I frequent this store often and honestly don't get the low ratings. It's easily a 5/5 for me. The store is always clean, the quality is high, the staff is friendly, and you can almost always find a fair price or a good deal. I especially want to hype up their hot food section. It's consistently good. The hot dog and drink combo is always on point, but Thursday Burrito Day is the real star--it's easily the best burrito deal in the High Desert. My stomach can handle any food, spicy or not, without issue but the pico de gallo and/or the guacamole gave me digestive pain for 3 days starting with the day it was purchased. I was bummed to throw it out but not bummed to be feeling better. I suspect the vegetables were good - as they looked OK but that there was other unclean aspects. No need to eat suspect food. Was a frequent buyer until today 10/18 between the times 2:45pm 3:15pm me an my family often shop here locally being it's in the neighborhood Well today my family of 3 went shopping for groceries grabbed a few parishables an head to the butcher aka meat market where today's was the manger special on marinade carne 5.99lbs, well I guess being I'm a tall black man the butcher assumed I didn't understand Spanish! An too be purposely overlooked an talked about meanwhile the butchers both men! Serviced a family 4 Hispanic who spoke Spanish after saying I was next both MEN THE BUTCHERS proceeded to talk among themselves then assumed servicing others! It started to get crowded and I was still not attended too after raising my hand an stating I was next!!it's obviously hard not to noticed a big black man. So I called my family an we left our belongings in a center section of the store we did not feel welcome noir appreciated at this store... I never even knew of such grocery store until one of my security squad asked me if it were ok to stop so that he could pick something up for his wife for Dinner so I thought hmmm why not check it out for myself so I asked if I could follow he quickly replied "let me talk to the security guard inside " which intrigued me even more because I thought "why do they need security" which I still don't know the answer but after my press junkets I did today he felt it be necessary just in case but I told him that nobody cares about current events they only care about gossip events as we all laughed because I was joking of course . I really liked what I seen. So clean staff very friendly, attentive, willing to help, you ask them about their products I may know exactly what they're talking about. What the product is and where to located at. They have an in-store butcher counter and their produce is fresh. I decided that I will continue to shop here because I loved that shelves were faced excellent staff & more so because of a sign I spotted by the butcher counter and bathroom which spoke of the integrity of the employees, self-respect, as well as respecting others, about making things happen and it said some more, but I can't remember, but because of that sign, I knew this was a sure fire grocery store to shop at for what they represent. Although there were a lot of stares and whispers in Spanish again my second language all nice things which made me look up & mouth thank you I was left alone to do some actual shopping. I will definitely make this my go to grocery store. Weather your from Vv or AV I suggest you come & shop where you're greeted with friendly smiles and ready to help employees to their butch counter to the products your use too for a lower saving prices. I don't know what happened to this store but when they first opened the meat department was great. I went every weekend. Got my whole weeks worth of grocery. The guys there were very helpful. Gave me everything I needed. Last 4 times I've gone it's "we can't cut the meat like that" " we don't have time to put that out right now maybe in an hour". Mind you it's the same meat I've been getting since they've opened!! I see them in back joking goofing around on their phones. But no time to cut meat. Okay..I no longer shop there. What happened you guys? Now I have to drive across town to El Super or Cardenas when you guys are literally 3 blocks away. So disappointing. This location has to have the worse service at their meat counter, the idea behind the service counter is to choose the steaks or anything they are selling vs. the pre-package meats, when we asked for a certain piece we were told that they are all the same and gave us an attitude - so why have a counter if you are going to service it with an attitude. The service at their other location on Bear Valley is superb. read more

First thought. It's the cleanest place in the hood! Second is wow they are packed and they shell out the dough for security. So yeah they know where they're at. The store is nice and clean. The specials are really well priced. They have some old school birote at the bakery area that I have been looking for for years. Along with many other Mexican style pastries. The produce looks good and appear to be number one grade unlike other Latino stores that stock with #2 Taste just as great but not as nice looking). The meat area looked really good and their meat seems to be exceptionally good and not left with extra unnecessary fat. In other words trimmed well. A couple downfalls is the prices on American products like Hillshire farms Lil smokies on sale for 6.39 and Clorox bleach for almost $9! That's a little out of control. Lol. Love this store! Our go to for fresh bread, and tortillas ! The carne asada is also really good.

Newly opened grocery store in the place where the indoor swap meet used to be. It is next to the 99 Cents Only store. This grocery has the best price for big T-Bone steaks right now at $5.99 a pound. Looks like I will be eating T-Bones for a few nights! Also beef ribs, too. I like that I can get prepared Mexican foods here. There is a self service tamale station as well. Fresh baked goods are also available. The produce is very fresh and of good quality. I like to get the assorted packs of prepared vegetables to make soup. It saves time and there is a good variety in these packs. Definitely, this a good grocery to add onto your list of stores. The neighborhood is sketchy but there is a security presence so I feel safe to shop here. read more

Besides the fact that the store is extremely dirty, we purchased two dairy products which was cottage cheese and yogurts, and they were both expired. We went back the next day and they wouldn't exchange the expired items. Do not recommend this store and their customer service is horrible. Stay away from this store !!! read more

So I was happy to see a Superior open in the High Desert. Been going to the one in San Bernardino for 25 years. This one however is a disappointment. Parking is always an issue. The isles are only wide enough for one shopping cart at a time near the registers because of displays in the middle. The conchas are dry and hard. Even the carnitas and tamales aren't good here.
