Dined here on a Sunday afternoon with family . The first thing that caught my attention was the amazing service. We waited only 5 minutes and were attended to as soon as we were seated. There is also patio dining which makes this location perfect for the entire family. The lettuce wrap tacos, queso and strawberry margarita were my favs . I thought they were a bit on the pricey side but other than that I enjoyed my dining experience here! read more

Took some clients to lunch and couldn't have been happier with the experience. All the food was delicious and correct, the service was excellent, I'm a fan of not having to ask for a refill of my drink and we never did, and we were able to take advantage of the patio as the weather was great. While it is a regional chain, I find that they go out of the way to create some individuality in each location. read more

I eagerly awaited Superior Grill in Lafayette to open, and I've been three times. Overall, the experience was good. However, it was very crowded every time. It's wise that they now take reservations. I find myself comparing the Lafayette location to the Government St. location in Baton Rouge, where I ate for thirty years. "The devil is in the details.," and that's true. The refried beans should be creamy, not with whole beans in them. The rice seemed to be dry, as if it hadn't been covered. Enchiladas weren't filled very much. It seems as if something is missing, taste-wise. Overall, if I want Superior Grill, I'm still going to Government St. in Baton Rouge. read more

I finally tried Superior Grill's Lafayette location. I was NOT impressed. Although the service was ok, the food was most definitely NOT. My daughter ordered the Chicken & Cheese Enchilada. I had to stop my car on the way home because she said she did not feel well. She threw up her "meal"! The Baton Rouge location never disappoints; however, I will NEVER return to the one in Lafayette! btw: the elderly man seated @ table next to us, complained he discovered what appeared to be a roach leg in his food. The manager sat at the table for at least 5 minutes & eventually comped the meal. I did take home my cheese & onion enchiladas to give to my dog, after carefully extracting the onions. I took 1 bite & realized I did not care for my dish, but knew my dog will eat just about anything. read more

Really? Prices high and food just ok. I guess when you spend so much on building you have to recoup with high prices. Sad part is food is not that good. It's crowded, don't know why. I'd skip this one. read more

Ok first service was good to fine with our server. no issues there. The restaurant is a little congested. Lots of people. First let me start with the Shrimp. Who grills shrimp for fajitas with the skin on and butterflied. The shrimp was incredibly dried out from being chargrilled while butterflied, and did not peel well. There's two ways you can make sure that the shrimp doesn't dry out. You could 1 not butterfly it and 2 fry it with some oil instead of chargrilled. I didn't realize the skin was on either till I tried to take a bite, because I have never had butterflied shrimp with the skin on. I don't mind peeling shrimp if I order boiled shrimp... I mind peeling shrimp when I order Fajitas. The steak was sliced way too thick for Fajitas almost an inch across by 3 inches. It was tough and stringy because the fat wasn't rendered correctly. If you cooking it as a single steak and then slicing after cooking you need to make sure you render all the fat on it so the customer isn't just getting a mouth full of undercooked fat. Next for fajitas the steak needs to be thinly sliced. I would normally not review places but when you're charging so much for TexMex, it should be the best in Lafayette. Chili's has better Fajitas. Tried this place since my daughter from Birmingham, Alabama loved this place in 2000-2001 when she lived in Inverness. We went a week ago to the New Lafayette, La location. Nice atmosphere and service good. Tortilla chips were cold and greasy. Salsa was bland and no kick to it. Taco and enchilada combo not impressive at all. my daughter's combo fajita's came out NOT on a sizzling plate and thick portions of steak and chicken that had to be sliced. The only impressive dish was the black bean soup. $15 dollar lunch price deserves much better! read more

Very big restaurant with multiple dining areas. Including outdoor patio. We arrived at 8:45pm on a Sunday and got seated fairly quickly. Chips and salsa brought out promptly, the chips are thin style and the salsa was average. We also got queso and it was tasty. The menu is very large and there are so many options. I came in specifically for fajitas so I ordered the steak and chicken combo $30, the pieces of meat were so large that I had to cut it up myself, lots of onion and very little peppers. The chicken tasted better than the steak imo. The tortillas were different but good, I think they make them in house. Tortilla soup tasted premade and had a ton of the tortilla chips for such a small cup. Service was okay, at times our waitress would just be non existent. We also requested for a pitcher of water as my group were very thirsty but that apparently wasn't possible. All in all it was just very high priced for typical Tex Mex type of food in a very new building. I would still go back to try their salads, they sounded really good !! read more

HORRIBLE FOOD. Clean, nice space; server was very friendly. BUT OMG the food is BAAADDD. How do you mess up rice and refried beans? The enchiladas were worse than a TV dinner (and were probably microwaved based on heat distribution); and the tortillas tasted plastic. The steak on the salad looked like curled sinew, also microwaved. Flavors were terrible; stomach felt sick before we even left. To be fair, the New Orleans location never had great food, but it was always edible. This place? I wouldn't feed that to my dog; but the bill was still over $70 for a quick lunch. Never again -- NEVER. The owners and investors should be ashamed of themselves to serve this trash. Why even bother having a restaurant if you don't care about your customers? You obviously don't care about your product. So keep cutting costs and squeezing the life out of your food. We'll all get to see how that goes. read more

We made reservations since it was Easter Sunday, arrived 30 minutes early and was still seated immediately. The first thing I noticed was how noisy it was. I thought there was a band playing, but found out it was just the music being funneled into the restaurant, therefore, it seemed everyone was speaking loudly to be heard at their tables. When a song came on that wasn't quite as loud, you could tell the voice level also dropped. We ordered the Triple Dipper appetizer; the cheese dip and guacamole were delicious; the bean dip was inferior. The chips are very thin, so they break when dipping the guacamole and beans. The enchiladas were ok, nothing spectacular. I chose the Tortilla Soup as a side; it was water with tomatoes, 2 slivers of chicken, and 3 chunks of squash, warm, not hot. The server offered to get me something else, but I chose not to. Shrimp Brochette was overcooked. Since we had a gift certificate and decided would never go back, we ordered the combo fajitas to take home. It was a couple of big chunks of meat, lots of onions, 1 piece of pepper. For the price of the food, it should be much better. Our server did an outstanding job though, so that is the only positive thing I can say about this experience. read more
