating unethical practices on both his and his client's behalf. After my bank approved the chargeback, attempts to negotiate in good faith were met with further manipulation by Doug McClanahan and his client Superior Fence and Rail. In addition to filing a BBB complaint, We intend to initiate legal proceedings against Superior Fence and Rail for the improper filing of a lien, as well as for the numerous damages incurred during their presence on-site and subsequently. In conclusion, my experience with Superior Fence and Rail, and their attorney Doug McClanahan of Hilton Silver & McClanahan, has been deeply disappointing. Their lack of professionalism, poor workmanship, and unethical behavior make them a company to avoid.

8 foot tall cedar fence with galvanized screws steel posts

first of all were in east Texas and since I found out that they are a franchise we got the pleasure of working with Thomas redd the owner witch we meet on last day of construction, he takes care of his crew and was a pleasure speaking with him, Ethan was are first point of contact and he was helpful in picking out what we needed since we have 6 dogs and needed to keep them safe he wrote up a few different options explaining each before we decided on a 8 ft tall cedar with steel posts and a double gate steel framed opening as well as a single steel framed gate opening. The crew was Mathew and Tommy they were amazing guys from the start we did walk thew they explained everything I one hundred percent trusted them around my animals and my an loved having them out here and the quality of work performed was by far great I have no issue i will be higher this team again and definitely recommend if you're looking for quality work plus's we have a three year warranty on this job and I honestly don't think we will need it but it's nice to know we have it. only hiccups we had honestly was weather with rain and and extreme cold but that to be expected and I completely understood and truthfully only days they didn't show up was on raining days and I didn't expect them to either but they were here in windy days as well as cold days I even told them if they needed to come in they could to warm up they pushed threw very respectful guys. so if you go with them ask for this team in east Texas crew was Ethan Mathew and Tommy and owner of this company was Thomas redd!

Wood fence, rusted nails that aren't connecting and securing the wood.

The crew that installed the fence came without scheduling a time and did the work without anyone being at home. Missed nails in spots, the wood was too green to be installed. Had I been home I would not have let them install with the wood they brought. Some of it was splintered around the edges. When the fence started coming apart I had a very hard time gettting someone to come look at it and fix it. When someone finally did, they made excuses and "fixed" what they thought should be. The whole fence should have been replaced. The area supervisor was rude about having to send a crew out. Some of the pictures people have posted are exactly what I experienced. Do NOT use these people! Terrible workmanship. They want your money, throw something up and the. Walk away. I DO NOT recommend them! Gave them one star but they don't even deserve that.

I had my wood fenced installed in Nov 2023 by feb 2024 the wood bent twisted. pretreated wood. we have had lots of rain so this is not covered in the warranty per Justin. The only thing covered in their lifetime warranty is if they break something and fence parts. Justin did agree to go over and beyond the contract and replace some of the wood pickets and I would I please remove the review. He did say it could be bad wood. Since then I have not heard anything and the fence has continued to bend/twist. I have not sealed the fence because of rain. Again pretreated wood and only 5 months old. My neighbors has Lowe's wood not sealed looks so much better than mine. Saddened that I went with this company.

We chose to work with Superior Fence and Rail because the estimator said it would take 4 weeks from the day of his visit to install our fence. He said the partnership with Home Depot meant Superior always had items in stock. He assured us our choice of a split rail fence with welded wire was a basic, uncomplicated fence. On 8/30/21 Stacey texted me to say we could install on 9/7/21. Almost immediately, she corrected herself saying she didn't know when the wire would be in stock. I contacted her multiple times to follow up and she did not respond until 9/9 to put us on the schedule for 10/6-10/7/21. On 9/27 Stacey informed me Superior was not able to find the end rail posts needed for our fence. She told me she was "sure I had been told our fence was a special order" fence (contradicting the original estimator). She told me there was no estimated date for when our fence would be installed. We had already paid the 50% deposit. I spoke with Stacey at length about my disbelief that she was telling me this news a week before install - to which, Stacey eventually hung up on me. I called back to ask for the manager's number - Mike. I expressed that I was unhappy with her customer service and the indefinite delay and she said "good luck" trying to get a discount from Mike. I reached out to Stacey multiple times because I was able to find the end posts in stock at different locations, but she did not respond. On 9/28 Stacey informed me she found the material and our fence could be installed on 10/16. The 10/16 Saturday installation day arrived and we received no confirmation call ahead of time. I had to call Stacey (waking her up at 830am) in the morning to see when/if the crew was arriving. Later in the afternoon it became clear there was not near enough material to complete the job - the crew had about 50-65% of what they needed. A crew member called Stacey on speakerphone to inform her of the situation. They asked if she wanted to speak with the customer and she emphatically said "No no no! I'll text them on Monday." Monday we called the owner Mike to speak about when our fence would be finished and he never returned our phone call. We spoke with Stacey who said she would personally come out for our final installation (now 10/23) to make sure our fence was the way we wanted, although she never showed up. We had a number of issues with how the fence was installed as the crew ended up working in the dark. The biggest issue was the welded wire installation. It has always been listed on our contract to leave a gap at the bottom of the wire. However, when the crew installed the wire, they installed it all the way to the ground. The wire also stuck up beyond the top rail. When confronted, Stacey said they never had the option to order a different size wire. That information should have been communicated to us from day one. As installed, we had sharp, jagged wire at the top and bottom of the fence because they had to cut the wire. See photos. A crew member called Stacey to ask about cutting the wire and we heard her on speaker phone say "Just do it, I told them we would, just do it so that you never have to come back to this house EVER AGAIN." That emphasis was hers, not mine. We are beyond disappointed with the customer service we've received along the way for this project. We've been strung along and clearly Stacey's attitude towards us has impacted how she conducted the business of our job - not ordering enough material, not communicating about the wire, and more. Our fence finally has been repaired so it is no longer dangerous as of May 2022. We attempted to call/email/text the owner, Stacey, the owners in Jacksonville and no one returned our call. It is in the contract that faulty worksmanship will be covered by the company. It was only when we threatened legal action because of the dangerous fence we have on our property they finally sent out someone to "repair" it. The customer service of this company is atrocious. Take your business elsewhere.

I gave them my original sketches and ideas; they ended up building something way better than I had envisioned. A few things that really stood out: * Pro-active Communication: I was never left wondering what the next step was; they kept me in the loop the entire time. * On-Time & Reliable: The crew was punctual and stayed on schedule (even on those very cold days), which is rare to find. * High-End Craftsmanship: You can tell they take pride in the details. The build quality is top-notch and feels incredibly solid. If you're looking for a team that's easy to work with and delivers exactly what they promise (and then some), I can't recommend them enough.

Our financial situation changed and we were not able to build a deck at that time. Fast-forward to three years of additional savings and we called the same company again. From the very moment that I said my name, they said "hello Mrs. Dodder, good to hear from you and thank you for calling us, do you have the same project in mind?" And they immediately pulled up our project plans and everything that we had proposed three years prior with not a moments hesitation. And honored similar pricing. I was so impressed I knew right then and there we had to stick with this company! From Parker coordinating plans to Christopher Severino still remembering us, Antonio Alvarado the project manager being so incredibly helpful, patient and ever-available to help us with every detail throughout the project, he was masterful. Our incredible crew that felt like family through the process- the kids called Oscar Spiderman because he is so agile climbing up on everything! Adán making his precision cuts, and José with his infallible craftsmanship and attention to detail. Truly a kindhearted crew with a dedicated highest-standard work ethic. We also got quotes from other companies who had done the fences of our neighbors and all of the quotes for very close in price. Big Jerry's had someone out quickly to do the measurements (we preferred this to the online measure) and they were very communicative. They were also very helpful with sketches and measurements for the HoA. In order to get on the schedule, one must pay a 60% deposit. The schedule was about two months out for us. Big Jerry's also takes care of calling 811 prior to the installation date. The 811 person came about three days before the fence install. In the end, we had about 510 feet of fencing . Nelson was the main crew leader and he was excellent and friendly. The install took three days to complete (with 2-3 people working each day); we also had some rocky terrain. I also appreciated that Nelson reviewed the property lines again before installation and we came across a two foot encroachment along ~100 feet that hadn't been picked up by anyone. Thankfully the house next door was still under construction and we were able to rectify the issue quickly. Our yard slopes and Nelson and his team did a great job with installing the fence with the grade. We had a handyman here doing other work who also commented on the solid install job. We went with the Bellhaven model (pictured). My only complaint is that after sending the balance the day the job was done, I got a past due email the very next day! I had expected to have a few days to confirm there were no issues with the job prior to paying the balance. Fortunately, there was no additional "late" charge. I highly recommend Nelson of the Big Jerry's crew to do your fence.
