Later, I was informed that a true frameless enclosure wouldn't work because the holes from the previous shower would be visible, so I had to go with a more expensive framed option instead. The special-order enclosure arrived fairly quickly, but that's where the problems really began. The first installation appointment ended with the installers discovering something was wrong with the enclosure, so it had to be reordered. I had already taken a day off work. The second installation appointment wasn't any better. One of the parts had been pre-cut incorrectly at the factory, so yet another part had to be reordered, requiring me to take another day off work. When they finally returned and completed the installation, I noticed a very obvious dent in the enclosure after they left. I called immediately because I wasn't happy with the quality of the installation. They eventually replaced the damaged part, but referred to it as being replaced under "warranty." Warranty? It was installed with the dent in the first place. That wasn't a warranty issue--it was correcting an installation problem that should have never happened. After everything was finally finished, I paid my invoice in full. I even have the receipt showing a $0.00 balance owed. Weeks later, I received a phone call claiming I still owed more money. After everything I had already dealt with, that was the final straw. Between the repeated ordering mistakes, multiple installation appointments, lost wages from taking several days off work, poor quality control, and then being asked for more money after paying in full, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I cannot recommend Berkeley Glass based on my experience.

One side of this poorhouse is attached to the rest of our house and the other three sides are all 10 foot tall commercial glass sliding doors with smaller commercial glass windows above. Almost all of those glass panes had air seal leaks making the glass cloudy and several had cracks. The sliders didn't;t slide very well either... We received several estimates and went with a mid-priced one from City Glass and Mirror. The price was roughly 25% of what a residential glass/window company had estimated. We are delighted at the quality of the resulting space and the glass makes it look like new! Highly recommended!

I needed new windows and new sliding glass doors. The previous owners of our appartment had put in…read morethe cheapest possible units with the cheapest possible labor. With regards to the heating of our home, the windows were no better than screens. I reached out, looking for windows and installers. I had a few people come in and estimate the job. None of them impressed me until Greg from Windows on Washington came over. He walked me through several options and explained how the windows they used were manufactured and why. Windows on Washington got the job. My windows and my doors were being manufactured. So they sent out a wonderful gentleman to get the final accurate measurements. Great guy. After that, communication was wonderful as were were assessed of the stage we were in. This included when we got the email and calls explaining that, since we were on a higher floor, they needed to bring in some equipment to lift the new doors up to our balcony. No surprises. Installation day was amazing as Joon and his team came in, got everything into place, and cleaned up the areas to better than when they got here. Joon then went over the features on our windows and even explained how we get to and clean the outsides of the glass. Wonderful man and amazing team. Since then, we have gotten copies of our warranty and the guarantees. And the company has reached out twice to ask if we have any questions and to ensure that we are happy with our windows. We are.
