He was soliciting work Because we had two very large dead oak trees in our front yard. At first, Josh appeared, professional and knowledgeable, and he assured us that he could have a crew and equipment on site immediately. He pressured us to pay in full before any word began stating that he needed the money to secure rental equipment and pay his workers. Against our better judgment, and because he insisted this was the only acceptable form of payment for a job. This size we paid him $14,500 in cash. Within within an hour, the crew arrived and began cutting. Not even 30 minutes into the job a large branch was dropped, crushing our shed and damaging our well system. Immediately after causing the damage, the crew packed up and left the property without explanation and never returned. We attempted to contact Josh multiple times, but he refuses to answer or take responsibility. We filed a report with the sheriffs office, but were told it is considered a civil matter. At this point it feels like we are dealing with a clear case of fraud yet as the saying goes, you can't get blood from a stone.

I've contacted Watwood multiple times, and each time he would tell me he is coming out in the next few days, but he never shows. The owner and his staff were quietly personable, and I'm so disappointed at how they left me hanging, having to go to another company and pay for the work again. Come to find out he had most of his help quit for non payment and was forced to use more qualified higher paid people to get the job done. The Tree was dropped and while talking to a few employees it was clear they were worried about being paid and asked if i could pay them directly, I did not know what to say and seemed Matt was abit upset at them for asking the least I could do was to prepare a nice lunch for them with unlimited bottled water as it was very warm. Im not sure if things have gotten better i hope so for all involved but I would not recommend this tree service to anyone with a heart for the persons not being paid.
