The store was well presented, featured a nice variety of fresh fruit and vegetables and being just three days before Christmas, the place was jumping yet organized and friendly. On this occasion, we were able to use the bathroom, as we've been doing for the last 15 to 20 years and purchase some snacks. My wife chose some apples and cheese that we shared in the car, as well as some candy. As we checked out, the cashier asked if we wanted to contribute to the local food bank, and we would not even have known had she not mentioned it. It was our pleasure to contribute. So, should you find yourself in Hawthorne Nevada, needing to use the restroom, the Safeway is a good bet to meet your needs. We never hesitate to go here and we'll be back.

Not only is it relatively well stocked, with an excellent pharmacy and automotive services onsite, other services such as Subway, a medical clinic, and a salon are present inside. The array of customers who frequent here is an excellent cross-section of contemporary life and the store appeals to all income levels. It's also one of the few places where it's not uncommon to find equestrian women picking up groceries, still wearing dusty western boots with spurs, before heading home. That always make me smile. Discerning grocery shoppers are accommodated as well. Organic fruits, vegetables, pastured eggs, some grass-fed beef, grass-fed butter, wild caught and processed in the USA fish are available. Sure, it's not perfect and you have to look for these items, but they are there. Unlike other locations, "The People of Walmart" make an infrequent appearance here. The general atmosphere is very positive. Staff is uniformly friendly and have been exceptionally helpful when posed with a question. Parking lot is huge and modified for icy/snowy conditions.

The staff is always helpful and friendly. I stop in now and then for a snack or drink, it is nice to have indoor and some outdoor seating. We like this better than South Lake Tahoe because it has fewer crowds and is just 30 minutes from South Reno and Carson City. Quality/Quantity - Incline's Raley's is always good. This manager does a GREAT job maintaining this location. Even when Incline is full of visitors (tourists), this location still has high standards. Always positive in stock conditions. The best part is that they really do not have any good competitors, but that does not stop them from being good. You have to drive all the way to Kings Beach to go to Safeway or Tahoe Central, etc. I know Grocery Outlet has entered the area, but I have not visited them yet and really do not plan to. I just noticed more improvements! Tap room, community center (similar to the one we have in South Reno!), dry aged beef, etc. Atmosphere - Always clean and inviting. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 11pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Team is always friendly. Price - Considering the limited competition, I feel the prices are fair. I expect to pay a little more when I shop the Raley's/Nob Hill brand. Owner Suggestion - This manager is doing a great job, and I hope Raley's appreciates and recognizes this. If not, at least we do!
